Games removed
December 14, 2023

Don't get any games from them since they will just take them away. I don't recommend this company to anyone. Just get their games if you can on a different platform.

I have had BFG memberships twice. I missed playing the games recently and renewed my membership. I with I hadn't! It's been nothing but technical issues, even though my iMac is up to date and has plenty of space.
I give up. I will find another outlet for my online games.

Of all the web companies we encounter while using our computer, BigFish is the most uncooperative. They love to block your use, and they never forgive a single change you had made over the years, in your sign-in info (user name and password).

They may have some of the best games, but the very worst in employee attitudes. Very mean and unhelpful.

Inappropriate billing
January 23, 2017

This firm will continue to bill you long after you think you have finished using its aps. Beware. They do not email you to say they are billing you and will not email you when your card is replaced with a new expiration date. They just keep on billing.

Dont buy, rip off!
January 29, 2020

Take it from me and thousands of others that get suckered in to their game and buying coins. Trust me you lose more and will waste tons of money. They take advantage of people really bad and are a piss poor company.

Needs improvements
January 22, 2017

The game makes it too hard to earn stars to be able to move into the next level. Double point days games are few; the best way to earn enough stars to play in the next level. Players don't earn enough coins when they do win to make it worthwhile to even play.

I had a "club membership" a couple of years ago and was not happy. I decided to get a trial game and was enjoying it until the free trial ended. I was hooked and decided to buy it. As soon as they got my debit number I can't download the game. I have been in the customer service (lol) loop. I'm pissed at myself for thinking they have changed.

I have purchased lots of games over the years and yet when I have a problem no one will respond to my request. Suddenly, I can not download or install any of my purchased games, but I can install one of their games in the trial version. Upon reading some of the other reviews this seems to be a big problem with Gamefish. Stay away from their site, because sooner or later you are going to have problems.

I tried to buy a game from BigFish. Instead of giving me a link for the download, they asked for all my info again, and again, and again. Why? So they ould bill me more than once? I emailed them and they said click on the Cancel My Membership link in My Acount. Guess what? There's no such link! The link to Live Chat doesn't work either. Their email said I signed up for a monthly membership at $6.99 a month. I unchecked that box at the start! I sent several emails, got the same lame reply about membership and there's no physical address to write to nor any phone number to call. Buy your games elsewhere!

Disappearing Coins
January 17, 2022

Your coins disappear right before your eyes and you don't even have to be in a game, just in the lobby your coins will reduce in amount in just seconds. I had over 2 million coins and was in the lobby scrolling through slots when I noticed my coin amount drop. It drop 5 times until all I had left was 33k coins. It has happened several times and tickets about the errors get closed with no resolution or fix. This morning I got kicked out of a game and just closed the app. Went back an hour or do later and they gave me 1.5 million coins because of interrupted game play. I entered a slot game, got kicked out before I could spin once, game asked to rejoin, I rejoined and 1.7 million coins were gone! No game play at all they just disappeared. They left me 33k coins. RIP OFF! I screeshot it every time it did it

I have dire grove collectors edition and it keeps kicking me out of the game. Why?
Especially during the latter part of the game. This is very annoying. I go in and it kicks me out, I go in and it kicks me out, and so on. Please see if you can fix this so I can finish my game. Thank you.

I bought maybe 8 games here, and they worked fine at first, but suddenly I wasn't able to buy anymore games. I tried to contact them, but all they could say was there was a glitch with their system... They never tried to fix it. And, then, suddenly, all the games I purchased disappeared, and I was told that my "trial was over" and I should buy them (again!). Needless to say, I turned to the App Store, where I should've started.

Don't be sucked in by their deals! It'll cost you more in the long run!

Credit card fraud
September 26, 2020

Don't trust them. They are the only ones I used my credit card on. I got a nice little credit card statement in the mail and it looks like someone went on a shopping spree on instacart with my card. That was in California I live in Mississippi! I have an open investigation going on right now about it with my card company. Not happy right now! And yes I will be filing a complaint with the BBB!

Don't Respond
February 27, 2022

I have been a Big Fish customer for over ten years, and their customer service used to be excellent. Right now, I've emailed them to tell them I couldn't purchase any game credits (says the service is not available at this time). I've emailed customer service and have not heard back. They seem to be nonresponsive and don't care that they are losing sales because their website isn't working properly.

If you are are running Windows10. Don't bother with trying to use BigFish games.
I used to love them, but now

(1) trial plays completely freeze computer
(2) some games completely skip the trial and regular game play - and show Bonus play - which won't run unless you complete regular game play. They have great games, but you just can't play them.
(3) When you finish a trial, count on re-booting. They just simply freeze everything.
(4) Customer service used to be good, but not anymore. They don't bother to respond.
(5) If there was a zero (0) review, I would totally do that.

They're the worst company ever. If you download their "Free to Play" games they reset "At Will". If you actually spent real money to advance your "Free to Play" game & it resets they take forever to get back to you & give you "Wishy Washy" responses at best.

Don't waste your time or money.

I had a problem with a game i purchased flickering so badly that i couldn't play it. I complained of course and wanted it fixed. Not ten hours later, they had said 24 to 48 hours, that had sent me a list of ways to troubleshoot. I am a techno-idiot. I couldn't troubleshoot something with an idiots guide and a gun to my head. But there right in clear print was a coupon code for a free game it i wanted that instead. A wonderful alternative. Now i have a game i can actually play and no frustrating techno babel to wade through, fail, give up, and still have no game. Do i wish i could be playing the game i ordered originally? Yes. But i am happy with my second choice and getting this alternative is, in my experience, absolutely unheard of. I had expected to fight for months for a refund. So five stars big fish.
