In January of 2025 I returned a product purchased from Brookstone. I attempted to use an online form they provided but it would not accept the order number that I had. I the sent the request to the Brookstone address in New Hampshire that was available online. That address had a note that stated that it 9the address)could be used as a mailing address. I did not hear from them for several weeks so I contacted Customer service who indicated that there was no such address for Brookstone. I informed them that it was and still is online with that address. Several back and forth emails failed to give me a reason why the address in New Hampshire was not valid and the last of these emails again denied my request for a refund. I shall never again shop at this company.
These were $100, and broke within a year. Customer Service said - we are not responsible, the manufacturere is and the business where you bought them. A perfect way to sell a cheap product, charge a lot of money, and never be held accountable. I would not buy from them again.
I have purchased a very cute oil diffuser for my office and it stopped working within days. I contacted the warranty company that was listed on the product user guide, and they replied after a week or so that they do not have this item in stock. It was too late to return it to the store, so I asked for the refund thinking that the new one will break as well. I never heard back from them. Very disappointed with the quality and the way the warranty situation was handled. So, I will advise against purchasing anything made by this company because they do not back up their quality.
False advertisement. Poor customer support. Even though this is due to brookstone negligence, I have to pay the return shipping costs. Still waiting on my remaining refund. Original purchase date of 4/30/21.5-8 business days my@$$.
Purchased a small electronic item at the PDX Hudson news store (wireless connector). The product is fine (never opened) but the company or companies overseeing customer service for the bankrupt Brookstone have been stonewalling on a return now over a month an a half, on a 60 day return policy still applicable. Now they say the item was not returnable in the first place since it falls under their Covid caution rules. This was never mentioned in my first return request when they simply asked for proof of purchase and receipt copies, which ate up 6 weeks of hassle. Buyer beware of Brookstone or Hudson Group which sells their devices in airports. They are not reputable.
I received a $150 gift card. Nice gesture but wish it was for another company. The products on this site are completely overpriced. I finally found something I could spend the gift card on. When I went to check out the delivery fees were 25% of the total charge! I could have ordered something for 50% less on Amazon and had it delivered for free. There is a reason they closed al of their stores. When I asked if the gift card could be returned of course the answer was no. Can you help with excessive delivery charges? No! Nothing worth buying here and certainly not at the prices they have these items listed for. Stay away!
Bought a $5000+ massage chair from this lousy company plus paid hundreds more for the extended warranty only to be told a year and a half later when the chair is having issues, the company filed bankruptcy and my warranty is no longer valid and on top of that it's a store brand chair they didn't have the business knowledge enough to patent their products so you can't even purchase parts what a horrible way to treat customers and from the looks of it this is something this company does often to release themselves from warranties and other financial obligations
Yesterday, I discovered that the two gift cards worth almost $200 are no longer valid. Surprisingly enough and unbeknownst to their customer's, Brookstone filed for Bankruptcy, closed their stores and re-opened approximately two months later but wiped their hands of all outstanding gift cards—what a MESS! Not recommended!
Have a land and sea rover I purchased the grandsons. Seems that Crookstone no longer supports the app so any owners are SOL as the device won't work without it. The "current" Crook-stone owners state via the customer support line …"our developers are working on getting an app"…. Don't hold your breath! Avoid this place and boycott purchasing from them!
I bought a massage seat topper about 4 years ago, only used about 12 times. I took is out the box 1 day and it didn't work, I tried everything. I called customer service, and they said I did not buy it from them. I bought it from Brookstone. Com. I have the email and the shipping order from the box. She then tells me there is nothing they can do because they do not make them, Brookstone is only the licensing company. I would have to call the manufacturer. I said okay give me the number. She said they have over 1,000 manufacturers and could not advise who to call. I said "wow", way to stand behind your product. She said " you're welcome" and hung up. I will never buy another Brookstone product.
I emailed them about an order with a warranty I purchased for a wireless massager that won't charge about a year later. Their reply was some beloni about filing for bankruptcy, and therefore, they can't honor it and they haven't even kept a record of my order. That is not a good excuse, because a lot of companies are sold. This does not justify stealing warranty money. They will not even refund for the warranty itself. Never make the mistake of buying their products.
I bought a $250 Electric Blanket branded as Brookstone. Brookstone went into bankruptcy several years ago and is no longer honoring warranties. London Lux, the manufacturer, has gone out of business. I have a 5-year warranty and no way to get the blanket replaced or fixed. This is very bad business and I will never buy another Brookstone product or shop at their on-line stores. They don't honor their warranties or stand behind what they sell! BUYER BEWARE - Buy from a honest and reputable business!
No way to verify my return or even my gift card balance. Website borders on nonfunctional. Effectively absconded with my $100 gift card. No refund. No recourse! Told me to contact US Postal Service to verify my return. Yeah, right!
Brookstone is the worst company I've ever had dealings with. I bought a Brookstone king size electric blanket towards the end of winter 2023. I didn't use it until it started getting cold fall/winter 2023. Within a month it quit working. No reason for it to stop. I woke up in the middle of the night very cold and saw it was off and wouldn't turn on. I checked the other side and it wouldn't work either. I contacted Brookstone and was told too bad too sad. They wouldn't do anything and told me the warranty company went out of business. Obviously it was some type of defect for the whole blanket to stop working but they didn't care and refused any type of help. I couldn't believe it! Most companies want to keep their customers happy and coming back. Not Brookstone. I paid a good amount of money for this blanket even though it was marked down. So I have a blanket that's worthless to me.
I submitted a request for service for my noise canceling headphones on June 17. I received a reply that a ticket was opened and it would be addressed in the order received. I have not received any further response. I have sent follow up messages asking for a response. I have now sent another message. This is five months since my original request. They must have a huge number of service requests since it has been five months and my original request has still not been addressed.
Zero customer support. I contacted them 2 months ago about a warranty to repair an item that wore out. After 1 month, I asked them again. Still nothing. As expensive as their products are, I expected at least some level of customer care. They offer absolutely nothing.
I purchased a heat massager for legs fir my husband for Christmas. After opening on Christmas he called his Dr to make sure he could use it. His Dr did not recommend he use it because of his HBP. Well, unfortunately the next day we both showed symptoms of Covid and tested positive. My husband was hospitalized I recovered at home. We are just getting around now so I called Brookstone several times to speak to a supervisor. I was told no returns after 30 days. I explained that we were sick, my husband was in hospital they still said no. They told me to contact the vendor, ReAthlete. I did and received the same answer, no returns after 30 days. We are retirees in a fixed inches, and these are unprecedented times ( Covid)
How can burn cinpanies be so unfeeling and cold. I will NEVER buy anything from Brookstone again.
Oh and they get one star only because they will not let me submit with no stars.
Hudson shop at BOS airport sold me Brookstone Double Comfort inflatable neck pillow (*******). I would have been more satisfied with throwing $18.05 in trash can.
1. I have no idea what square part is on pillow. In airports customers throw wasteful hard plastic away to avoid taking up room.
2. Air valves DO NOT auto close. Air will not stay in fully deflated, immediately loses air even when pinching bottom of valve closed.
3. Website to their products does not work well, just annoying ad keeps popping up, search shows dog carrier under neck pillow search plus all other products.
The reason I purchased inflatable pillow type was because the one I've had for years (has auto close valve) was leaking and I dislike wasting valuable luggage space.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND PRODUCT
Had I the luxury of time to google reviews of this company I would not have purchased from company. Seriously, who has tons of spare time, phone battery to research. Going to Amazon to get better product. Thanks Brookstone for wasting pensioner's money.
My order was verified to be sent to someone else. They will not refund my money or send me my product. DESPITE UPS PROOF I DO NOT HAVE IT. It has been a month and nobody can help me. This company is an absolute scam. Please do not order from them.
Bad products. Poor quality. Even worse, zero support. Company might be one of the worst out there. Picture attached is of my $300 unusable eye sore with an extended warranty I couldn't redeem. Never again. Stay away from Brookstone!
