Bluehost has been extremely difficult to use. Once every month or so I am forced to reset my password without any warning. Which usually forces me to have to chat with someone. When I'm done using the chat to be helped, the chat remains open (even though I close it out) every time I come to the website, resulting in a very loud "ding" sound.
Bluehost have a awesome customer support even if any case take long time. They will give you a temporary solution to continue your business until the whole issue resolved. You just need to keep them posted on your current situation.
I renewed everything for the site and yet my layout is now changed and missing images etc since the renewal. So essentially I paid and then come to find out that my site now looks awful. And when I called support the only thing they told me is I have to set up a meeting with the Design TEAM. I have done this before and there was no trouble shoot offered, the only thing I was offered was to pay a few grand or more to work with the design team. That is complete manipulation and a total waste of my money, so much so I'm about to transfer everything to a new site host. Way to provide awful customer care for long term customers!
I have been having problems for almost two months. I have felt with numerous people who left the call with the expectation set that the problems would be fixed and they are not fixed. Between me and my staff over 40 hours of time has been spent and there is still problems and a lack of confidence in security, billing, and support. I have three different bluehost accounts, one of them for around twenty years. Now I am considering leaving. - Joe shea *******838
I have many issues with this site and service, including speed, outdated pages that still have not been fixed, and the last time I tried to update my blog, it would not stick. If it happens again now, I am going to find a new host.
You keep telling me my server is having issues... for over a week. And I keep getting errors when I try to create a page on my new wordpress... that I have no internet connection.
My other 2 sites work... otherwise I'd give you 1 star
My experience was good until two weeks ago. Since then my site has not been operational. Today, I'm finally getting closer to seeing my site, but it's got a "danger--this site isn't secure" warning on it. I'm getting rather frustrated as I really want to advertise a summer camp on my website and more than a week has passed since I first flagged the problem.
The process to load a purchased theme is not clear and have been working on resolving this for last 24 hours. Tech support suggestions are not clear and I am ready to give up but can't seem to find a way to get my money back.
You have too many nag screens trying to upsell your customers who just want to make a payment.
Plus the payment process now has many more steps than before you changed it.
Plus it's very irritating when you automatically add a $200 + hosting fee into the shopping cart.
These are shabby money grubbing actions - - If you don't change it I will start rating you one star on public rating websites. You are wasting your customer's time. And if you don't respond to customer's opinions they will leave in droves.
Used for hosting for several years but at renewal time prices increased significantly and they wouldn't give a better offer. Now that I've changed hosts they have started to offer new hosting plans at 20% of the cost on the renewal so clearly they could have offered it earlier to keep me as a customer. New host also has new features and doesn't charge extra for them. Site downtime has also been a regular problem over the last year with no compensation or explanation
We have been partnered with Bluehost for over five years; however, we are currently encountering significant challenges with their email service. These issues are having a substantial impact on our company's operations.
Support is worse and they response time after starting the chat is 10 min for each and every reply I'm using bluehost from last 8 years all of the sudden they stopped my hosting account and I try to renew no one helped me
My experience with BlueHost has been incredibly frustrating. Despite over 8 calls for assistance regarding the same issue, a persistent malware issue on my site, the support team repeatedly assured me that my site was clear after their scans, which was actually not the case. This oversight resulted in potential clients being redirected away from my site for months. Although a credit was offered as compensation, it doesn't equate to the potential business lost or the time and stress involved in resolving the issue myself. I expected a more thorough and proactive approach to securing my website security and customer service.
I am on the site less than 2 minutes and you have asked me to do a survey three times. How would i know, i just go here. Also, i have clicked on chat twice, and instead of getting the help i need, this survey pops up. That is not good service
Your services are expensive, I will give you that. Secondly, it is annoying that when I am creating a domain addon, I don't get to name the directory as I see fit. You just generate some weird stuff, it was not like that before.
There are so many changes and updates that i can't keep up with my hosting. I came to sign in and my userID was changed unbeknownst to me. It is super inconvenient to go from something you understood to relearning something you have no knowledge about. Since you guys upgraded the system nothing has been the same and thats unfortunate.
This happens all the time when I try to log in to my wp-admin.
"There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions."
When I call, some people know how to fix it and some don't. This is a big waste of time!
Its been around 4-months and I have never received the free help that was promised me to assist with my website when I made the purchase.
Several customer service personnel said someone was to contact me but that never happened.
So I'll just try doing it myself, without the help bluehost promise, otherwise another 4 months will pass by without my website being published.
Thanks.
Immediately after logging in, an advertisement popped up that blocked the entire screen, which I had to dismiss before I could continue to my account. Even worse, it was very unclear *how* to dismiss it. This is very disrespectful towards the customer, and gets an automatic low rating in my book.
Somehow our user ID was changed. Spent two very frustrating days trying to figure out what was wrong. Overall, the sign in experience has changed multiple times over the past several months - the layout, an ad that needs to be bypassed, and now our User ID. Not a great user experience.
Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
