Issues with domain transfers and new emails, takes weeks to get working with support flip flopping on the issues
My account was locked for over one week. Each time I called, I was told to wait 24 hours. It was finally unlocked after one week.
Just review your cancellation of my domain last November, then your reinstatement of a new on this January AFTER your assurance that all of my data would be recovered in the state it was in when it was cancelled, and your inadequate help in helping me reinstate it. I subsequently replied to one of your emails that I did not bother to recover the website, and asked for my money back (about 225 USD). I was assured that my web site would be recovered as it was in November. It was not.
Also, you failed to help me set up shell access.
As I said in my email, I leave it to your conscience to refund me my money. Apparently, so far, your conscience is clear. Oh well.
A few issues trying to integrate things but that may be user error, unsure still! I'll update and review again later. ;)
I've had an absurd number of password problems plus the inability to login several times. It makes working with your company extremely difficult.
Bluehost website builder keeps breaking with errors popping up with PHP text deprecations on my home page, that's when it's working long enough for it to even load/let me edit in it. It may have been due to the most recent WordPress update but it's been a constant battle to edit my site from nearly the beginning. I am disheartened with this part of the service as I am trying to start a business, and cannot do so with my site constantly plagued with issues.
The site has become quite difficult to navigate and getting assistance is not very easy.
Very difficult to sign into account. I have needed to call for help logging in. Keeps telling me my my user ID and/or password are incorrect. I request a password reset and even after I change my password, the same repeat cycle and my account becomes locked out, again.
As a professional web developer, i have over a dozen websites with Bluehost. I have received exceptional service and the websites are hosted reliably. I do not have similar positive experiences to share with past hosting companies I have used.
Every day I find a new issue. First it was problems with my mx DNS, now I try and edit my site and it sends me to my mail.
I am in the process of creating a website with WordPress and the team cannot seem to help me add a contact form that actually works. I don't know how to solve the issue. Therefore, cannot launch my website.
Was having trouble signing up, kept asking to create an account when I already have one.
Very hard setting up website even with a template im finding it hard just to change text or an image! Also cant find any tutorials anywhere on how to set it up
Your costumer service is a nightmare. Solving a minor issue requires 2 hours of my day.
The login screen has problems. Also the promotional screen that appears each time I log in is annoying and I have to click past it each time I log in. Also I have been receiving text messages alerting me that there have been DNS changes to my bluehost registered domain that I do not recognize and bluehost is unable to account for. Also, I have attempted to change my DNS records and the changes I am trying to make do not appear reflected on the DNS record management page, leaving me unclear on whether these changes have been recorded.
Still getting use to some of the tools, I just wish there was an all comprehensive guide that helped a beginner better use the bluehost tool set. Alot of this stuff I have to go look up on youtube or google.
I think your renewal services SUCK! You over doubled my initial sign ups fees then begrudgingly gave me a discount for retention when I have talked to thers that received better discounts- It's a racket. If I leave estavlish services with someone else & come back I would get a much better deal. Your retention & lotalty to current customers is not good & will be remembered that I had to beg & go through jumping through hoops to get a discount which was 20% when the increase was 150% it is B.S.
Glad my site issue was resolved in a timely manner.
The only issue I've had has been with Wordpress footnotes. Often times when the draft of a post is saved, they show up on the post preview as regular sized numbers rather than superscript. When you change them to superscript yourself it messes up the order of the footnotes.
Stop reminding me to upgrade. It's getting annoying as I am trying to build my site and logging in.
Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
