My transaction was declined as being high risk - with no way for me to provide any additional information. How am I supposed to buy gift card if you are not going to help me in buying them. Extremely foolish risk model which is killing it's own business
Downloaded and printed out a $50 gift card from Chili's. When attempted to use it, cashier said account was closed. How embarrassing. I eventually got my money back but I will never use this site again!
Too many instances of cards or paper gift certificates not being
Accepted. Very embarrassing.
Just bought $800 of Hyatt GCs a few weeks ago,
There was a zero balance on $300 worth.
The front desk agent tried several times to get them to take.
Choices and prices are comparatively lesser (compared 3 other sites in many of the purchases that I have made here). Would definitely recommend!
Interface and UI can be improved for a better search and navigate experience which is why the 4 stars!
My gift card at Cheesecake Factory turned up zero and since it didn't report during the 45 days, I lost $88 which wiped out all of my prior savings plus more. I will really think it is much safer to participate in the merchant's direct rewards program.
Highly suspect business. Offers they provide are later denied as "Unable to Validate." This is likely due to some practice of trying to sell your card before they pay out. If it doesn't sell then they deny the offer. Why else would they take several days to "validate" the offer when it takes only a minute.
I input my card which was 100% validated by me to make sure. THEY offered a few choices for the card (other gift cards). I chose one and then waited days for them to "validate" the card. In the meantime I received an email from the "CEO" named Eric welcoming me. Then four days later they denied the transaction stating that my card could not be validated. I checked the card again and verified the amount in exactly one minute.
Use some other business. Just not this one.
IM SO PISSED BEYOND WORDS! I RECENTLY WON $1000 WORTH OF GIFT CARDS TO SEPHORA. I DONT SHOP THERE AND THOUGHT I COULD TAKE A LITTLE LOSS AND SELL THEM FOR CASH! WELL THEY CANCELLED MY ORDER AND TOOK THE MONEY OFF THE $#*!IN GIFT CARDS! IM SERIOUSLY SO $#*!ING PISSED! HOW IS THIS COMPANY OR WHATEVER IT IS, STILL OUT THERE AND NOT SHUT THE $#*! DOWN! I HOPE KARMA BITES THESE $#*!ERS IN THE $#*!! THANKS FOR TAKING MONEY AWAY FROM MY FAMILY YOU PIECES OF $#*!!
While some stores are just now learning how to process CardCash, they have all been friendly and very willing to learn. So far, after purchasing several gift cards, I've had no problems whatsoever and will continue using them!
Twice, I tried to buy from this site. Twice, I had my purchase mysteriously declined because of "fraud prevention measures". How that can happen when I used a standard credit card, I have no idea.
I was willing to give them one more shot, but my experience with customer service was absolutely horrible. I asked for an explanation and received absolutely nothing. Their reply amounted to a giant shoulder shrug and, "Hey, maybe try again -- third time's the charm!".
Good luck -- I'm not coming back.
I have purchased 3 cards from here - one worked perfectly, the other 2 had no value on the card - so that sort of gave me a bad taste in my mouth for this service. However, both times I got my money back into my paypal account very fast and with absolutely no hassle, that is something to appreciate.
I've tried a couple times to purchase a gift card from cardcash... once it worked fine, the other 2 times my account was flagged? Wth? This is part of their message... Your order has been flagged by our fraud systems as high risk.
Keep telling me "Your order has been flagged by our fraud systems as high risk." but could not provide details information or review my account. At the same time, I have no issue to purchase gift cards from Raise or Cardpool.
I love using CardCash to save a few bucks on my online purchases. I've ordered many gift cards and only had one issue of a card not working. That being said, customer service was great and helped resolve the problem. I highly recommend them!
I tried to use your website a number of times. Every time except one, my order was immediately cancelled because you had difficulty verifying my identity. I checked with customer service but didn't know either.
Cardcash's model has been duplicated, but they have consistently made it as simple as anyone to buy and sell cards, print off digital codes in some cases, and reverse charges for some physical cards and codes that didn't work.
I'm sure there are a lot of members who demand 100% success on purchased cards. The fact that I've only had one failure and that the complaint (or service request) was handled quickly is so much more important to my image of Cardcash.
They've also found a way to make the weekly sales emails minimal enough that it doesn't bother me to continue to receive them and dedicate five seconds a week for their message to be in front of my eyes. They're meant to be urgent flash sales, but it's building more long-term brand awareness and keeping CC in mind when I'm looking for a deal.
Wish I read these reviews before I made purchase on Card Cash.
I lost all gift card value after 45 days since I never had a chance to use it.
Customer service's response to me claim"Please be advised that we have received this claim beyond our 45 day buyer protection period." and "Buying from any Marketplace involves the classical Risk vs Reward decision. Consumers shopping on a marketplace can save up to 35% but will at times receive cards that are invalid or have a balance discrepancy. This is not something we can control. However, in order to make our customers feel a bit more comfortable we offer a 45 day buyer protection guarantee. CardCash encourages all of its customers to use the cards within that time period and if they encounter an issue to immediately let us know."
However, I don't get this experience when I shop on eBay or other gift cards places.
I've bought gift cards from CardCash, both physical and electronic, many times over the last few years and have had a great experience every time. They always arrive promptly, are very easy to redeem, and save me a lot of money. I'm very grateful for their services.
I've had a great experience with CardCash. Their discount electronic vouchers (gift cards) are normally delivered within 2 hours of purchase, so you can buy them once you know what you'll spend. The only time I got one that didn't have the face value promised on it, they quickly refunded my money. I've used this site dozens of times for many different merchants.
Many cards sold are invalid or have reduced balances from that sold. Cardcash does make good on the shortfalls, but if you don't catch it in time (45 days) they do not refund the amount paid for the shortfall
I sold one e-giftcard on CardCash and was paid appropriately within about a week. In fact, they have some of the best rates for sellers among similar sites. However, I have not been able to sell any additional gift cards because I can't pass CardCash's phone verification system. I am given a list of phone numbers to choose from, but none of them are mine. I appreciate their enhanced security, but there is no way for me to get around this and continue using the service.
Answer: Thanks for bringing up the CardCash BBB rating, we appreciate the opportunity to explain why we have this rating. A few months ago we got into a dispute with a seller who defrauded us. We decided to take this matter to court rather than simply resolve the complaint that seller filed with the BBB. As this complaint remains open while the case is adjudicated, the BBB has downgraded our rating. Once this matter is resolved we expect our rating to more accurately reflect our commitment to excellent customer service and business practices.
Answer: Negative comments because they deserve them. They have the best deals because they have the most scammers selling them cards. That's why they only have a 45 guarantee. The majority of their cards will be zerod out by the 45 days or right after. Then, you are screwed. They WON'T refund your money after that.
Answer: Yes, my brother had a bad transaction with Cardcash. He put a hold through PayPal and Cardcash had to respond and then quickly resolved the problem. Cardcash is the only gift card company that I have dealt with constantly sells bad cards. I know only use giftcardrescue, cardpool, or monster giftcard. Never had a problem with them.
Answer: We have a 45 day guarantee for such occurrences. Please reach out to our claims department so we can assist you. Thanks!
Answer: Of course! You are covered by our 45 day guarantee. Please email sitejabber@cardcash.com so we can resolve it immediately. Have a wonderful day!
Answer: They don't. Don't do it. They make it seem like this is a better, faster option but they've taken my $150 cards for over a week now and have not responded or provided me the MasterCard info. Please stay away and report to BBB as this is a common practice of theirs.
CardCash has a rating of 2.7 stars from 2,646 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with CardCash most frequently mention customer service, day guarantee and high risk. CardCash ranks 107th among Gift Cards sites.
Chandan, we are working on providing a better solution. Meanwhile, you can email sitejabber@cardcash.com if you'd like to push the order through.
