I've been a customer for many years and slowly, the number of camera stores seems to be drying up. But this site is still the absolute best! It provides the most detail for every product, gives you links to almost all of the compatible accessories, and when you post a question, both the manufacturer's representative and a B&H rep will chime in within 24 hours to give you a thorough answer, including helpful links. There is great value in signing up with their Payboo credit account, as it gives you discounts equivalent to sales tax. I will continue to come back here for all of my needs. They have the same price as any other retailer, if not better.
Terrible experience with B&H. I ordered a remote flash trigger and they had two addresses on file for me, one of which I haven't lived in for years. For some reason, they defaulted to shipping to this old address. Once I noticed the error I immediately contacted B&H, who told me to use the FedEx "delivery manager" to change the delivery. When I attempted to do this, I received the following message: "Due to shipper restrictions, additional delivery options are not available for this shipment. For more information please contact the shipper." So basically, B&H tells me to contact FedEx, and FedEx tells me to contact B&H. What is especially frustrating is that I noticed the error when the package was right here in Sacramento, where I live. Yet B&H claimed they could do nothing. Thankfully I did not order something more expensive. I will never buy from this company again.
That user survey must be getting put to good use, because my experience just gets better. Everything I need to know or see is right there. Most recent tweaks to the checkout have made it less confusing. As for customer service, I had an issue with an order and called CS. They were on it! The customer service rep kept me updated on the situation it was awesome. The one thing lacking are more user reviews, and thats not so much a site problem as its a user problem. Overall Id say Im more than pleased with my ecommerce experience.
You'll find quality items here that you can't find in stock with other online stores. The only thing that I would improve with this company is their shipping provider. Shipments sometimes come a day after the expected date, which can cause a problem if resources are lined up to help with setup and installation of the merchandise.
Have been using BH for over 10 years and have always found the best prices, outstanding shipping and courteous returns. Sometimes, they will even give you a small discount over the phone. Can't say enough nice things about this absolutely, all-round professional company!

I've been dealing with B&H for about 20 years now. This entity is the consummate business, with regard to my photographic needs. Their exemplary products, service and website have made my experiences productive. They have never disappointed.
I'm a professional photographer and have been a long-term customer of B&H (since the early 70's) for photo, video, some audio, accessories, lighting & other studio gear. I've used their excellent website as a learning tool for products (and techniques) new to me.
Whether placing a phone order or working on line, we never have difficulties when ordering photo items from B&H Photo Video. It works well and quickly and you do not have to play guessing games. The reviews of items are also quite helpful.
This is not my first or second time ordering from B&H, in fact my company uses their services quite often for many of our technology needs on a regular basis. They have great prices with an even greater selection of products that we use on a daily basis.

Online purchase made on Jan 4th. Email receipt indicated item would be shipped in 7 to 10 business days. I called several times for updates and on February 4th was told the item status was now on back order. Interest free loan scam... What a joke...
I live in Florida and over the years I've purchased many items on-line without hesitation. I have never experienced any problems. These folks are honest, responsive and dependable. Highly recommended.
A great experience! Consistently B&H offers the best in the selection, pricing, and service. With that combination, it only makes sense to return when the need arises. I love there daily special offering that they email, but sometimes I might love them a little too much for my budget. You can purchase without concern because if it doesn't meet your need, they will help find what will!
I've been doing business with B&H for many years now. I've ordered a lot of items over the years some big and some small. They are always priced well and if an item happens to be one of their "Daily Deals" you will most likely NOT find the item anywhere on the web for less money. Today prior to this review I bought a small item for!/2 the price it was on Amazon--50% cheaper!
The one area in which this company really shines is customer service. I've had to contact them on several occasions and it's always been a great experience. I don't think I've ever dealt with a company that has so many people on staff with the level of technical experience that B&H has. They really know their products and have helped me out many times.
I have been buying things there for years. It's always gone well and the one instance where something was damaged on arrival they sorted it out promptly. This order was an assortment of odd's and ends I needed, filters, lens hoods etc. The prices were fair, everything was in stock and the 3 days freight was free. Hard to beat.

I'd been a customer for B&H for over 7 years. I like buying from them as they have great service. I always get merchandise delivered in reasonable time. In addition, it's nice to not pay sales tax as I live in California. That's considerable saving when purchasing expensive equipment like camera lenses or Apple products
B & H always has the best prices vs. buying in California, especially since when no sales tax is charged. But the online shopping is so easy too, can't wait to check out the store on my next trip to N. Y.
I've purchased many items from B&H through the years and have always received excellent service, good competitive pricing and no issues what so ever with the products shipped to me. I can't ask for much more from my source for photographic equipment!
As much as I love buying from a local camera store, a lot of the time the product has been opened/returned/used in some slight manner. Usually not a big deal until you consider how much you're paying for it. B&H because they are such a large volume dealer, never has this problem. The product you get is always brand new and in perfect condition. Add easy ordering and great customer service, and it makes me love them so much more =) Do yourself a favor and skip amazon and best buy and just do it right and shop here first.
Answer: ANy refurbished item we sell has been refurbished by the manufacturer or official US distributor, Nikon USA or Canon USA etc. Other used items are each rated on a numeric scale and we tend to be conservative so customers are not disappointed.

I am sorry you overlooked both these opportunities to correct any error. We shipped to the address you provided and regret it was not corrected when the opportunity was presented to you.
The order was shipped on 01/16. By the time you contacted us on 01/18 the package was in transit and it was too late to make the sort of adjustment you wanted.
