Was really anxious ordering off this site but so glad I did ordered my lil girls bike Friday it came today OMG am so in love with it it's perfect can't wait to see her face on Christmas Day now thank you so much
Bought a bike for my 2 year old grand daughter which was faulty on arrival contacted bikes2udirect and fount the aftersales personnel very argumentative and unhelpful. After several calls to the company I was told to send the bike back via the post office and I would recieve a full refund for the bike and the postage again several calls later I received a refund for the bike £79:99 but not the postage £41:43 and was basically called a liar. Disgusting attitude from these people and appalling aftersales, would not recommend this company it has been a nightmare for me as a pensioner.

if you cant put a bike togerther you wont be able to save this sort of money. if you can its the way to go! ( the bike has been set up but you need to adjust the steering height etc) Very pleased with the whole deal and sad to see lame comments by some others
2018 - Having ordered from them before (review below) I wasn't too hesitant on using them again. This time ordered a Ridgeback for our young son three days before Christmas, we were provided parcel tracking details and it arrived the next day perfectly packed and ready to assemble. Much cheaper than others and no additional delivery charge - excellent!
2017 - We were looking for a bike for our four year old and after some research I'd decided exactly what we wanted. I found said bike (a Cuda Blox) on Bikes2UDirect at a very good price, but before ordering I thought I'd better check the reviews of the company. So which site came up near the top - yes this one. Well based on the overwhelmingly negative reviews here I almost didn't order but I also found reviews on Trustpilot which although not free of negative comments also had quite a few positives.
In the end I decided to order from Bikes2U as the bike was nearly £40 cheaper than anywhere else and came with free delivery. I ordered at 16:30 on the Wednesday it was dispatched the next day and arrived early on Friday - great. The bike was delivered in it's original manufacturer packaging and in perfect condition. So after assembly our daughter was very happy and so were we.
No doubt this company has some customer service issues to resolve but they are not the con artists they are made out to be here.
I also wonder where some negative reviews don't reflect the problem with buying bikes online that need to be assembled by the customer. If you're not comfortable using an allen key and a spanner and in making the adjustments to a new bike before it goes on the road then purchase a bike from a bike shop so this is all done for you. Of course this will cost more, but you pays yer money...................

Customer service has basically said tough !
What a pathetic company. First they send me a 'new' bike that is actually broken and rusty. They then told me that I should fix this myself! The useless Khristine from "Customer Care" (what a joke), mentions, quote:
"It is a simple task. If you felt unwilling to replace this yourself and seeked professional assistance, this would be under your responsibility"
What kind of reputable company does this? Please avoid and don't buy from here. The good reviews must have been self written. If they are this poor with their service, would you like your family to be riding any cycles that are poorly assembled from this company?
Tip for consumers: Please do not buy from here. There is no post sale customer service. I am not the only reviewer that has said this.
I ordered a £250 Fat Bike for my partner, it arrived with scratches and marks all over.
All they could offer me was a £15 refund.
I opted for a replacement this arrived in an even worse condition.
The customer service was shocking and more or less said what do you expect for £250 when there RRP is £399.....disgusting.
I would never use again.
FRAUDULENT company - Con Men
I bought this bike more than a month ago and after spending hours assembling it with the wrong bike manual I discovered the seat wouldn't stay up and the clamp was damaged!.
I called the customer service team and all they could tell me is that I had to take my bike to the mechanic and that they would have sent me a new clamp!
I took the bike to two different mechanics and they both tried to tighten the clamp, as soon as I sat on it, it would always slide down again!
The third time the seat managed to stay up for half an hour and I decided to ride it home to avoid paying MORE MONEY to carry this disgrace around town.
By the time I arrived home (1 mile away from the third mechanic) the bike handlebar start SLIDING! and it was coming out of place (please note that the handlebar was already assembled at the warehouse!!)
This is extremely dangerous, the bike wasn't balance anymore. The handlebar was coming off and the seat was sliding down! A NIGHTMARE.
I called the company to inform them of the issue which is now obviously due to the manufacturing and they just advised me very rudely to go to a mechanic and get it thighten AGAIN. They start reading a list of mechanics around town and didn't take any responsibility for the issue.
This is an absolute disgrace. I can go to the mechanic 20 TIMES, the bike will get undone all over again and one of those time I'll be in the middle of traffic risking my life thanks to them.
I spent too much money on getting this bike around town and paying for mechanics, I could have bought a decent bike with the same amount of.
This issue is taken too lightly and can easily escalate in a health hazard, I will be sure to take actions with Trading Standards.
I ordered a Dahon folding bike from Bikes2UDirect (who also trade as Highfield Cycles in Bradford according to their website). Within 3 weeks, one of the pedals started grinding, and quickly came off leaving me stranded, and stripping the thread from the crank. I tried to call the company half a dozen times without getting through, and sent 2 different emails, without getting any response.
In the end, I had to pay £90 to my local cycle repairers to replace pedals, crank and chain-ring. The repairer was of the view that the pedal had simply been fitted wrongly by Bikes2UDirect.
Since then, I have a written a letter to Bikes2UDirect, on the advice of CAB, requesting recompense. Needless to say, I have had no reply. My advice to anyone thinking of buying a bike from these people would be: DON'T!
My daughters bike arrived with a very deep scratch on the handle bars whoever dispatched this bike could not of missed it this shows how shady the company is, I was offered £10 back or £15 accessories unfortunately my daughter has fallen in love with the bike and begged me not to send it back. They have a very take it or leave it attitude I would advise anyone to avoid this company.
I ordered a beautiful Viking bike for my daughter. When it arrived I immediately saw a number of quite bad scratches on the frame. I contacted customer services who asked me to send photos, which I did. They offered me a set of bike lights or £10 refund.
I said no, and they upped it to £15. I unwrapped the rest of the bike and found lots more scuffs and scratches. I sent these photos as well, and was told that the most they would still refund is £15.
I told them that this wasn't good enough and to come and collect the bike. They said that I had to repackage the bike with ties, and as it was, and if any damage comes to it on its return, I would be charged for it. At this point I read some very worrying reviews of this company and decided that sending the bike back and hoping for a refund would be a very bad idea. They had my credit card details and had already informed me that if they decided thst the bike wasn't packaged well enough by me, they would take money from my account. I decided to cut my losses and my daughter ended up with a scratched and scuffed bike for her birthday, which I then had to pay someone to assemble, as they sent me assembly instructions for a bmx.. a completely different bike.
Avoid this company at all costs; their cheap prices are not that cheap at all when they are sending damaged items to their customers.
The worst service I've had in my life. I received a bike that I purchased there with a default crank's thread. After calling the Customer Service they didn't want to do anything about it. After 2 weeks waiting they sent me a new pedal that of course didn't fit in the crank. After calling them more than 10 times at last they asked me to send them pictures from the crank so they could decide what to do. Of course they told me that the warranty didn't cover that piece and that I've to pay for that.
So basically I've to pay for something that received broken and I couldn't ride the bike for 1 month after its purchase.
To stress that the Customer Service tactic is put you on hold for a long time or just remain in silent when you ask for an explanation.
As I said, WORST SERVICE IN MY LIFE.
