Order did not arrive after 2 months and customer service just replied it's been dispatched.
No tracking number, no delivery vendor provided to track. Ridiculous company! Stay away and don't order from them, it's not worth it
After waiting the 10 days for the order to arrive I accessed their 'anything but' order information Then I noticed that the entire order had been canceled without a word to me. When I wrote a rude response they gave me some B S about not satisfying their routine credit security check. I think that is a little strange since I used the same credit card and mailing address for a similar order last year. I don't think it gets any deeper than that. This is worthless company who does not deserve your business. Don't go here.
Has purchased two book from them. Without any reason they sent only one although the second one was on stock as well. Back in the country I currently reside postal services are not able to deliver without the contact number being mentioned, which I specifically asked them to do. On the request the couldn't provide the tracking number as well as they simply didn't have it as they tried to explain which sounded bizarre. Anyway it's been more than a month since the item was sent and I don't know where is it, which postal service handles it and nobody has contacted me, obviously. Absolutely horrible.
The prices are reasonable, the delivery is free, the books tend to arrive in less than a month in perfect condition. The only downside is inability to track your order, but if you're a patient person, it's not a big issue.
I placed an order in early November for the Demon Slayer series for my child. Promised to ship by 12/9. Excited that we would have the books by Christmas. Didn't get them by Christmas. I constantly contacted customer service and they would tell me to check delivery times on the website, and nothing more. The delivery times said 5-10 business days for my area, but never mentioned when they would receive stock, didn't say why orders haven't been shipped, nothing. Didn't say what was going on. They eventually canceled my order on 3/3, gave me my money back, and relisted the series at a higher dollar amount. GFYS. What a $#*! business model.
We ordered two books, the package arrived with only one book, when I reached out, they said the package had arrived and would not help further, I responded twice, clarifying an item was missing, and they sent me the same response. The book we did receive came damaged because they put it into a to small package.
I ordered a book for my husband's birthday. I placed an order at the beginning of January 2020 to make sure it arrives by half-February. After a month no package arrived, which was much longer than estimated delivery time. I contacted the customer service, they had no option at all to keep track of my package, they asked if the adress was correct (I confirmed it was) and that was all I heard... When I insisted and escalated, they put me through to a supervisor who offered a re-shipment. I made it clear it only is of interest to me if the parcel will be tracked, and if not - I request a refund. Still, they claimed to have shipped a second copy after that! Utterly nervous about ending up without a birthday gift, I made one more complaint, finally received my refund and did my shopping elsewhere.
„Fun fact" - none of those two books ever arrived, and it's been a full calendar year since my order.
Never again.

I recently ordered a book which was available on the site, I paid and got the confirmation email.
"your order will be dispatched from our warehouse soon" so I kept checking the order status. It was under processing for more than a week when I finally messaged customer service for further information.
They said sorry but it's out of stock (it wasn't when I ordered) and their supplier failed to deliver, even though it is still marked as available on the website.
They said well yes, they got it from another supplier but I would need to re-order and pay again.
Then they said my order got cancelled a few days ago but I didn't receive any notifications about it. I had to message to find out I can wait forever.
Extremely disappointing.
I've made three orders with Book Depository in recent months. The first order arrived in reasonable time. The second and third ones never came. The customer service said they would have to wait for the return of the undelivered packages (5-10 weeks) before resend the books to me.
Book Depository has an effective way of creating disgruntled customers.
No contact, waiting for my books for almost a month now with no feedback on them whatsoever. I contacted them by mail, facebook and their build-in contact form on their site and got no replies (beside that one assuring me that they never forgot about me and are going to contact me soon which they sent 5 or 6 days ago. Non-existent costumer service. Once you pay for the books you're on your own, babe.
I ordered my books just before Christmas 2021. Currently mid Jan 2022 and no sight of my books but money very well gone! I got in touch with customer service and as previous reviews mentioned, they asked me to wait till some other day and check my "local post office, neighbours..." When I got in touch again with them, I got the same response. I said to please read the trail of emails and either reimburse me the money or resend me the order. I got no response.
Next time Amazon...
On Nov 29th I purchased a much sought after box set from The Book Depository. It was a gift for my daughter for Christmas. They did make me fully aware that it would not arrive in time for Christmas and I was okay with that. I gave her a photo of the box set with a "coming soon" written on it and she was anxiously awaiting it's arrival since. Unfortunately I received an email out of the blue on Jan 27th (2 months after placing the order) that they would now not be able to fulfill my order an would be getting a refund. Now I have a very disappointed kid who was looking forward to getting her gift. If you don't have the inventory, don't sell it and gets peoples hopes up. I will never be ordering from them again.
I ordered for almost 100 euros scholar books that I never received after 2 months. My son has to follow the courses without any support until we receive the new order done to Amazon! First, they proposed to refund but the next day, they informed me that the refund is not possible!

Customer support has agents that do not care about solving the problem at all! And if you buy online, this is the least a company has to provide. For a company to hire such terrible customer support is usually a problem with the owners and how the business is run. They put people in place that prevent actual communication and valuable help to clients! Book Depository only cares about one thing: getting our money and providing terrible support in case anything happens! This is the worst company I ever worked with!
Each customer support agent I talked to kept sending me the same message over and over, not even reading my questions or providing any help! They have a massive lack of value in their business! They don't even have the information they can't provide B2B invoices, only B2C during the purchase process and they do not take responsibility with those clients that had problems due to poor communication on their website!
My order was delayed in arriving, I contacted the customer support and they very quick to get back to me and were very very helpful!
We ended up agreeing in doing a refund as all deliveries have been delayed during these difficult days and the refund was completed and confirmed within the same day!

I placed a pre-order on the website a week before the item was due to be published. Two months later from the publication date and I have still not received my order.
When I contacted them a month after it was supposed to be delivered, they informed me that they were awaiting stock before they could fulfil my order.
It's frustrating as a customer to place a pre-order for an item and have the company inform you that they oversold their stock. There was no prior information when I was purchasing my items, warning me that there was a possibility that they could be sent at a later date.
If you don't have the product, then do not sell it.
A pre-order suggests that you will receive the product when it is released and gives you a guarantee that you will get the product before it hits the shelves of other stores.
I have wasted my time and money and should have gone through a different company.
Read through everyones reviews before purchasing. If your lucky you will get your book. Any issues and your toast. Good luck talking with automated customer responders. Pathetic customer service. Avoid
Waiting for this book for such along time. Finally it arrived last week. To be honest, the book is life changing and my life is changing day by day. I started to love myself even more. I'm appreacting and being grateful for my life. Few months ago I was having depression and anxiety. Because I think alot. But after reading this book about law of vibration. What we think, we attract. All this while I was thinking so negatively and I faced alot of problems. But for the past few days I could see changes in me. I felt better about myself. If you wanna change your life. Go and get this book. Truly inspiring and I swear you will never regret it at all.
After reading some mixed reviews about Book Depository, including some people's seemingly terrible experiences, I was really hesitant to risk buying through them. Nevertheless, the price was so much cheaper, I figured I may as well give it a shot. I ordered on July 4th, late afternoon. The order was shipped on July 6th and arrived in my letter box on July 12th. I was really surprised and impressed. The packaging was simple (a bubble wrap satchel) but the book was in perfect condition. I'm really impressed and hope future experiences are this good!
There is no option for package tracking. Had to wait a month for my delivery to not arrive and to get a refund. They say they answer your costumer service question in 24 hours but that's not true. I had to wait more than 40 hours for them to reply to my request. Just buy stuff from Amazon, it isn't more expensive but you get package tracking and you are more likely to get a package delivered at all.
Answer: Honestly, no idea, seems like their staff are very untrustworthy I had problems with them before I even ordered something, because they would keep changing what they told me about stock on a book, I wouldnt trust these liars with valuable information like your personal card (have ordered it in the end, but never arrived, they lied about the stock apparently and its gonna be a much longer wait, regretting buying it from here)
