I recently had a disappointing experience with [BookingOnline. When I made my reservation, I was assured that I would have a specific style of room that I was really looking forward to. However, upon arrival at the hotel, I was informed that the room I had selected was not available.
To make matters worse, I was given a different room that was of a lower quality and significantly cheaper, yet I was still charged the higher price I had initially agreed upon through the booking service. This felt misleading and unfair.
I expected better communication and transparency, especially when it comes to something as important as my accommodation. I would advise others to be cautious when using this service, as my experience did not meet the standards
I booked a bed for my niece in an all female 8 bed hostel room and cancellation insurance for a 15 day stay at samesun hostel in Banff ( April 17-30. It was the last bed available in a female room. I was told by Humberto that my niece would be able to cancel her stay once she was there should she need to leave but I needed to purchase cancellation insurance. Firstly-I was never sent ( emailed) a confirmation of the accommodation booking- only a confirmation of the cancellation insurance. Second- when I read the cancellation insurance document it became pretty clear to me that a doctors note or some kind of documentation was needed to cancel the reservation… but I figured she could negotiate leaving early at the hostel and they would receptive. Thirdly-when she arrived, she was booked into a bed in a 12 bed co-ed room not a bed in a female room as promised and on top of that, she was told the hostel would not refund any money when she shortened her stay by 10 days as the booking was fine through a third party. Not impressed. To be clear/ the hostel was fine but the booking experience was dishonest. I thought I was talking to someone at the hostel- but clearly I was talking to an off site agent who made commissions on his sales and would tell me whatever I wanted to hear.

Answer: I was just too tired to drive 90 minutes home. I needed to be back to this area really early in the morning, so I saved 3 hours of driving time and got a good night's sleep also!
