It is easy to access help through Bluehost and their products and are easy to review and renew. When. Need help with WordPress, there is a very friendly, and effective consultative service which has helped me many times and I would highly recommend. Any time I've had problems with running my website, they have been easily accessible and supportive and answered all my questions.
You overcharged me for what was supposed to include technical help 24/7, but the 24/7 help always says I have to pay extra to help. Plus, on the bottom of my site, it has three rows for the same thing and won't let me delete them. I could have built a better site for free instead of paying $165.
The Bluehost interface is not user friendly. The message us field keeps popping up and obscuring the main window. Also, accessing various fields is confusing - you might have regular users test drive your layout to improve customer experience.
After speaking to one of your support crew they instructed us to delete some files to attempt to rectify a separate issue, which resulted in loosing all emails including inbox, sent, trash and all saved files across 7 different emails. These are first point contact for our clients and our business in general. This has impacted our business greatly. After a couple of different attempts talking to support personel the issue still is not rectified. We are unable to utilise emails 12 hours later, not good enough for a business' operations. It has caused anxiety and much stress between staff and clients. This should be a priority being the issue was created from very poor advice your end. Your customer service is appalling at best.
The customer service experience today has been terrible. Repeated attempts to contact someone either via phone or chat. I have not yet made contact with a human. The chat box opened, but there was nobody to chat with. Then I was told I would get a call back in 32 minutes. That was more than an hour ago.
Service has been inconsistent and frustrating. Not intuitive. The assistance they offered for over $160 per month was very good before they changed platforms going from Blue Sky to Bluehost. It was obvious that there was a reorganization because the level of communication and getting to the right department became exhaustive. Wordpress is not easy. I was very disappointed to observe the service going from excellent to sub par. Had to cancel. Nevertheless they host my website and getting in to edit has changed for the worse.

Every time I go to work on my site it takes me an hour just to get logged in. By the time I am logged in I don't have time to work on my site! Super frustrating! This time I tried resetting my password, got no emails for reset. Did the chat, they unlocked my login then sent reset emails. Still didn't get any email resets. Tried resetting myself again after having had it unlocked by the chat person. Tried twice on the second attempt it gave me the option of phone text and that worked. Frustrating!
There are constantly IT issues that effect me being able to edit my website. Each time I have to start a chat while it's taken care of and I'm told each time that there won't be any more issues and then there is only days later.
I'm still trying to figure out the site and having some trouble with the WordPress end. I'm working through some tutorials, but part of it is just the "figuring it out" isn't quite as intuitive as I'd hoped it would be. There are a lot of boxes when I click onto Wordpress - it's overwhelming and I'm not sure which ones I need to pay attention to first and which ones are "extra" ones that can wait until I get things up and running. I want the freedom to work through it and customize it, but I need a little more clarity in how to do that. (There's probably a user guide somewhere I just haven't found!)
Unfortunately, for the second time, Ive had issues promoting some changes from the staging environment. Spent the past three days on and off chat trying to sort it out. Seems to me that the staging solution is not stable.
As a fairly novice web site designer / publisher the site is high end but approachable and customer service is excellent.
I recently deleted a page by mistake and their live chat agent helped me fix the problem very easily.
It's a bit unclear what the steps are for migrating... It would be VERY helpful to have those steps outlined on the migration page and then on each email we get. You are at Step 2... do this, the next step is Step 3. I have not received an email telling me what the steps are for DNS changes to make my site live, not sure if I'm supposed to wait or do something.
This website has caused me nothing but trouble so far, and after hearing such great reviews, I am very disappointed so far. My latest problem now is not being able to access Word Press to work on my website.
I call every single month with the same issue that has not been rectified. I have already put in a ticket to have a call back days ago and no one has called me back yet. I have been paying hosting and purchasing my domains via bluehost for over 5 years and you treat your customers like crap. Bluehost continues to switch on the auto pay on my features without my permission causing NSF's with my bank and costing my hundreds of dollars every year with their error. No matter how many customer service reps I speak to that assure me during every call that they have fixed the problem it remains unfixed.
I came to blue host on an introductory offer, which included a domain for free. I selected my domain of choice and paid, but then when I created my account and accessed it, it didn't show the domain I had chosen. I had to purchase the domain for 2 years for an additional $50+. I contacted support to try and resolve this issue, but was just told that "refunds can not be issued on domains". If that is the case, then please fix the introductory offer so it doesn't state something that isn't true.
I really have found the customer service to be far below what I expected. At Level 3 it is better, but still massive lack of commination and clarity onto what's going on. I have had my site deleted, I have had MX records removed, my site down for several days, found so many bugs between the front and back end. All in all it has been a nightmare.
Customer service is terrible all my domains are constantly being attacked and my email doesn't work for almost a month. I have called mutiple times and am told in 2 hours it will be back and running. Never is
Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
