Sadly I wish I had found these reviews for Showcase BEFORE purchasing an item from them. Echoing some of the other reviews, the item I received was not what I had ordered (it was a Miffy plush toy with a scarf and a hat but what was received was missing the hat - see pics). I'm not asking for a refund but just a simple exchange so I can receive what I had ordered. I couldn't find a number to call anywhere on their site so I reluctantly sent multiple emails to them with a detailed description of what the issue was along with a picture of what I had ordered from their website versus what I received. Not surprisingly, not a peep from them other than an automated response that they will get back to me within a few business days. After reading these other reviews, I'm anticipating that no one will be getting back to me. In today's e-commerce and customer-centric environment, this company is an absolute joke. The optimistic side of me is hoping that I will eventually receive what I ordered but the realistic side is telling me that this is probably a lost cause. Needless to say I will never purchase from this company again.
Absolutely. Worst store ever and site ordered $400 worth of gifts for it to be Deland then supposed to be resent and delayed again and refuses to give back refund before items are back in their hands.
They told us that when you buy 3 items you get the 3rd one for free.but when we did. They said ypu have to have an account to get the promo. Not everyone has an account with them so they did not give us the 3rd item for free and we cannot return the stuff anymore. So they a re a bunch of big fat ugly Liers i n there. I wo t recommend that store to any of my friends or any one I know
The company advertised Black Friday pricing for Pop Mart items; however, my online orders have been cancelled without reasoning. Since then the company has raised prices and removed the Black Friday ads.
I ordered an item from the Halloween section of the website, in mid-Oct. I live in Toronto, so I presumed that I left ample time for the item to arrive for Halloween (over 2 weeks). I had ordered a Halloween costume for my son. After about a week with NO shipping updates, I emailed Showcase, and they told me that they don't have the item yet. They were still waiting for THEIR vendors to deliver the costumes, and had no info on when they would arrive. So... they're just selling things they don't even have? Is this legal? Anywho, fast forward to over a week later and still no costume. Tomorrow is Halloween. Great job, Showcase. What a scam.
I ordered a pair of sneaker design slippers for a child as a Christmas gift. Unfortunately, Showcase sent the wrong pair, which initially seemed like an honest mistake. When I reached out to Showcase via the email address provided, I included photographic evidence of both my order confirmation and the item received, demonstrating that they were different.
Despite this evidence, the customer service team insists Showcase is not at fault because the SKU number matches, even though the images used to advertise the item are inaccurate. SKU numbers have no impact on the customer experience, as there's no way for consumers to know if an incorrect photo has been linked to a specific SKU, this in itself is an act against the Competition Act as businesses are not permitted to use illustrations that are different from the product being sold.
Furthermore, the customer service team continues to direct me to a link for filing a return request. I have submitted this request twice and received automated emails stating they would respond within 1-2 days. However, it has now been 8 days since my initial submission.
It is against the law to make materially false or misleading representations to promote a product, service or business interest. A representation is "material" if the general impression it conveys leads someone to take a particular course of action, like buying or using a product or service. A "representation" refers to any marketing material, including online and in-store advertisements, direct mail, social media messages, promotional emails, and endorsements, among other things. Insisting that there is no issue, despite photographic evidence showing that the goods delivered do not match the purchased items, constitutes a violation of the Competition Act:
Section 52 (1) "No person shall, for the purpose of promoting, directly or indirectly, the supply or use of a product or for the purpose of promoting, directly or indirectly, any business interest, by any means whatever, knowingly or recklessly make a representation to the public that is false or misleading in a material respect."
Paragraph 74.01(1)(a) A person engages in reviewable conduct who, for the purpose of promoting, directly or indirectly, the supply or use of a product or for the purpose of promoting, directly or indirectly, any business interest, by any means whatever, (a) makes a representation to the public that is false or misleading in a material respect;
I had an absolutely horrendous experience at Showcase. I bought an air cooler for $300, assured by the employee that I would receive a full refund if it didn't work. The cooler turned out to be a complete disaster—it didn't blow cool air at all. When I went back to return it just two days later, the manager not only refused to accept the return but also treated me with the utmost disrespect. She was a complete maniac, rolling her eyes, sighing loudly, and speaking to me in a condescending tone. She interrupted me multiple times, didn't listen to my concerns, and acted as if I was a nuisance. Her attitude was so hostile that it felt like she was looking for an argument rather than trying to help. To make matters worse, there's no number to contact Showcase and report this appalling behavior. This was by far the most unprofessional and unpleasant encounter I've ever had. I will never set foot in that store again, and I urge others to stay away as well. Total waste of time and money!
I went into the store at park city center and the lady rain smelled so bad, she looked like she just woke up, not only that she was very rude and racist towards people in the store, she makes you rush and won't be nice at all. Horrible service from both of them instead of them talking to each other and being all up on each other they should help people. It's not good to have to people working who are together in the same store! And you can definitely tell them are.
You're just a number with this company, as a customer and an employee. They hire mostly younger inexperienced people for management to keep the wages low and experience limited. The products are from China where you can purchase the products cheaper on other online websites such as Temu. So much disrespect from upper management and a deplorable return policy.
Preorder listing with reviews from "verified purchasers" that all sounded the same (as if it was AI-made), good grammar, but all sounded generic at the same time. And on an item that wouldn't be released by manufacturer for another 0.5 years!
Paid $20 shipping fees. Now have to pay to return an item which costs almost as much as the value of the item! Very poor policy. Will never order from this site again & will tell my acquaintances not to order.
Bought a couple items for $300. They were not good so immediately requested a refund, which they approved, except that they are saying I am responsible to pay the shipping to their warehouse in Brampton, at the same time saying you can't drop it off. Scam. Their stores carry these items, and shipping costs will be very high for this large bulky item. So you can't drop it off at their warehouse or the store, which I will be doing anyway because I refuse to be scammed out of money I should not have to pay if there is a reasonable alternative. If they do not issue me a refund I will be escalating the matter. BEWARE this store because refunds will cost you. Stick to Amazon.
Ordered from their online store. They delivered another product than the one ordered. When I complained they blamed inventory. If I wanted to return the wrong product they sentI had to cover shipping. Absolutely terrible company
We ordered 4 squishmallows and all of the squishmallows were wrong, and the package said something completely random. Unlike Amazon, showcase doesn't let you keep the items and refund, you have to deliver it back to them yourself. They punish you for them getting the order wrong, and all the original squishmallows we ordered were sold out after. Terrible service. We were forced to spend 60$ on stuff we didn't order because of how hard it was to return.
Christmas of 2022 I purchased a hand help massager at Showcase South center Mall along with the 3 year extended warranty, however the machine does not work so I went into the store to get it replaced and was met by a VERY RUDE woman she said that she would not replace the item and that I could do what ever I wanted, after which she pushed the box at my son hitting him in the stomach and then called security to have me removed from the store. When security came and heard my story he apologized and asked me to try a different store to get my item exchanged. This woman needs to be held responsible for her actions. I feel cheated, disrespected, violated and discriminated being a visible minority.
Dang, telescoping fan didn't last a year. They require tracked return of product in order for me to get my warranty replacement. This would cost more than the damn product, let alone the warranty!
I warned I would review, and warn other consumers. Ha, I see why it doesn't bother them, they're already bottom end for reviews. <;~\
I placed an order mid-November, a month later and there is no indication that my order has been shipped. It is simply showing order received. Also, free shipping turns into $9.99 once you place your order. Still waiting and even after emailing them, they have many poor excuses. I would advise you to order elsewhere, if possible.
I purchased a chalkboard online and received a plastic kitchen organizer. No phone number to contact. Filled out a form for online returns and no answer after 3 days. Left a message on Facebook and they replied to email *******@shopatshowcase.com. I am waiting. If I don't hear from them I will submit a complain to better business bureau. If u are running a business you have to stand behind it. Like this it's a scam.
They do not take returns. Not even next day and asking for store credit. They say it's clearance, final sale. But when buying they don't tell you that. To prove it I bought something right after trying to return another item and the same sales clerk waited until the charge card transaction completed. Never shopping there again
I purchased the Quantum Foot & Calf massager in Nov 2016; it was not only a faulty product (heat not working) but bruised my uncle's calves. When trying to return it, I was shocked to find out that I could only get store credit. Some online research revealed that Quantum is ShowCase's own brand, and their return period is 30 days for exchange or store credit only, i. E. no refund. I cannot believe it's still legal nowadays but can see it makes total "sense" to the business as it only carries cheap, low quality products like the one I bought. Allowing returns will only bankrupt Showcase immediately! Stay away!
Answer: Impossible. I ended up calling a store and he was wonderful but unfortunately the product I want is all gone.
