“Write books for Bookrix”

Todd H.
10/29/16

As this free self-publishing site distributes your book to multiple online retailers for free once they quickly accept your submission that has at least 2000 words, you will have a big assist in your marketing efforts. Also, you may consistently get sales here and there, especially if you write enough books and create strong titles. Once you accumulate 10 dollars in your account, you will quickly get paid through PayPal. The approval process usually just takes a few days for your book to officially hit the market. The main drawback is you generate just a third in revenue of what you charge for your books; otherwise, they would be just short of perfection.

“Poor communication, customer service, and overall terrible experience”

They twice deleted my account because my regular postings sharing links to my e-book on their site apparently activated their "spam filters". Yeah, that makes sense. But what is much worse is that they never notified me of this or why my account was suddenly gone and I couldn't log in. They never sent an email. I simply had to contact them directly, confused after the fact that I could suddenly not log in. Their first response when I contacted them also clarified none of this eventual truth I found out. They simply said there was no account linked to that email and did not respond to any of my follow-up questions. So now very confused and annoyed, I went to all the effort of re-creating my account since they insisted I'd never signed up in the first place. Then they deleted it. Again. And after I demanded answers, they finally explained the supposed spam filter thing. To summarize, they are the worst book site I have ever used, a complete waste of time, and I recommend that no one use them.

Products used:
I used it with the intent to sell e-books. I did not get around to purchasing other's e-books.

BookRix is the DUMB-ist site I've ever been to. You change your age the way they SAY to, and the site STILL "imagines" that you're under 18. Those of Bookrix may be hypocrites. They want a "rating", but then tell Me to "stay-away" because I gave them a rating they richly deserved. If you don't KNOW I'm 71, WHY even ASK? You WRONGLY say I'm under-18. I put my DOB down. There's NO WAY I could have been born in the last century, and be "under-18!"

I tried to sign in to see what happened to the books I had on sale as I never received any compensation. When I signed on it stated that the site was not secure and that hackers might be trying to steal my information. It seems that they have already done so. What happened to Bookrix and how can i remove my books on sale? Someone is profiting but just not me.

I published an eBook in BookRix.com.
Then they say:
"On the image you sent us there are two swastikas to be seen clearly. They
have to be removed in order to get the book published. "
I insist that "But about the swastika symbol? This is NOT a swastika:
this is a NUMBER on an ancient door; part of a quest."
I asked them what if publish a book related to Buddhism, with similar simbol?
Well... they insist that IS swastika, so I tryed to "stop the book from sales" ('couse of ''swastika the book is NOT on sale), but I must wait some period of time. I tryed to delete my account but: ''You have book on sale''.
So, are these guys insane?!?

This is another Wattpad, created in order to try to legitamized fan-fict and aspiring writers.
Where this site suceeds where wattpad fails is that it offers publishing (typical epub stuff that anyone with a computer and 30 mins can do on their own and save themselves the fees) and will whore your work for you to, you guessed it, bookrix.com people.
The site isn't laid out that great when it comes to interacting with fans or others. Honestly, it sucks for that. BUT the way that you can read is SO much nicer than the rest of the sites out there( it's a flash based application that loads like an actual book and you flip through the pages), and that application keeps people from stealing your work.
The admins/people in charge, are shady and talk a lot of smack to people they shouldn't (industry insiders) and it has caused those that were trying to use bookrix as a platform to go traditionally published to get blacklisted.

It's a cut throat industry.

Overall, when it comes to aspiring writers site to post their work, this one is by far one of the better ones if you arne't looking to network.

I've been a user on BookRix.com for almost a year and a half now, and boy, have I loved watching it grow up! Contrary to the first review here, I find that there are many people who have beautiful works of prose on the site. They are the gems. Of course there's a bunch of FanFics and the like, but that's because BookRix isn't just there to help you get published... it's there to help you GROW as a writer. Many users, such as prandall, L. Avery Brown, Sabrina J. Howard, felixthecat, lazarus67, judycolella, and many, many more, are very serious about their writing, and they weave beautiful stories. Publishing a story is very easy, and rest assured; FanFics are not permitted to be sold, and every book that goes through the process of receiving proceeds is reviewed for a quality check before it is deemed fit to sell. Membership is FREE! What puts BookRix above all other writing sites I've been on is the formatting. It's easy, it's fast, and the finished result of every book is like a digital book! Instead of reading a wall of text, you get pages and lovely covers. The community is supportive and very pleasant, many books are top quality, and, wait for it... one of the users, writingmum (Wendy Reakes) was just picked up by a publishing house a few months ago! You are not wasting your time.
