I recently had an encounter with CardCash.com, and unfortunately, it's one I'd advise others to approach with caution, and avoidance. Here's a summary of my encounter (and I've ensured honesty while omitting terms that could be flagged by the company, though there's no doubt about the outcome awaiting you).

When I stumbled upon CardCash.com amidst my search for a solution to unused gift cards, I was hopeful. But after attempting to sell just one gift card, valued at $100 from Hotels.com, I encountered issues that left me deeply skeptical.

The website itself is user-friendly, and the initial process of selling the gift card was smooth. However, my hesitancy led me to research further, where I discovered numerous complaints of rip-offs and scam-like behavior from recent users.

Shortly after the transaction, the system flagged my card as 'high risk,' effectively declining it. Despite reaching out to support for clarification, I was met with delays and vague responses. The lack of transparency was concerning, especially as I continued to check the card balance, only to find it had been partially used without my authorization.

Throughout this ordeal, I remained in contact with CardCash.com's support team, who offered little more than promises of expedited reviews. However, even after 14 days of waiting and multiple attempts to rectify the situation, no resolution was reached.

It's worth noting that I exhausted all possibilities, even considering scenarios where I might have been at fault. Yet, the evidence pointed to a troubling pattern of behavior on CardCash.com's part.

In sharing my experience, I urge others to exercise caution and avoid when dealing with this company. While I understand the need to choose one's words carefully to adhere to guidelines, it's essential to convey the reality of my encounter without resorting to inflammatory language that could jeopardize the review's credibility.

Be aware that every negative review is swiftly countered by a flood of new positive ones. Moreover, the company consistently ignores negative feedback, focusing solely on bolstering questionable 5-star reviews to maintain a facade of consumer support.

Great Service... but they take for every to pay you your money. Pay outs are higher on big store cards but very low on others. I wish they were quicker.

Past three perfectly legitimate gift cards were not accepted by their computer system. This means that their business is completely useless. I suggest trying someplace else.

I added my $350 hotels.com gift card to see if I could get anything back. And they took the money off without sending me any notification. They did NOT pay me, and they won't respond to my emails or anything! This website scams everybody.

I sent in a Sephora gift card for $30. Only to receive nothing from them after about 10 emails requesting them to send me the card. I still have not received my new Walmart card. They are horrible no customer service the number goes to a service who can't help you but send an email up the channel is what they said so basically they have stolen my $24.30. Don't use them!

Tried to use them for the first time and site automatically rejected my SELL request. So I used their support and provided additional details as requested. And without asking for more they still rejected my SELL request. This is horrible customer service as they should be working with me to figure this out.

I sent in two cards. They are saying they never got them. Uh huh. Kinda skeptical of that. If they end up actually paying me for them, I'll come update my review but right now... pretty sure they just got my gc for free. Only saving grace... I wasn't going to use them anyway so it's really not hurting me any. Really should have read more about them first though. Lesson learned!

I had $1400 in gift cards to sell and o Ly got 1085, so I lost $300 in the deal, otherwise they were great to deal with. I worried about them being sketchy, but they are totally trustworthy and I got my money very fast.

When selling gift cards to them, be very wary of the offer they present you. No matter how they make it sound, it apparently is in no way an actual offer to buy your card.

I intended to sell them three gift cards. As they requested in the very first step, I entered the brand of the cards and the card values. Their automated system spit out the amount they'd pay me, which was acceptable to me. In order to proceed with the sale, I entered all three gift card numbers and access codes. They implied they would pay me within 3 days, as soon as they confirmed the card balances and verified my identity. Considering I knew the cards were legitimate and my identity verification would be clean, I also proceeded to give them my bank account and routing number so they could pay me (as they stated) as soon as those confirmations were complete.

However, two days later, after collecting all sorts of personal info (including bank account number), getting me to create an account on their site and bombarding my email with marketing offers, they informed me they would not be buying the cards from me after all. Obviously, the legitimacy of the cards was not a concern, nor was my identity or background check. They clearly just decided, after further review, that they didn't want the cards (likely because the unusually high value would make it difficult for them to sell them for a profit). However, the first step in the process was asking me the brand and value of the card. If they don't want that brand of card for that dollar value, they should just set their offer-generation model to not make an offer. Pretty simple, right? But then I guess they wouldn't have been able to harvest all my data, so I guess this does make sense for them.

Why, why, why did I think this was a good idea? I read a good handful of decent to good reviews and was pretty hopeful. Their "24-48 hour" review time, even with the added time they claimed they needed because of the holidays, will turn into days, and then, in my case, a week. Customer service is robotic and incompetent at best, and ignores you at worst. They also require a credit card that they put a hold on while they spend over a week validating your gift card balance? And yet the also have a link for YOU to check the balance? How does it take a week for them to do it then and if they verify it, why are they holding on to your credit card info? Super super sketchy. As of now I'm out $150 and doubt I'll see it again. I reported to BBB. Anyone else with this kind of experience should too. When reporting, BBB website already had this business flagged for fraudulent card issuing, refusal to comply with their own terms, numerous refund complaints, etc. I can only imagine any decent reviews for this scam are from the customer service agents because God knows they aren't getting paid to actually take the whole 8 seconds it takes to check a balance on a card and have to find something to do.

Gift card that I bought from Cardcash for $50 had no value & Cardcash would not fix the issue - have a limited 45 day policy

I recently followed all steps in process to cash in gift cards thru cardscash only to get response that my cards cant be validated and they are mine to use / Still haven't received cards back valued at $2,200.00/ Cards are VALID so this company scammef me out of $2,200.00 / Ive contacted state attorney

This company literally has people who determine the value of the gift card then some robot determines whether to accept or reject said gift card, providing no reason whatsoever as to why it was rejected. I suggest using another site.

Despite contacting customer service as soon as I finished the purchase, they didn't accept a refund for an active and never used gift card. Very bad customer service and experience.

Refused two legitimate gift cards. No reply when I asked why. No reply when I asked to close my account. Basically useless app.

I have had very good experiences with Card Cash discounted gift cards. I only had an issue once and they took prompt care of it. I am a happy customer. Just be sure to use your card before the 45 deadline, as things do happen after that, as with ALL the discounted gift card websites. It's out of their control after that.

Short story: Bought a instacart gift card and tried to use it but it stated on the instacart website it was already redeemed. Customer service did not give me a refund or honor their 45 day guarantee.

Long Story: I have used cardcash to buy roughly 10-13 gift cards and haven't had an issue until recently. As stated above, I bought a instacart gift card to immediately use on a purchase I planned ahead of time. I tried multiple different attempts including making another account to see if maybe I redeemed too many gift cards with instacart. So I contacted customer service and in summary I did everything they asked to still get a sorry the gift card is new and we are not giving you a refund. I understand that this is a brand new gift card. What is the point of asking me for a picture which clearly shows the supposedly brand new gift card code showing "it has already been redeemed"? Secondly, I have tried more than twice, I have copied and paste it a multitude of times and I typed it out as well. Nothing works. I have bought many gift cards and haven't complained once. But I am beginning to lose my patience at the quality of customer service I am getting for being a loyal customer. If something is not done within 24 hours, I will do a chargeback to my card and I will make this situation known on every public forum, with the pictures and our customer service messages to support my claim.

As you can guess, nothing was done and I didn't receive a response. Now I'm making sure everyone know what they can potentially deal with when giving your money to this company.

The ease of selling my gift card was unbelievable. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that it took well over the 48 hours once approved to actually see my funds. Granted, everything is slower since COVID-19, but honestly it shouldnt affect an electronic payment. Overall, can't complain and will def use again to sell and possibly buy gift cards, as well.

I bought a $100 Chili's gift card. I tried to use it and the balance was $0. I contact cash card and was told that I did not use the gift card within 45 days. I used it a few days later. NO EXCEPTIONS!

They just kept my money, even though I did not even get a partial benefit. Very sneaky.

They say they need a credit card to buy gift cards but then you give them card numbers and they decline them even though there money on it. Then I give them access to my PayPal to pay them and they steal 2$ and don't buy my giftcards.

I always use cardcash to sell my unwanted giftcards. They pay you super fast and they pay the best!
