I sent them several books to sell and got a reasonable quote. However, they adjusted the price of one of the books because it was in "Acceptable condition". I accepted the quote but there were two other books that just show as 0 quantity and Booksrun is not paying me for those books. I am absolutely certain that I sent these books in. I sent an email to them and received no response. Avoid using this company, they will scam you.

I was worried seeing all the negative reviews after I mailed my books for buyback, but I had a good experience with Booksrun. They offered me the best prices for my textbooks and took more of my books than other sites. My order was also processed very quickly after it was delivered, within 2 days, and it would have been 1 day if they didn't need to check one of my books for authenticity. I chose PayPal for my payment and the money was in my account 1 day after processing which I was happy about since I was told 2-4 business days. Customer service was responsive both over email and phone when I called them to ask about my order. Be warned that the price does change based on the condition of your book (like new, good, or acceptable) and they may change the price if they find any damage. They took 2 dollars off of one of my books because of this but I think it was a fair judgment. They do take counterfeit books seriously, they put my order on hold for a day to check if one of my books was counterfeit because apparently many copies are, but they found it was authentic. Make sure to take off all stickers, check your books for signs they may be counterfeit, and follow their packing instructions. Overall I am happy with my experience.

They will give you an extremely competitive quote, take random pictures of the books you send in, then cut your quote down to nothing. You can either accept their quote or pay $10 per book to get them sent back. Complete scam never use.

Do not do business with this company, they refuse to own up to their mistakes and make it right and now I am out $32. I sold a textbook to this company, and everything was going smoothly until I tried to deposit the check that they sent me. The check bounced because their account through Capital One showed as closed. I was charged a fee through my bank for trying to deposit a check that bounced. I reached out to someone in customer service, and they sent me the amount of the check through PayPal but refused to reimburse me for the check bouncing fee. Instead, they blamed my bank, saying that the check was valid and somehow my bank scanned it in wrong. I have gone back to the bank multiple times and had three different people (including a supervisor) verify that the check was scanned in correctly and it is showing that the account is closed. It could be that BookRun's bank erroneously rejected the check, however that means the BooksRun need to reimburse me for the check fee and demand that their bank reimburse them. I should not have to pay for BooksRun's negligence, and yet here I am stuck with the fee for trying to deposit their bad check. I have been back and forth with their customer service for months, but they refuse to reimburse me the fee stating that "we did not charge you the fee so we are not authorized to reimburse you" and that I should "look at it from their perspective." I have provided them proof of the fee associated with the bad check as well as the check itself showing the reason it bounced since the beginning, so there is no perspective that they can take where they are not in the wrong. It is illegal to write someone a bad check, and yet this company believes that they can get away with it. At this point, I am having to investigate other legal options to get my money back and hold this business accountable for their actions since they refuse to own up to their mistakes. Stay far away from this company so you don't end up like me!

Do NOT sell your books via this website. I sent them a pristine textbook which I barely used and they told me they couldn't buy it because I forgot to take the sticker off the ISBN. I paid $9 for them to ship it back to me so I could take the sticker off and attempt to resell. I found another website willing to buy the book for $48. However, when I received the textbook back, it was completely damaged. The binding came off all the way. I contacted customer service and have received zero response. Absolutely horrible.
