After purchasing a $1000 item online at a reputable site, they partnered with Bizrate which offered me a "$100 Reward" for filling out a survey. After giving the survey the offered me 4 magazines, "A $100 Value"; that's fine, I get it, but then they wanted me to pay for "Processing". What a joke! Don't waste your time with this scam.
This site is a scam, ripoff, waste of time, you name it! Fortunately, after I "took" my first survey, I saw through the fake rewards system. Others have spent hours finding this out. Check reviews of any website before spending, wasting, too much time on them.
This site is totally ridiculous don't wast your time. They will entice you with a few min survey worth say 250 points and ask you about 10 mins. Worth of questions which is most likley the survey. Then one they get the info they were most likely looking for they tell you the surveys quota has been met and give you 50 points for your trouble. Then good luck trying to redeem your point. If you finley take the time to run through the gauntlet of advertisements and who knows what you find out you need at least 5000 point to collect a $5.00 discount on products that you can buy for $5.00 bucks or junk no one would take for free. DON'T WAST YOUR TIME!
Oh and to top it off, I received an email message Error! That my unsubscribe failed to go through! Are you kidding me!
Bizrate as an extension of Jo Malone purchase on their site:. Promise of $100 in "free" merchandise or some such. You give them all of your personal information just short of SSN and at the end you are offered "free" magazines but not so free with a "$2.00 processing fee"! This is a scam at it's finest! You are left wishing you could go back and erase the whole thing. Also, the magazine subscriptions are set up to auto-renew so down the line you will be forced to cancel them or renew at an exorbitant rate. Shame on Jo Malone! A luxury brand associated with a used car dealership mentality company.
I have answered Bizrate surveys for months, finally accumlating enough points to redeem a $5 gift card (which they were going to deliver to my e-mail account). Never heard from them again (other than to take more surveys lol) and nowhere does their website allow you to contact them to inquire about why you didn't receive the reward. Big waste of time for zero reward...
Tried to correct delivery address with company as I had it wrong. They referred me to fedex with tracking number who would not change it. It had to come from shipping company. Called back to company and the guy told me his guy had been on hold for over half hour doing what I should have done, quit calling as I was tying up his lines, would not listen to me, yelled at me on phone then hung up on me. I would NEVER BUY anything from this company again and that employee needs anger management classes and how to deal with public. Horrible public relations and a rude person. Have lots of friends working on their vehicles and people who repair cars for a living and told them not to buy from this company...
They invited me to take a surveys, however after answering a bunch of intrusive questions I didn't qualify. The points they offer are worth next to nothing if you do actually get to take a survey. So you may be getting pennies per hour for the time you spend.
Spent countless hours answering questions to find out I don't qualify for pretty any surveys ever. It took me a month to get 400 points which I come to find out is 40 cents or something ridiculous. What a scam.
Have pay my money y for useless "reward"magazines. Every time offers me $100 reward for purchase survey. After wasting time I get rewarded with chance to give my CC and pay for some useless magazines or "just" shipping. Pretty sure I would get signed up for that crap automatically and after some time would get charges & be a big hassle even to cancel. It's scam for sure
After you buy something from some sites bizrate offers you to take a survey for a free gift $100 value. After the survey they offer you to pick a year worth of subscription for up to 4 magazines, on a next screen they tell you that they actually will charge you $2 per each magazine and ask for your credit card info.
I chose to write a review for a website via Bizrate. At the end of the review came the scam. A $100 reward. Pick a magazine for FREE! Nothing in this world is FREE, so I tried to bypass the Reward and submit my review. OH, NO! It would not let me continue to submit my survey without getting stuck with a magazine-none of which I want to read. Been there, done that! NO MORE! Once the FREE magazine subscription ends, you get billed for a real subscription. Don't do the surveys!
Made a similar mistake as many others on this message board. Made the mistake of giving away information for the '$100' for my online store experience. I think I even thought it was for the store I had made a purchase at. They directed me to another site where I was to pay for $2 per prescription for up to 4 magazines. Was a narrow selection, not to mention the seemingly independent website which I was to Pay for my Free $100 gift. I thought this was ridiculous so I exited the website. After making another purchase a few days later, I was offered a free $25 gift for a review of my purchase. I don't think they need any more of my personal information. This appears to be a scam, and it worries me that its being linked to online vendors. I've read some reviews from others who did the Nigerian prince/air crash/relative-like thing and they did get there magazines (for the $2 each) but could not cancel.
They offer an incentive for taking a survey. The incentive is pushing other products that you typically don't want and audio is played telling you that you can claim this award. I was on the train so I close the page. Never a good experience with bizrate.
It's been three years since I joined Bizrate up to now I only have 2775 points! It takes forever to accumulate points. Email that I receive for survey always say quota has been reached even though I just receive the email 4 minutes before I do the survey.
Just as soon as you get the 5000 points to claim reward get rid of your Bizrate account.
I purchased an aftermarket hood for my BMW 325 from PatrsGeek.com and I have to say, it was very cheaply made. I did have a chance to speak with one of their managers and she was actually very professional, no complaints there. My only complaint is that the part itself truly is junk and so this is more of a buyer beware review.
Rip off! Said I'd be entered for $100 if I took a survey, when I finished it said 'congrats, here are your magazine subscriptions worth $100, just send $8 for processing'?!?! Bet I'll be on a spam list for years now!
I recently purchased a Gaggia Titanium coffee machine and it did not work. I had not even had the machine for 24 hours, it costs $700 and when I called to say I wanted to return it the service rep told me that I should've read the fine print. I have to pay for the original shipping costs and new original packaging (which has to be ordered from them) and then pay for return shipping. All this for a machine that won't work with any oily beans, which they never stated in their video about the ease of use of this machine. So if you like Starbucks beans just know it won't work with this machine. We have done business three times with this company wholelattelove over the past 10 years only to be treated like our business doesn't matter and that they make a habit of stonewalling people who are unhappy with their purchase. This company does not stand behind their products and are rude on many levels. I will never do business with them again.
The dangle a carrot in front of you and claim that it's value is $100. All you got to do is fill out the survey. Turns out it's a bunch of magazines subscriptions that are renewing. Shame on you BizRate minus respect. You're disgusting. Tell the truth upfront gain respect.
I filled out a survey and was offered 4 magazines for $2.00. I reluctantly chose 4 and got a bill for $8. 00. 4 mags@ $2 each. That was not the deal offered. If I could put them out of business, I would. I had to click on one of the star ratings. I would have given it a minus if I could.
Do not sign up for anything that's related to Bizrate if you don't want to be spammed. I made the mistake of doing so through Overstock, and now I keep getting Bizrate's emails. Even though I've I unsubscribed at least three times, their emails are still coming through. So beware!
Answer: Susan, Go to TMESUB.com and you will see their number to get a live person. It is: 1 (877) 755-8550. Talk to someone there and don't take "no" for an answer. Tell them you want to cancel the subscriptions that you wish to cancel. Tell them you want a full refund. If they say no, then tell them that you will dispute any charges with your credit card company. This will get them to reconsider. Be sure and be firm. If that doesn't work, call the credit card company and dispute the charges. Hope this helps. Barbara
