Paid $76 for a $100 massage envy gift card for my sister. Just received a call from her telling me i was ripped off. I wouldn't give this place a one star if i had the choice.
Low ball offer. Very slow process overall. Customer support is non existant. Communication is not detailed and response times are abysmal. Painfully slow electronic transfer methods. Antiquated procedures. No replies for Customer Support. Canned responses for help ticket requests lack sufficient reassurance. Verification of personal banking horrible. PayPal transfer portion cumbersome. No way to escalate a ticket which is ignored for the first 2 business days anyway so don't bother requesting actions on specific problems. Inadequate means of recourse to recoup losses during transaction stalls. Business model in theory a possibility under different management. Neglible focus on you, your transactions, your interest, or concerns. They definitely reap the profit up front foremost and then again use your money for profit without interest payment during the holding period. The promised wait time versus reality is ridiculously comical and considering its almost 2023 this site should be avoided at all costs to you of course. EFT/ACH and the current app models like venmo or cashapp prove instant electronic payments are the norm and this company is definitely not up to expectations. For what it's worth, you are better off selling your gift card standing in a parking lot like a Walmart booster. Horrible situation overall. Definitely would consider a competitor in the future. This company has a lot of progress to make and that needs addressing in the future if they are to survive. Do not recommend this company until they can step up their game. Choose a different route. Every portion of the entire experience leaves much to be said on the negative.
I made a purchase for a gift card large sum almost 2K. I used the wrong credit card and requested for them to change my method of payment. NOPE they refused and I got screwed because the CC I was supposed to use I had an offer on it and now its going to bite me on my $#*! because I used the wrong card.
YOU GUYS SUCK. I purchased over 5K worth of credit cards since last year and still, you can not help with just changing a payment? Unfortunately I rather use other alternatives that are helpful. Had very high hopes but ill use cards4cash, gift card granny, gift card wiki, cardcookie, cardbear, raise, giftcardpalace, cardbazaar etc..
I sold them a $300 gift card they confirmed it and after verification they accepted it. I accepted the $ 255 offer they sent me $9.01. Says it was 0 dollars on it. Well why give Me 9 bucks if that's true I made sure money was accounted for before selling it. They are scammers and will not let me speak with any higher ups.
Where to begin. I bought Southwest airline gift cards, used them immediately. Two weeks later and Southwest contacts me and says there was a problem with gift cards. Come to find out, the gift cards were purchased with stolen credit cards and eventually terminated.
I was also confronted by a store owner when I used a gift card from cardcash that was also bought with a bad credit card number. So you are rolling the dice for a measly savings. Not worth it ever and all you are supporting are criminals.
I entered my gift card from The Home Depot. THEY offered me an amount. I accepted.
Then I got a pleasant email that my money was on the way. Then two days later, I get an email that says "Unfortunately, CardCash has decided not to accept your order.
This decision is final. Your gift card(s) are now yours to use and will not be retained by CardCash.
Any cards received, will be shipped back to the address we have on file.
Thank you for your business!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR BUSINESS?
Good thing I did not discard my gift card AFTER they accepted it.
They suck. Stay away.
I sent in a few giftcards for cash and they "magically" lost them and won't pay for them. They are scammers - not paying for giftcards but reselling them at 100% profit.
You can get a little extra discount with CardCash for a purchase you KNOW you will not return, but NEVER buy a card to give as a gift or to save for later. I have had too many situations where the seller continues to use the card and it is $0 when you get around to using it. Do you want your father to ask why you gave him a blank gift card for Father's day? Was your childhood that terrible!?! There is a 'guarantee' but it is a short window. A 5% extra savings is not worth the hassle of filing a ticket and proving you didn't use the card. I learned the hard way so you could learn the easy way.
These guys are criminals, i turned in 2 ebay cards in which i made sure sure i double checked the balance before i submitted to be cashed. They ended up cashing 1 card and the other card was supposedly 0. I called ebay but they wouldn't tell me who cashes the other cared but it was cashed the same day i submitted the card. Cardcash told me to call FCC to lay a complain. DONT USE THEM!
Generally satisfied with this company. I sold some gift cards to this company but took me a while to get my check. If you want your money faster, do paypal or direct deposit. It would be nice if you did not have to send in the gift cards.
Customer service sux(Arlene Perez) was one of them. I will never go to that website again! Decided to just keep my gift card instead of waisting my time getting emails that just say order number, literally that's all it said over and over. Even after telling them I didn't have one.
I submitted two UNUSED gift cards totally $75 and had verified the balances with the issuing store before doing so. CardCash cancelled my order, and when I called them (off-shore, of course), I was told there was NO value on the cards. I called the issuing store again and was assured that the full value was there. This "company" will sell you gift cards, but they don't like buying them Total and complete fraud. AVOID!
I should have looked into the details more, before submitting anything. It does not disclose beforehand that it takes up to 2 days to payout. If I'm using PayPal (express), that's ridiculous. Any other site would have it paid out within an hour, tops. I'd be better off using the gift card. Everything is verified and I processing within 5 minutes of submission. So 2 days to payout is just ridiculous. If you're in need of quick cash, DO NOT USE THIS SITE!
This is a review for those considering buying gift cards from this merchant. Having used a number of their competitors, I would urge you to avoid this seller.
(Rather than say "this is a scam") I'm hoping to tell you my story and it will convince you that they are not to be trusted:
I have had multiple experiences where the Quality checks on their GC inventory are simply non-existent (to borderline intentionally lacking, more on that later). One instance was buying an e-gift card, which it turned out there was no value on the card. This is a very easy check that their IT developers can code an automated QC check on most if not all digital products. This can be a terrible scenario if you were relying on the card to be useful (say for a day out to a ball game or an amusement park, only for you to get to the Park with the wider family, friends, etc and your cards don't work). Luckily I checked as soon as the card was delivered, and had a little over 24 hours to correct it.
The 2nd instance was that I ordered a GC to a Pet store (you know the big chains that start with Pet.) this time being a physical card. This time, the warehouse shipped a card to a totally different retailer. Completely unacceptable. Of course, when one calls CS, you are told they have QC processes. This seems highly unlikely.
Now, to 1 theory of mine: Upon online purchase at their site, they have your credit card charged, have your money. It then takes days potentially a week to ship you your card. Perhaps you are busy Mon-Fri with your day job and won't get to check their card inside the mail until the weekend (e.g. When you do your weekend shopping). Then you wait until Monday to angrily ask for the refund (simply navigate what the heck happened). At the very least, even if you get to call back the day of receiving your card, you need to rely on USPS to mail them the card back (same 2-3 days to a week). Since then, for my current experience, it has taken another 7 days (since when the USPS tracking number has reported it shipped back/arrived) for them to process the refund, which is still not processed.
This is an extremely long amount of time for this retailer to manipulate "the float" aka the duration of time they have your funds. For working class people, this can be a nightmare. For fraudulent retailers, they can attempt this once, times the number of orders they process in 1 day (hundreds easily, if not thousands) and you can see where potentially you withhold close to a 7 figure amount of "Float" before you have to give it back weeks later. The attorney general of NJ will need to look into this enterprise, but I leave you with those stories and to make your own judgement.
I purchased quite a few gift cards from CardCash only to try and use them and find that CardCash had STOLEN money from me. They sold the same gift card 2 and 3 times AFTER selling the card to me. I have every gift card purchased from them with the names of the other people they sold the same card to and how much was used and where it was used. They are dishonest and I do NOT under any circumstances recommend using them!
Went to sell my ebay gift card and boom they say will give 172.87 for a 200.00 card send it then boom money gone and I don't have any
I mailed my gift card from the Post Office. Over a month later they say they never got it. I think I am being scammed!
I have had very good experiences with Card Cash discounted gift cards. I only had an issue once and they took prompt care of it. I am a happy customer. Just be sure to use your card before the 45 deadline, as things do happen after that, as with ALL the discounted gift card websites. It's out of their control after that.
I am retired and need to save wherever I can. Thank you
This site removed the $ off my gift card, "tested" my credit card (to "see if it was active"), and then cancelled my order without letting me know. When I checked to see my order status, I saw that it was cancelled and then questioned it. They let me know it's because the gift card was worth $0, even though there was confirmation days earlier that there was $$ on it. DO NOT RECOMMEND. YOU WILL LOSE YOUR $
I have been using CardCash, on and off, for three years now and can safely say their service is legit. You can sell your unwanted gift cards for either cash (deposited directly to your bank account or to your PayPal account) or for another gift card(s) that you want. The choice is up to you. To date, I have sold unwanted gift cards to them on four separate occasions. One time for another gift card and three times for cash. As a heads up, they don't give you full value for your gift cards. They take off a percentage of the actual cards value to cover service charges. You still get a good amount for your gift cards, though. Their website is really easy to use and sending them your unwanted gift cards is very easy as well. All in all, if you have gift cards just sitting around collecting dust, why not sell them for cash or actual gift cards you want? It's a win-win situation, if you ask me. Go ahead and give them a try.

Answer: Thanks for bringing up the CardCash BBB rating, we appreciate the opportunity to explain why we have this rating. A few months ago we got into a dispute with a seller who defrauded us. We decided to take this matter to court rather than simply resolve the complaint that seller filed with the BBB. As this complaint remains open while the case is adjudicated, the BBB has downgraded our rating. Once this matter is resolved we expect our rating to more accurately reflect our commitment to excellent customer service and business practices.
Answer: Negative comments because they deserve them. They have the best deals because they have the most scammers selling them cards. That's why they only have a 45 guarantee. The majority of their cards will be zerod out by the 45 days or right after. Then, you are screwed. They WON'T refund your money after that.
Answer: Yes, my brother had a bad transaction with Cardcash. He put a hold through PayPal and Cardcash had to respond and then quickly resolved the problem. Cardcash is the only gift card company that I have dealt with constantly sells bad cards. I know only use giftcardrescue, cardpool, or monster giftcard. Never had a problem with them.
Answer: We have a 45 day guarantee for such occurrences. Please reach out to our claims department so we can assist you. Thanks!
Answer: Of course! You are covered by our 45 day guarantee. Please email sitejabber@cardcash.com so we can resolve it immediately. Have a wonderful day!
Answer: They don't. Don't do it. They make it seem like this is a better, faster option but they've taken my $150 cards for over a week now and have not responded or provided me the MasterCard info. Please stay away and report to BBB as this is a common practice of theirs.
