After Bizrate asks lots of personal information, such as income, number of children and ages, etc., there is NO MONEY as a prize, just STINKING magazine subscriptions, which I hate. False advertising!
No matter how many times I click to do a survey, and answer all the questions, the so-called survey ends by telling me I don't qualify for a survey (even though I'd already answered survey questions!). And it always shows ZERO points, no matter how many surveys I've answered. So they're getting whatever info they're after without giving anything promised in return. I've unsubscribed, and GOOD RIDDANCE.
Biz right is a scam and I would never buy through, nor recommend same to ANY of my friends or or business people.
All they want is your money and they DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING BUT THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR.!
After posting a review of a company vendor, Bizrate offered me magazine subscriptions for $2 ea., which I took. About 4 months later, some magazine I never asked for, charged my credit card for $90 and I had to have the charge declined, which took some time. A few weeks later, ANOTHER magazine charge, so I refuted that charge and got a new credit card # issued. They are nothing more than SCAM ARTISTS.
I've been able to successfully redeem the $2 annual magazine subscriptions several times and made it work by marking the renewal date on my calendar so I can call and make sure they don't renew automatically at the regular expensive rate. However, the survey thing I think is a complete scam. The suspicious thing about it is that every time you click on a survey or complete one, it has your browser hang and hang and hang for such a long time (one said "Checking your internet capabilities") that the only reasonable answer would be that they're installing multitudes of cookies and gathering info from my computer. Every time you complete a survey it says DON'T CLOSE YOUR BROWSER YET! IF YOU CLOSE YOUR BROWSER BEFORE THE COUNTDOWN IS COMPLETE YOU WON'T RECEIVE YOUR POINTS! No legitimate survey company does anything remotely like this. So all I can surmise is that bizrate surveys are NOT SAFE. And not worth all the effort, tracking, and suspicious activity that ensues.
I was told I would get a free year subscription to up to 4 magazines. Never saw anything but a bill. Disputed the charge with my credit card company. They're a bunch of filthy liars and thieves
Bizrate, and all of its sub-components ie bizrate rewards-is a scam. I have never been involved with bizrate surveys, I got cought up with them totally by chance and accident. I was shopping on journeys.com looking to buy a pair of boots. While I was shopping a pop up suddenly appeared pushing magazine subscriptions. I thought this was strange, because what do these subscriptions have to do with boots anyway? Or any other clothing item on that site for that matter. I concluded my shopping by purchasing a pair of black patent doc martens boots-order number *******. On checkout there was a weird pop up that said vans. I got an order confirmation, money for boots was removed from my account, and the next morning I recieved a shipping confirmation- again for the boots. Fast forward a week and my journeys package arrived. When I opened it fake sk8-low in classic white vans was inside. My shipping confirmation email showed my boots had been delivered, but all that had come was those fake vans. I was pretty certain that malware/malicious adware on journeys.com had caused this issue. Customer service was not helpful with resolution. They even insisted that all their products are not copy cats in any way. Well- they sent me fake vans, and they came out of their distribution center in TN. It turns out journeys.com uses bizrate on their site. Bizrate is adware, and it caused this whole mess to happen. Bizrate is also a type of survey site-it's kind of strange how journeys.com has such high ratings on bizrate…hmmmm
Recently I purchased books online, and suddenly an online survey appeared, offering $25 for taking the survey. Initially I thought the site belonged to the reputable book company, but realized later that it was BIZRATE, ROGUES I HAVE AVOIDED SINCE SEVERAL YEARS. I started to get suspicious after I noticed that the survey was combining what seemed like 'legitimate' questions, with a lot of unnecessary personal details that BIZRATE UNDOUBTEDLY IS SELLING CUSTOMERS' PERSONAL INFORMATION TO OTHER SCAMSTERS/MARKETERS FOR LARGE SUMS OF MONEY-TO FILL OUR SPAM FILTERS. There have been too many reviews like this on this site, and it is time government authorities penalize BIZRATE and take them off the market. I will not be surprised if they come back with a different name in that case--with the same or similar mode of operation!
The amount of information you need to provide upfront in their survey for the "$100 reward" is unsettling. You're giving away so much more than this "reward" is worth, and you still have to agree to subscribe to magazines (and pay for them) to get it. Who wants to pay for magazine subscriptions? EVERYTHING IS AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET THAT IS AVAILABLE IN A MAGAZINE. Total garbage scam. Don't trust them or give them a single byte of info.
Completed survey that was prompted by telling me I was selected to receive $100. AFTER completing survey and giving ALL my information I find out its for $100 worth of (4 free) magazines. To add insult to injury... after picking 4 "free" magazines they ask for a credit card to process my "FREE" order. So basically they got what they wanted and I got JACK. NO MAGAZINES LOSS OF TIME AND ENERGY COMPLETING THEIR SURVEY. Despicable business practices! TERRIBLE!
I bought a horse fly sheet less than a month ago. The sheet tore. It is a RAMBO brand sheet and cost over $170.00. Valley Vet refuses to replace or repair.
Thought I was getting a $100 gift code for the site I purchased from and it was $100 of 4 magazines with a $3 processing fee. Lame. Not as advertised. Scam
On 5/23 I received an e-mail from them regarding a cancelled purchase from ThinkGeek. I responded on their feedback form that the purchase was CANCELLED and they shouldn't send e-mails asking to rate a product until they actually verified that the order was fulfilled and not... you know... CANCELLED.
Then on 5/28 I received a "reminder" e-mail to rate my order. The one that, you know, was CANCELLED. I have since blocked their entire domain because I do not enjoy being harassed about orders and especially not CANCELLED orders.
My advice? Avoid this company and any company that partners with them.
Ever since switching to GCodes to pay out rewards, it is one big FAIL after another. They used to pay out $5 gift cards directly but now don't even do that. Total scam for your time. Don't bother.
I purchased 2 Ameriglide stair for my mothers house. The site was official and the price was good. You are not buying from the factory, but the nearest distributor. Installation was a disaster, the job was not complete, the lower chair was wobbly, and the installer did not want to dispose of the many cardboard boxes. We contacted the site wiith our complaints, and were told by the sales department that when you buy something at walmart the box is yours. WOW! We did pay for installation. We also complained that the lower chair was wobbly and needed additional support. We were told that the installer only had to do minimum supports, We also had a problem with the lower chair intermittently stopping from the beginning, and after 2 months was able to finally get their service/installer out to the house at our expense. The needed lower support was installed, and we were told nothing was wrong with the chair. Meanwhile the chair continued to give us problems, until finally 6 months later it completely quite. The chairs are 10 months old now). We contacted the official site where we bought the chairs, and waited over 1 week for a response to acknowledge the issue. It has now been two weeks since the chair quit, and we have yet to receive a appointment for repair. Know my mother has to walk the lower stairs at 90 years old, trying to get around the obstruction of the dead chair.
I would recommend you find a local lift chair company, even it it cost 25% more. And do not buy from AMERIGLIDE.

This is a huge waste of time. Stay away. They send you emails to take surveys which will take your information and most surveys will end the survey after several minutes. Total waste of time.
It said you could get up to $100 for filling out a survey, only at the end of the survey do you find out that it's up to $100 worth of magazine subscriptions. I don't read or want any magazines.
Go through survey to get $100 of free stuff just to find out it's magazines and you have to pay $8 processing to get it. What a scam.
Answer: Susan, Go to TMESUB.com and you will see their number to get a live person. It is: 1 (877) 755-8550. Talk to someone there and don't take "no" for an answer. Tell them you want to cancel the subscriptions that you wish to cancel. Tell them you want a full refund. If they say no, then tell them that you will dispute any charges with your credit card company. This will get them to reconsider. Be sure and be firm. If that doesn't work, call the credit card company and dispute the charges. Hope this helps. Barbara
