Ordered a t-shirt 12/10 as a Christmas gift. Received notification on 12/17 that I should receive order 12/19- 12/20. On 12/24 still have not received order. Seems they are good at taking the order and the money. They just can't deliver. Never again.
I placed an order with expedited shipping and was charged $13.00 for the package to arrive on 12/18. Unfortunately they did not follow the instructions and shipped by common freight with the package to arrive by 1/3/2016. It is scheduled to arrive by the end of the day 12/24 but that is too late.
The customer service rep I spoke too admitted they have a bug in their software which changes shipping instructions but places blame on the customer. They are willing to refund the amount their system says they charged but not the amount I was charged unless I provide proof of payment.
They have a known software issue which impacts customers, blame the error on their customers, and will only refund based on what is in their computer system, not on what was charged.
I am now dealing with a very disappointed daughter that will not be able to follow through on a very special plan for the holidays. All of this because of a known software problem!
I used the option of Amazon pay on CafePress, and it didn't give me the option to review my shipping address... which I realized right as I hit the submit button. Reviewing the order, it had an old address that I no longer lived at.
Next day I called customer service to change the address but it had already shipped. They put in a new order with correct address at no charge!
They do need to fix the ability to check address with Amazon pay though.

I bought the hooded t-shirt shown in the photo. I received something else. The photo showed a simple juniors shaped and contoured hoodie that was long enough to go easily over the hips. What I received was a square, unshaped, cropped length hoodie that is not pictured online (see photos). I called them to return it, and they said donate it somewhere and that I got a full refund. I'm most upset with not getting what they advertised and wasting my time in thinking this would make a good gift. Never again... stay away from this shopping site.
I ordered a tee shirt with a saying.It cannot be read all all. It just looks like a plain black tee. If you want a tee with a saying, go to Joann Fabrics and buy some fabric markers. The shirt Cafe press sent was a TOTAL waste.
Cafepress has an amazing customer service staff. I love all their products and have found incredible, unique gifts and items for myself. Their products are of the absolute highest quality. But it is without a doubt the Cafepress customer service staff that has kept me extremely loyal. Because I had a very poor quality phone and computer, I have often have difficult it placing certain orders. Without fail, with one phone call, the customer service will help me with any problem with complete professionalism.
I ordered several printed mugs that were guaranteed to come b4 Christmas. Still waiting. It is now 2nd January. Every time I email them with my order no. And product no's and question as to where my order is, they don't reply to that. I do get emails from them offering discounts off future items. I have ordered lots of things from lots of websites and have ALWAYS received them AND on time. Wondering if they'll ever come. Would not recommend their website, they are unreliable. Would not rate them at all.

I recently received my order (#*******) and I am far from happy with the quality.
The printing on the cap is so light it is barely visible and the logo is not even printed centrally. This does not match the pre-purchase description or image at all.
I have tried to contact customer support via the website but I continue to receive emails saying that my message has 'been delayed'. After a day or two I receive another message saying my message has 'timed out' and has not been delivered.
I am far from happy with the product and the service. I can't even make contact to request a refund and I want this sorted!

I can't believe what low ratings people have given CafePress. I have ordered there many many times and gotten great service and great products. I also sell my designs there and make some money doing it. This is a great company. Maybe it is just because most people who are happy with a site do not write reviews.
I just ordered and received a zip up sweat shirt from them, it was a link from my school (Academy of Art University) paid $38. I am sorry, but it was worth maybe $5. The logo print was smeared and VERY faded. I wore it a few times and washed it. Well, apparently DO NOT WASH should be included in the how to take care of the sweat shirt because now the logo is almost invisible. THE WORST way to spend (waste) $38. I feel like I was totally ripped off. I don't know if I should be upset at my school for recommending such a lousy company or the printing company that did a crappy job of printing. Just goes to show, maybe printed items are just bad, from here on I will order items with stitched logos, not cheapo iron on's.

Avoid if at all possible. Really liked this samoyed cap from Cafepress for its cute design. Although not sure if the designer has any affiliation with CafePress directly in printing the product - customer service was not able to help me get in touch with the designer. The product I received was misleading and didn't 100% match the image online. I contacted customer service inquiring if it is worth reordering or if it will just come out the same as the one I received or if the one I received has a misprint because of the color option I chose or if it's completely defective. I provided the rep with images as well. Not only was the rep very unfriendly and not helpful at all but asked over and over where I saw the difference between the product I received and the image online when to me, the images I provided are super apparent. I expressed I do see the "brown shadows" but what appears on the site does not match the actual product where the shades of brown are definitely darker and the white looks already faded. The rep completely disregarded my dissatisfaction and repeatedly said that is just the way it was printed. The rep offered me a refund for the product only and not the shipping costs. I would steer clear of CafePress based on this experience - and simply because the products advertised do not match the actual product. The 100% satisfaction guarantee is also bull.
Worked with them by phone and email to use an image. Once approved I received confirmation that all was well. Several days later I go to check the order status - CANCELLED. I jumped through several of their legal hoops to use our national logo only to have the final product cancelled with no notification. I will never use CafePress again and hope this saves someone else the hassle.
I order something small 3 weeks in advance. I was told it shipped with plenty of notice. Never got it, as the date got closer to when I actually needed it, I called and asked them to overnight another one and they said no. Terrible customer service, never got what I paid for.

I ordered a hat with the insignia of my brothers ship. What junk and poor workmanship. Can't read ANY of the insignia! Couldn't send it back because my brother is mentally ill and didn't tell me until much later. I see that they also have a restocking fee. Never never, never, will I order from them again.
I bought a rug from them, thinking it would be a normal rug, its not its a throw rug that you cant even walk over without messing it up and its cheap meaning its just printed on kind of thick material. Man I got duped its always hit or miss with online shopping I guess. I should of read the reviews first. It was pretty pricey too 150.00 for a 5x7 rug.
I love Cafe Press! I always receive what I have ordered with no defects meaning no returns! Great communication also to tell me when my orders have been shipped (which is always very quickly) and always offering discounts! What a great organisation! Customer for life!
Ordered from them twice - the first time was a t shirt which was delivered very quickly. The second time was a custom wall clock which was ordered before Christmas and didn't arrive until January. They don't tell you when you order that the custom products actually come from America so as an international customer (despite ordering from the UK store) the items take 7-10 working days longer to be delivered which is very misleading. When the clock did arrive it looked really cheap and was damaged. I contacted customer service who gave me a full refund straight away. I wouldn't recommend the site for custom products but for other items from the store they are fine.
I ordered a christmas gift on Nov 27 and was told it would arrive in Australia between Dec 11 - 15. As of Dec 23rd it still hasn't even been dispatched from the USA! An absolute joke - avoid like the plague.
Answer: I believe the company did a great job on growth and promoting the "little guy" and November 2013 they changed policies, changed production, changed items and product quality and reduced shop owners commissions on their way to becoming greedy. They made the company a public traded entity on the stock market and was out for themselves. They got rich, the stocks fell, the products became of poor quality, and August of 2014 the president, CEO bailed out and left. To regroup they have tried to add companies like Marvel Comics, Snoopy and other big names to keep the losses from poring in, instead of supervising quality and buying a better quality product. If you want to see their spread sheet of losses, and their news headlines since please feel free.
