I bought a book advertised "as new", however, when it arrived, it was clearly damaged, dented, and with a scratch on the first page. I was able to return it, but the process was painfully slow and terrible. BooksRun replied to my email weeks later, when it would have been almost too late to return the book. AbeBooks, the website I used for this, replied to my emails, but the whole process took at least three weeks and a lot of my time. Communication was sloppy, and overall I will not use either again, and I don't recommend it.

My mother's experience with Booksrun has been horrible. She was sent a book in a format she can't use (and didn't ask for), paid to return the book and when USPS lost it, was charged to replace the book itself. Her attempts to talk to someone (a real person) was unavailing, and the only correspondence we received about the issue made clear Booksrun knew the issue lay with USPS (and USPS online system for attempting to locate the package doesn't work - already checked with our local post office). Then, when I posted a review about that experience on Trustpilot - explaining the circumstances, expressing my unhappiness - what was the result? Did Booksrun contact my mother to try to resolve the issue? No - the company tried to have the review taken down, claiming it didn't reflect a "real customer experience." Sorry, Booksrun - check rental order ******* and issue number 71-*******. Why not try to resolve this issue with her directly and in a considerate way? Suppressing a review? Doesn't seem like a very customer-friendly way to behave.
