I damage my phone literally yesterday and I immediately submitted a claim I did have to submit my ID for verification purposes which I found that to be very secure I also liked how easy it was to navigate through their online claim system I also damage my screen so bad that I was not able to access the site to see what the status was so I ended up calling and speaking with customer service and again very kind and efficient and courteous and they made sure to let me know that my device was on the way and that it was approved because it does have to go through an approval but after I was informed it was approved I got an email saying edit pretty much what the person told me and from there just waited until today and I received it around 1 o'clock today and it's a brand new iPhone like fresh out of the box it also came with a charger in a new pair of headphones so I really think they did a awesome job and taking Care of you. Idk about some of these other comments but in no way Did I have a negative experience I will give them a 1000 out of 10 for everything so thank you guys for working hard and being there you guys did awesome I also paid $175 for the deductible and the tax was about like $5.30 so it wasn't super bad I just wanted to say I paid like total maybe$ 180 something's

0 star. They don't know the value of customers and their time. Every time, I call them, they just ask me to wait for 2 to 3 business days from recent 20 days. After all, they denied my claim request by giving the reason that you haven't use the service, the day from I brought sim and device, which is totally wrong. I used every single service included in my plan but they just giving me very cheap and not valid reason. Overall, they are fraud and useless.

BrightStar are lying cheating scammers with abnoxious horrible customer service now they change there name to likewise but when you make payment the truth comes out because the payment goes to BRIGHTSTAR.
They are scumbags. Cheated me badly.

I made a mistake when I ordered my phone screen repair. I didn't realize that the back glass was also broken, the technician told me he wasn't able to fix it and I had to call to reschedule. Each time I've called, the person tells me they have to do an escalation and it takes 2 days- call back in 2 days to move forward. I have had to call back 4 times after the person I talk to creates an escalation. I am so frustrated with this process, it makes no sense and is absolutely not helpful.

I was sent a phone that was reported stolen as a replacement. The phone locked out and brightstar did not have adequate inventory to replace the phone. Was not offered upgrade or payout. Employees were unprofessional and rude. I was hung up on numerous times by senior staff. One manager was exceptionally chastising. Once it was all sorted out after over 30 days with no phone the wrong phone was shipped. I would give them less than 1 star if possible. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT USE. Services like this should not be able to continue business.

According to them, your money and time is useless. I call them one week ago to get approval and I got nothing and after one week, I did a call again they said approved but nothing confirmation and again next day they transfer my call to 10 employees and all are lying and playing. They gave me worst time and they use my money from 1 year for zero service.

I would have rather lived with a cracked screen than give this company my money. They sent me the wrong model of the phone I purchased and claimed it was not guaranteed to receive the exact same phone. I emailed them twice with no response. I had to call them and they refused to correct the situation. Im paying for a service that tries to scam their customers using the "fine print". Do yourself a favour and find another protection company.

I Paid $7 a month for phone insurance after paying for a couple of years. I got a crack in my screen all I wanted was my screen fixed. I called them and they told me they would just send me a coupon for a new phone. They sent me a $407 coupon for a $1200 phone charged me $175 for co pay so I paid 956 at my Boost Mobile store plus $175 then they charged my bank account for $217 because they wanted the phone back witch they didn't tell me about so all they did was force me to buy a new phone that I didn't want.

My phone broke after sending in my broken phone to get repaired I waiting 6 days to get a replacement phone. Once my replacement phone got into my hands not only did the microphone not work but found out through apple that the phone I have is from the states and it's a used refrebished phone. Bright star is the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. Now I'm stuck with a iPhone 12 that doesn't work. Every time I call they tell me to call back in a few days. People do not use bright star for insurance use apple care instead trust me bright star is a scam

Use apple care insurance do not use bright star they use parts to fix phones that are not apple products apple voids all warranty on phones touched by bright star

For 4 years, this $#*! service took money from my account. They did not notify me that they had changed their company name nor provided any contact information for the new one! Trying to put a stop payment on my bank account was next to impossible, and other is still no way to contact them to cancel the policies. Stay clear of these rip-off artists! If anyone offers protection when you buy your phone, say no and seek them out yourself from a trusted, reputable source! Lesson learned, but $3000 later, I am livid I had to resort to reporting fraud to get their withdrawals to stop.

Just be honest and help people avoid being ripped off!

I called in about 2 phones needing to be replaced over six months ago. I honestly didn't have the money to replace them at the time. It was never explained to me that there was a time limit. So now it's too late to get them replaced. I consider this negligence to the consumer. That is why I'm giving them a 1 star rating.

Ask when you have to actual get the claim filed.

My strong advice is that stay miles away from this company. Most unsupportive staff, always technical issues with their system (that's what they say every time you call), no immediate support from the corporate team but only fake promises that the issue will be resolved in 24 hours but takes days if not weeks. It's shame that some of the reputed telecommunication companies use this garbage company for their customer's protection.

I've spent over 3 weeks with no phone, being bounced around between Fido, Apple and Likewise (Brightstar). Paying for this service has proven to be an absolute waste of money and I would never recommend this protection to anyone.

September 20,2021My purse with my phone in it was stolen. Had it 20 days. My very First Iphone. Iphone 12 Pro. Phoned Brightstar to get a replacement. Was told I could go to a retailer. Wrong.
Called back I had to pay a deductible of $428. Paid September 22.
Was told 3-5 days to ship.
Follow up "Its Back Ordered ". This is the response still today October 4,2021. *******955 someone answer's quick enough to only put you on hold and then it is Long waiting.
Only to still be told it is on "Back Order"
Don't waste your money"

Do as promised. Extremely disappointed

Trust me do not waste your money on this company, they make it impossible at times to get what you been paying them for.
First off they would tell you what documents to send and then turn around and refuse it all together.
Would not reply to any emails regarding your claim.
And the BS goes on and on

I'm taking time to write this to warn others. I made a claim with this company for my Samsung Flip through Boost Mobile. A few days after the claim I received a voucher in the amount of $1128. 74 after paying a $188.18 deductible based on my type of phone. The voucher only allowed me to go use it at a Boost Store. Okay we all know Boost stores do not carry a Samsung Flip or basically any high end phone. But, I went to 4 just for the sake of argument and was told we don't carry that type of phone in the store. I called every store in Jacksonville, FL and only found 2 that even carried an I-phone 12 or higher. I also asked if they would order the phone for me and was told "no." So at that point, I called Likewize and requested another method of getting my phone replaced as I insured my Samsung flip and that is the type of phone I wanted back as well I paid my deductible based on my phone type. So basically talking to the supervisor Andrea I was told "I don't know what to tell you but you will have to get what the store has." I of course needed a phone and I got the i-phone. I am not a i-phone user and I just prefer my Samsung. Anyway, I filed a complaint with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and then all of a sudden they could supply me with a visa card to purchase my phone with but only if I had not used the voucher. They knew I had already used the voucher as this was a month after the claim was filed. Then they had a nerve to recently send me an email indicating they are going to charge my credit card for $200 because I didn't return my old phone that they did not replace. I will file a complaint with my credit card company as I did not authorize that charge and I feel they breached their contractual obligation by not replacing my phone and basically making me get a phone I did not want and charging me a deductible based on the phone I insured. This company is providing beyond poor service. It deserves a zero.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. When you have an issue its almost impossible to have resolved. Spoken to 15 people and still counting, my issue is still not resolved. Save yourself the money and head ache. Do not take the protection plan.

TMy $350 phone broke so I filed a replacement claim. I had been paying $7 per month for SEVERAL years, absolutely paid far more than this first claim ever. I had to pay a $50 deductible, which I paid with my debit card. I never got to speak with a representative at all. The replacement arrived, so now I've paid $50 bucks toward a $350 phone and some $2500 in monthly cost. There was nothing in the box except the phone and a plug in. Nothing for a return of my broken phone, and nothing saying I was required to send it to them. I've since lost the old phone, or at least haven't found it, and a couple days ago I received an email, the first one to my knowledge telling me that since I had not sent them my old broken phone, they had taken $80 from my bank account. Now the only way for them to have my bank info. Is when I paid the deductible, and I have never given any authority to any party to take liberties with my bank account without my consent. So now I have paid $130 for a $350 dollar phone, and $2500 in premiums never claimed on. I contacted these folks and was told I was required to send them my phone, upon asking why I received this answer. "because that's our policy" when I asked what made them think they had a right to take money from my bank account, I was told I had been informed. I did not speak to anyone and had no idea until they reached into MY BANK ACCOUNT without permission. I say to all of you. Put your 7 dollars in a coffee can and shove it under your bed. You'll be able to fix it replace your phone a few times, and go on vacation. This seems wrong to me.

I work for Boost Mobile and I never ask anybody to get the insurance thru these criminals. If you have an iPhone you'd be smart to put an Apple Care plan on it instead. They have taken multiple weeks to send phones that are suppose to be overnight delivered to your door. They ask for utility bills and insurance proofs they have no business asking for, to validate your claim after taking your money for years without incident. They will send you a phone that is not anywhere near same kind and quality. This is exactly the type of place you hear nightmare insurance stories about.

Wasn't aware that I would have to go thru so much hassle for something I was paying to be covered at all times without any hassle! Claim was tossed around here and there from reps to supervisors to god knows who. Even though everything was provided in timely manner and kept checking if I needed to provide anything else and still kept having hard time. And of course when I get the device it was unlocked where as my original device was unlocked! Upon asking they simply said I am not eligible until a year to have it unlocked! What kind of stupidly and trash service is this!

Honestly, you are better of putting the money aside for any damages vs getting this insurance protection plan. They purposely make it diffcult to process for a reason. True money scam business with no care for customer service. Period. You can go ahead and experience it yourself,

If I can rate ZERO, I would. They charged me 2 months for an account that was already closed. They give you the run around for refund until you give up asking for the money back. This is a million dollar company who can't be bothered to return $33 that is rightfully mine. I have called for a refund since August and I know I should have already given up because it's a small amount but it's the principle of protecting and standing up as a consumer. If your cell phone provider offers this company to cover cell phone damages - DO NOT ACCEPT! You're better off researching others.
