$753 red Brembo caliper for a CTS_V Cadillac.
Bought in November 2024. Three months later in February 2025
The paint started falling off. While washing the car in March
The paint was coming off while squirting it with a hose. The Brembo letters were rub on letters. EXACT FONT.
It's working but I wonder how old the cups are inside!?
QR code on the outside of the box scans as John Doe. *******212
Had a Brembo sticker on the box. Beware of this company.
Scammers. I ordered some "powdercoated" calipers and rotors from them. Paint started chipping off immediately. Rotors were clearly sprayed with a rattle can and seized the brakes when the paint melted under the pads. AVOID!
Do not buy anything from these con artists! They are slick talking salesmen. The parts are terrible quality!' Spent 500$ on rotors and pads just to have them squeaking no less than a week later! Unbelievable
I purchased brake calibers for Dodge challenger scat pack. Caliper on driver side was leaking brake Fluid. Dodge encouraged me to send back to manufactures, and get replacement part. They sent the same leaking caliber, and refused refund, and failed to reconcile. Quality is poor!
Ordered Brembo rotors and received a different brand. Internal Quality Control is definitely bad. Text for follow up with orders is fast but when there is an issue, forget about it. You are lucky if you get a response. Expecting to talk to a customer service rep? You must be dreaming if you expect to talk to one. AVOID this company at all cost.
Fake Car Quest brake rotors being sold as Disc Italia. Even tried sending another set which were hand painted. I should read other reviews first! Lost $1000 (purchase price + return shipping for $350). Empty promises from John Montgomery. Save yourself the stress.
I bought from and rear rotors and pads spent over 900 on them sales guy recommended discitalia pads saying they was low brakes dust etc, that was far from the truth very much a lot brake dust I called complaining and send pics they said they will call me once they talk to mfg of pads still 2 weeks later have not had a call. They are bad for your pockets stay away
Ordered a "Brembo" Caliper from them and it isn't real.
The Part numbers do not match up.
The paint is chipping off as I take is out of the box.
The "BREMBO" lettering on the caliper are stickers.
The pistons are far different from the actual Brembo caliper.
There are supposed to be two bleeder valves but the one they gave me only has one.
The picture they show is different from what I received.
Lastly, real Brembos come with "Brembo" engraved on the inside of the caliper.
I purchased a pair of blue brembo calipers for my Dodge Challenger because I couldn't get them in bllue from my dealer. They look great and were way cheaper than buying from the stealership! Thank a million guys.
I was going to get pads from my stealership, but at the recommendation from a friend I bought 2 sets of hyperceramic pads for my range rover. Wow no more dust, no more squealing! Best pads I have ever used. Great recommendation from my friend. Will be doing more business soon.
I have been buying from brakeworld for years. The have good quality brake parts and the guys who work there actually know what they are talking about unlike other places where you can here 100 reps in a phone bank who don't have a clue what they are selling. I accidentally ordered the wrong part for my subaru wrx, they exchanged it and sent out the new part without making me pay again! This helped as I was kinda running low on $ at the time. You guys Rock!
After going to another brake website that shipped my order wrong 2 x's i finally went to brakeworld.com then new exactly what the issue was and what parts i needed. Got them in 3 days!
Purchased painted rotors (slotted/cross-drilled) and carbon pads. Most problems came from lack of communication - After 3 days of waiting I was told via email that pads/rotors have been "dispatched" from Texas. What I was not told they were going to Brakeworld first, and only THEN they were going to my house. Total time - 10 days. When arrived, both pads and rotors were the correct size and type. However, only a small sticker on one of the boxes stated the paint/coating needs to be removed (sanded off) from the surfaces to be in contact with the pads. My son installed them as they were. Luckily, I found out on a different site these have to be sanded off (that took 30 minutes per rotor). Plus had to sand down the pads now coated with paint. HOWEVER, I believe the parts were as advertised, the right type, and arrived in a reasonable time. My emailed questions were answered within 12-24 hours and with courtesy. I think most of the negative comments have to do with the fact buyers did not understand what they were buying and that the paint had to be removed from rotors before installation. On the other hand, I believe the Brakeworld should make it clearer on their website what needed to be done. Overall, other than lack of directions, it was a positive experience.
I purchased parts for my truck and received them 3 days later. I have been buying rotors and pads from brakeworld for almost 8 years and have never had an experience like what some of these people are describing. Their stuff is top notch.
Their customer service is HORRIBLE. First we were accused of lying about the defective calipers they sent or that we were incompetent in installing them (which was done at a well-respected auto repair shop-over 50 years in service. Then said to email them and they never responded after SEVERAL attempts. As I pointed out to them- I guess they need the $1400 more than a social worker and gas station attendant do during COVID- despite the fact that they bragged about their products never being defective. Funny, that's not what MANY reviews say that I have read since you ripped us off... Your customer service and your products suck to be frank.
They finished their job before the committed time and everything was perfect and as per the promise. No weird things or hidden costs at all. Comparatively, their prices are less. The quality and speed of service is worth an applause.
I saw a review of some brake calipers online. After calling the company i ordered some for my camaro. Beautiful calipers! I am the only one i know who has a camaro SS w/ blue brembo calipers. I have receieved many compliments.
I paid over $500 for the best quality pads and rotors Brakeworld offered recently. I took my 2013 F150 into a mechanic I've been using for years and have always been happy with. I just went on vacation and my brakes were grinding. I took it into a dealership and the mechanic pointed out all the pads were the same... No inner and outer pads. Therefore it created so much friction on the rotors they warped and were ruined. The mechanic said if he were given these pads packaged from Brakeworld he would have installed them too, assuming it should be right since that's how it was packaged. I contacted BW asking for any help considering at this point I'm out around $1100. 00. They only offered a discount on a future purchase. Brakeworld is a company that doesn't take care of their customers and won't make it right for problems they create. I'll never do business with them again.
I purchased some rotors fro brakeworld on oct 23 the arrived 3 days later. Quick shipping! Unfortunately I had ordered the wrong ones for my jeep by mistake. I emailed them and they had a new pair to me just a few days later, and accepted my other ones back.
Thanks for the easy exchange guys! I'll be back soon.
http://www.brakeworld.com is horrible. I purchased breaks and break lines from them. The break lines did not fit, so I mailed them back as instructed. After more than one year and many calls, John, would not call me back, or give me a refund. Brakeworld's customer service is only handled by John, I could not speak to anyone else. I called the South Carolina Attorney General's office, they were very helpful, but John at brakeworld would not call them either. John is awful, worst customer service I ever had, no response or refund. If you need to call the Attorney General about Brakeworld, the telephone number to John Smith the AG Compliant Analyst is *******224. The investigators office is *******236
Answer: They responded to 3 of my emails within 12 -24 hours. I had no complaints, but needed information about shipping. It was a bit deceitful, but nothing major (got parts within 10 days instead 5 as I expected).
Answer: Legit, but need to know what you are ordering and what you are getting. For instance, they do not inform that with coated rotors you have to remove coating from the areas in contact with brake pads. Seems obvious, but I know of people who installed these rotors as received, after which they caught on fire. There is no explanation about it on the site (there is a warning label on a box, but you have to know it is there). So, better ask them as many questions as you can before purchasing.
BrakeWorld has a rating of 2 stars from 50 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with BrakeWorld most frequently mention and customer service. BrakeWorld ranks 268th among Auto Parts sites.
