Promises something of value ($100),makes you work for it by answering questions, and then you find out your "reward" is 4 magazine subscriptions that are no way worth $100 (they have special rates all the time) and you have to pay $2.00 each to "process" and they are are self-renewing to boot. Scam. Shou ;d be illegal.

I was inly able to complete 1 survey. Got bored one night, so figured I'd do a few. I went thru 10 or more surveys answering my demographic info anywhere from 5 to 10 questions only to get the message I do not meet the criteria. Once you open a bizrate account, they ask you all your demo info. What a waste if time. Deleted my account

They lure you in with something free. Its magazines and you have to pay for them.

The oddest thing about the site is it keeps saying login at the top of the page despite me being logged in.

I did enough surveys to redeem for an Amazon gift card figuring I would only do a few to check if its legit. Its been almost two weeks since I redeemed and I have still yet to receive anything.

I reached out to customer service and I heard nothing back.

This seems more like a scammy data fishing website. Don't use as it will just mine your data.

So I get an invitation to join, awesome, I'll try it out. You get X amount of points for a survey and X amount gets you a gift card. Doesn't list anywhere how much the gc is for so I answer surveys honestly to try and redeem a gc to see if it's actually worth my time. I take 20 mins of my time answering questions honestly only to kicked out of that one (no points earned) and start another one. This goes on and on until I finally get a chance to redeem a gc, again I have no idea how much it's for just want to see if it makes sense to keep doing. I put in my phone number just to be told it's not a valid #. Um it is literally my phone #. I contact customer service to see what is up...they'll get back to me. I try to make sure my profile has my accurate # and I'm logged out, my password doesn't work. I try to reset numerous times can't get in no email link sent to reset no communication whatsoever until a couple days and customer service said you violated Clint's terms and conditions, we removed your account, you can't redeem rewards and the is non reversible. Like what in the actual f*ck?!?! I log in answer surveys and when I try to redeem my earned award you just kick me out! STAY AWAY PEOPLE, don't waste your time.

Bizrate is a partner to Zola, a wedding registery. My elderly & poor-sighted aunt just wanted to send a wedding gift out & was FORCED to pick out 4 magazines she neither wants or can read. Bizrate has her credit card & will bill her for something she didn't ask for. Please stop the shady underhanded moves, Bizrate. You should be ashamed! If your have blackmail people to use your service, what type of service are you?

Tip for consumers:
Do not use Zola or companies that partner with BizRate!

Verified purchase

Basically spend 10 minutes making a "confidential" review that isnt really confidential. Under the impression you are gettung "up to" 100$ (of course you arent). Then you find out the "reward" is for stuff like a discount on magazine subscriptions and has nothing to do with the merchant you filled out the survey for. Its 2022... Nobody subscribes to magazines. They also collect some pretty intrusive information about you and your household... And they say they dont sell it. Well I made a burner email just for that survey to see what would happen. 2 months later theres dozens of spam emails in there... Bizrate arent scammers, by definition... But by principle, yes, they are scammers.

Tip for consumers:
Dont waste your time

I joined and have a total of 1800 points. I have taken too many surveys that end with "Unfortunately, you did not qualify for this survey." I did my part, and should have been compensated for my time invested, or, at least told not to bother because I don't qualify. $5 gift card for 5000 points I may never be able to complete, maybe after about 24 hrs. Of wasted time. I will unsubscribe to this scam!

Wow! The customer Service representative, Jane Miles, with whom we spoke today, guided my wife and I through the world of ceiling fans to get the best product for us and our needs! Jane spent time with us examining the specs and details. She was knowledgeable, informative and consistently patient with us and our questions, all of which resulted in us purchasing highly-rated ceiling fans for our beautiful new home.
Thank you again, Jane! We truly appreciated your knowledge of the products and the careful attention to detail to paid.

DONT BUY HERE! I recently worked for over 2 years at a spa tub cover making company. This company is family run by a single owner. One of the reasons I left the company is that the owner lies and commits fraudulent business with the customers. I probably made your cover. Product upgrades are offered, charged, and paid for that do not even exist. The customer has no idea they are paying for a fictitious upgrade.these are on the website. This is unethical and literally stealing from the customer. These can be found on the websites. Vapor barrier we use is 4 mil, and 6 mil. They double up 4 mil for a double barrier. That's It! His site offers standard 4 mil, "double thick" for +$20, "triple thick" for +&29, and "double thick double wrap" fir - $41. These are fictional and do not get done and do not exist. Also foam density He has is 1# and 1.5#. His sites offer 1#, 1 5# and 2#. He got rid of 2 # foam years ago and keeps it in the computer as an option. Stating no customer would ever know. The upgrade on a 2# oversize density is +$277 dollars. He sells 2# upgrades all day to poor unsuspecting customers and people who get 1 5 # get the exact same thing. His sites also talk about oven moisture free foam. That's a lie the foM sits outside a lot of the time getting rained on. The plastic is sealed by hand using a stick to push the air out holes are taped up with box tape. This company acts as two companies as well. Beyond nice.com, and spacoverinc.net. They are the same location and same dirty small shop

Tip for consumers:
This is a corrupt company.

The bizrate site itself may be safe, but the surveys the site connects you to are dangerous information gathering scum! Directly after joining up, and going to a couple of surveys, I started getting bombarded with SPAM emails. I am smart enough to delete such, "rewards", emails, but I wasn't smart enough to research bizrate before signing up. In my opinion, just avoid bizrate when it pops up at the end of your online order.

Tip for consumers:
Run, don't walk, away from bizrate.

They say "you'll be great for this survey" and 10% in or so it says you're not a good fit but here is another survey only to get a little ways into that and be told its not a good fit again. This happened about a half a dozen times before gave up. Seems like a scam or data mining maybe. I would stay away, I have to dump my email now.

I bought something on Estee Lauder this morning, when I finished my purchase it appear the survey, I (foolish) took the survey, but I didn't accept the "reward" (the magazines) my surprise was 3 hours before, when my credit card notified me that a $ 493 purchase had been made with my credit card, the same card I used with my Estee Lauder purchase. This is the first time I have a problem like that with my card so I really think this site has something to do with it. BE AWARE!

I have been getting magazines from the biz ate survey for years. I just call up the 800 number for The Magazine Center and ask not to be on auto-pay, that way I don't get charged for a full subscription when the year is up. Have never had a problem with my cc being used illegally, or my getting tons of Spam. This is the only way I can afford magazine subscriptions, so I am grateful.

Bizrate, and all of its sub-components ie bizrate rewards-is a scam. I have never been involved with bizrate surveys, I got cought up with them totally by chance and accident. I was shopping on journeys.com looking to buy a pair of boots. While I was shopping a pop up suddenly appeared pushing magazine subscriptions. I thought this was strange, because what do these subscriptions have to do with boots anyway? Or any other clothing item on that site for that matter. I concluded my shopping by purchasing a pair of black patent doc martens boots-order number *******. On checkout there was a weird pop up that said vans. I got an order confirmation, money for boots was removed from my account, and the next morning I recieved a shipping confirmation- again for the boots. Fast forward a week and my journeys package arrived. When I opened it fake sk8-low in classic white vans was inside. My shipping confirmation email showed my boots had been delivered, but all that had come was those fake vans. I was pretty certain that malware/malicious adware on journeys.com had caused this issue. Customer service was not helpful with resolution. They even insisted that all their products are not copy cats in any way. Well- they sent me fake vans, and they came out of their distribution center in TN. It turns out journeys.com uses bizrate on their site. Bizrate is adware, and it caused this whole mess to happen. Bizrate is also a type of survey site-it's kind of strange how journeys.com has such high ratings on bizrate…hmmmm

Buying from an online store, Bizrate offered 4 free mags for 1 yr. Then wanted $2/mag & credit card info

Tip for consumers:
Don't fall for free stuff for taking Bizrate surveys unless you don't mind paying and giving credit card info.

I think I got sucked into this survey site because after doing some online shopping, a popup asked me to review my experience. I guess I wasn't paying attention and didn't uncheck the box to join up. At first I thought I would try it and the experience was pretty good at first. I racked up about 1100 points and then I stopped having any success with any of the surveys given to me. I get emails from them about new surveys but upon starting them am told that I don't qualify. It'll find me new ones with the promise of "Based on your profile, you qualify for this survey." Okay, that sounds good. I haven't answered many questions of the new survey when I'm suddenly kicked out and told I'm not a good fit or I don't qualify. So they think I qualify based on my profile, but then I actually don't. And, yes, my profile is pretty much complete, so there's no excuse there. I thought it was fun at first but now it's really off-putting to be wasting my time for nothing. I haven't been able to finish a survey and get compensated for them in months. Not sure what I can do with the 1100 points. I was told a few more surveys can get me an eGift Card. How many more is "a few"? Not sure I want to continue if I'm just never going to be able to successfully complete any of these surveys anymore.

Tip for consumers:
Just beware that you may have some success with this site at first and earn quite a few points, but later on it'll be rare if you qualify for any surveys or get to finish them. Seems kind of a rip-off.

I signed up to take the Bizrate surveys and once I reached 1,650 points every survey came back that I was not a good fit for the survey. Of course, this is after I had already answered questions that could be used in the survey - such as brand preferences or brand knowledge. They have been promising me a $100.00 gift certificate for months as soon as I reach a certain point level. Their emails always start with an offer to do a survey with 1000 plus points, but after a few questions they tell me that survey isn't available but I can take one of 250 points and as stated above as soon as I answer all their questions, I'm told I don't qualify for the survey. I'm calling BS on this. They use the answers, but offer nothing in return.

Tip for consumers:
Don't waste your time.
