In store order for a gun on sale, the guy told me it would be sent to store in 5 days and I could pick it up then. Ordered on Mar. 4 2017, waited anxiously until Mar. 11 2017. Went to Cabelas and checked to see if it had arrived and it had not. He said they would call me or e-mail me. I found out I had a tracking number on my receipt so I tracked it. My order had been canceled immediately on Mar 4 2017. I call Cabelas and got a bunch of Bull Crap for reason why it was canceled. Very disappointed.If they didn't have any more of the guns it should have showed up when I did the paperwork to order it.

Do not buy a gun here! The guy behind the counter where unfriendly, and unprofessional. I went to trade in my gun with a friend who is legal to buy a gun. Some blonde guy saw this and went to the computer and banned both of us to ever buy a gun from Cabala's.

I ordered a Blackout bow sight. What I assumed would be new in the box. What I got was a used return item, missing parts and crudely repackaged and taped shut so badly a 2yr old would have done a better job at. Contacted customer service. Waited 30 mi Tues on hold. Did talk to a nice lady that said they are shipping a replacement. Then when I contacted them again about the whereabouts of the other 2 items I ordered, was given the runaround and told that I was a liar because they dint ship returned items. Cleary a directevie that the customer service rep. Matt B. Was following. Was also informed that the 2 day shipping wasn't actually 2 day shipping, just a selling point. There are plenty of other places to spend your money and time.

Ordered a Nikon Rangefinder and did not get a order confirmation email. Waited a couple days and emailed customer service. Two days receive order confirmation saying order has shipped and waiting for UPS pickup. Nope, 4 days later still waiting for UPS pickup. Call customer service, yep lost/missing order may have to reorder item. Customer Service Agent transfers me to shipping with a 1 minute wait time... 25 minutes later (i was curious) I hang up and call back. This agent claims that nope not lost, its UPS not updating their website... they can't do anything about it. The kicker is the customer service agent said "the item is on schedule." Ordered Nov. 28th and 8 days later order is still in limbo... right on schedule. My schedule is, if I don't have it in 2 days I will call my credit card company to stop payment. I will never do business with Cabela's again.

I really have never written a review before, but after three months waiting for my stuff I ordered from the Cabela's online store and still having no reply or items I am upset to say the least.
I have called their customer service agents who have told me the items are "now" on back order, which they were NOT when I ordered them. The customer service agents have told me a 3-5 month wait is normal for items on "Backorder". They will not give me the items out of the store because these are "store stock" and not from the "website stock".
At this point I just want my money back so I can go to BassPro or Sail who actually care about their customers!

I just received the sale flyer and tried to buy the graph lowrance hook2 the price was $329 - $100 rebate. Well like the last 2 time the sale paper came it is already out of stock. I asked about the next Graph in the same add out of stock. I called customer service and got the royal double talk. It will be the my last time shopping there.

Had a gift card that i got for retirement. Odered over the value of it the order wasnt complete returned the whole order. After jump through their hoops which took 6 weeks. Them sending me two cards one about 4 weeks which didnt total the amount. More hoop jumping and they finally sent one for the differance. Went to use them and only one worked. Now back to jumping through the hoops

Cabelas has hunting, fishing, boating, and camping equipment. They also have equipment for Atv driving. They have outdoor clothing and shoes. They have many great deals. I have purchased camping equipment and hiking boots from this site, and I was very happy with my purchase.

The worst website
November 15, 2021

The website is the worst website I have ever been on. It items on page is too big. I can't click to the next page. I can't change the sort or filter without a permanent gray screen. The only way to fix it is to go back to the homepage. I just want to look around and get something, but this website is a mess.

Fishing table
June 12, 2021

1 st time shopping at cabelas and the last time Ordered a fishing filet table and 2 days after I ordered it as a gift it goes on sale for 20 $ less. Cabelas will not price match there own ad. Said i could return it and then repurchase it at the lower cost. Then I wouldn't receive it in time... what a great place. Won't do business here again.

Not a good experience

Ordered a Kimber. Paid online
2 weeks later, went in to find out that the product was at the store, but not put into their system.
I did the background check and was put in the que.
2weeks later got an email that my order was canceled. Refund processed.
Went in to repay for the product and found out that my item is on a hard hold from corporate. Even if my BC was approved, I couldn't purchase it.
It's been 1.5 months.

They will lose your order, Telll you to contact them if not shipped by the next day. When you recontact them, they will tell you 24 hrs. To get it shipped and fail to do so. When you again contact them, they will tell you there is nothing they can do. Then refuse to cancel your order!
Yet, they will charge your account with no problem.
No longer a trusted company in my book!

My Dad used say to me when I got taken advantage of "boy they sure saw you coming". Well that's exactly how I feel here. I recently bought a UTV at the Ralston NE store and it was very exciting. The machine was a stripped down version and I remember talking with the sales rep about all the accessories I wanted to get. She gleefully agree with me as she finalized the paperwork but little did I know I was in for a rude awakening. Accessories? Ha! Yeah if you want to wait a year and good luck even then. My wife hit the phones and was able to finally talked to someone who could get us what we wanted in approximately 3 weeks, Great! Not to Bad. So we looked and discovered hey since we bought the machine there we get 10% off accessories and even more if we wait and order on a Tuesday we get another 10% Fabulous! No wait it's a "special order" and the discount does not apply. What kinda BS is that. Cabelas, you hometown shop you, YOU'RE A JOKE AND I AM DONE SPENDING MY MONEY IN YOUR STORE!

I've been trying to purchase and on board charger and when I get to the check out for the item to purchase they won't finish the transaction and state it is not available. They still have the same add. ProMariner ProSport 15 Triple Bank On-Board Marine Battery Charger $129.97

I had placed my order over 2 weeks ago for a Taurus G3c that's right a Taurus G3c the gun you can find at literally any gun shop i had just been charged for it over a week ago but still haven't gotten confirmation that it has shipped if you don't want to get your item within a timely manner i suggest shopping here :)

I did order firearm Baretta APX on line on April 6 order #******* and was charged for it, By Jun 4 I had numerous conversations with customer service and my order was nowhere to be found still showing as in transfer :( Probably was coming from Italy? At this point I cancelled the order, and was supposed to be refunded within 1 week. However after few more conversation I am still waiting on my refund. Customers service is just terrible. They are talking all excuses COVID and such. I tried in store Hoffman Estate but they also could not do anything. Apparently there is one thing Cabela's did right, and on time CHARGE ME. I am still waiting on my refund today July 14th 2020

CABELA'S IS THE ONLY PLACE WHERE YOU GET THE BEST FISHING AND HUNTING STUFF, BUT MY EXPERIENCE NOT ONLY TODAY BUT AS MANY TIMES I HAVE BEEN THERE KEEP GOING WORST WORST AND WORST. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THE GUN DEPARTMENT IS THE WORST. THE PERSON NOT EVEN READY TO DO A EYE CONTACT WITH THE PEOPLE STANDING AND WAITING IN LINE AND AFTER STANDING FOR ONE HOUR IN THE LINE A THIRD PERSON ENTER AND DIRECTLY START TALKING TO THE STAFF IN THE GUN SECTION. RIDICULOUS. THEN THE VISITOR STARTS BEING RACIST AND TREATS THE OTHER VISITOR AS IF HE HAS DONE SOMETHING WRONG. DOESN'T STOP SAYING FUNKING AND TELL HIM THAT HE SHALL TAKE HIM TO HIS DOG AND GET HIM BITTEN BY HIS DOG.
THE STAFF STANDING THERE IS NOT RESPONDING NOR READY TO HELP THE PEOPLE FIGHTING THERE.
WORST STAFF WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE SEEN EVER IN MY LIFE.

I ordered a Bass Raider 10e Boat on 05/21/20. The boat shoed 2-3 weeks delivery and they charged my card over $500 for the item.
On 06/19/20 I called and was told that it would be in and available for pickup on 06/22/20. After checking the status changed to "backordered". I patiently waited again.
Today I checked the status and it now shows "Shipped" but in the details it said "cancelled".
I called and found out that my order has been cancelled!
I asked about the hold on my money and they said it should be released soon! They have held my money for over 7 weeks only to cancel the order.

Won't be dealing with them again even though they are just about the only sports/fishing store in town. I'll order online from another company from now on. I won't trust BassPro or Cabella's anymore.

I had purchased 2 pairs of jeans online because there is not a retail store near me. One pair of jeans were too short on me since my legs are very long. I ordered a size 2 regular because they didn't have a "long" size in hopes they would fit but they did not. Before I mailed the item out for return, I called customer service to let them know that I did not have access to the card I purchased them on since I had to cancel the card. The operator I spoke to said that they made a not on my order number to have the refund be placed on a gift card. I received an email a day or 2 after mailing out the item that the refund was processed to my card that had been compromised. So I called again. The operator I spoke to this time said that he saw the note but that apparently "payment processing didn't see the note". So he made another note on my order. When I called payment processing the next day I was displeased with the attitude from her. She emailed me later saying that now J have to get in touch with my mastercard company to get the refund switched to my new card. She said it could take 2-10 days for the refund to "appear" on my account so now I have to deal with that. It's like they purposefully don't do their job and make the consumer clean up their mess. Again, I love the clothes but the customer service sucks.
