I am extremely frustrated with trying to set up a simple WP blog. I do not understand how WP and Bluehost interface and find myself working on both platforms and getting almost nowhere.
I can't figure out how to find pages, how to change them once I chose a template, and how to get my blog up and running. It is very frustrating and I am fairly computer literate.
I am having an issue to migrate from wordpress.com to bluehost. I have contacted to bluehost support twice and no help. I am very frustrated and so sad that I got bluehost.
This is very confusing. I don't know how to check my email. I didn't select my username but now I can't change it. I can't connect my site to wordpress. Nothing is really going right so far.
Dns problem. Blocked from a desktop. No access to email. Cloudflare issue.
I used professional services to help migrate my website. There is a piece missing, and yesterday, I tried for over an hour to get someone to help resolve it to no avail. Only being able to use chat and not having someone I can contact directly during migration is a terrible experience.
I am trying again this morning to get this done and no one seems to want to help.
Many thanks to Kristian! Great job getting us going.
Nothing is loading, and every time i try to login, it say invalid credentials. Then when and if I finally get logged in, it wont let me do anything. I cant customize anything.
Steep learning curve. Would be nice to have better entry tutorials on where to find things/how to use the platform
I am new to trying to set up my own website. It has been incredibly frustrating trying to connect the domain name to bluehost. I feel like I spent $100 for nothing.
:) :) :) :) :)
Wordpress keeps asking me to log in but will not accept my username or password. Then i followed your links to customize the theme. I did that. Yet my home page does not look anything like what I designed. Your chat support was no help.
Somehow, while checking available domain names, I typed my desired domain name to check the availability and my screen displayed that it was available. I chose the continue button, was then transferred to the account, package and payment screen. After filling out this page, I clicked submit, then clicked create account on the next page. On the next page is when I noticed the mistake in the domain name. The name I checked availability on and chose was not the name displayed in the username field. Of course I couldn't change the username so I chose my password and hoped there was a way to fix it inside of Bluehost. I looked around and eventually decided to start a chat with Prajwal. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. The original domain name I desired was apparently occupied. I had another option, Prajwal secured it for me and I will be calling back when I get off work to change the primary domain name. The experiences that I have had with website customer service departments has not been the best but this time was definitely different. I appreciate Prajwal and his help!
Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
