I sent of 2 cards to be graded and only 1 card came back. I had insurance on the card but the claim was denied by FedEx because Beckett could not prove they actually shipped the card. Beckett tried saying someone from FedEx stole the card out of the box but the box was completely sealed and Untampered. Now they want to give me back $122 VS the 1000 to 1500 dollars the card is worth and was insured for. I chose Beckett over PSA because I thought they were better. The graders that work for Beckett are obviously amateurs at best. I sent in a 2019 card that was not even a day old from a pack and the card was returned as "trimmed" cannot grade. Are you serious here? Who trims a 2019 card? The problem is I sent in a single card on a 2 day service and I did not spend enough money with them. Google this problem and it is well known in the sports card community. This company is only in to take your money.

Here is one for you. I have been a collector for over fifty years. Approximately 7 months ago I opened several of boxes which I had purchased over time. One was the 2000 contenders, and to my delight I pulled the Brady auto!
Beckett USE to be the place to get your cards graded, BUT OOOO HAVE THE MIGHTY FALLEN... My card was esnt back to me saying they would not grade it because it was FAKE... Mind you I opened the sealed box and ripped the card myself. I called customer service and I wish I got the name of the person I spoke with because there reasoning was... Panini puts fake cards in their packs. CAN YOU BELIEVE THEY ACTUALLY SAID THAT?
Bottom line do not trust Beckett grading, they are a mere shadow of their former selves... worse grading experience and customer service...
Silver lining here is that PSA slabbed the card as authentic... Beckett is joke and if you value your cards send them elsewhere...

I have been dealing sports and non-sports cards for decades and spent thousands of dollars over the years for books and magazines, etc. I tried Beckett Grading to have my 1980 Marvel Super Heroes Stickers. $162 for 13 stickers. They spend months holding on to them to THEN say they thought these were suspect and not officially a Marvel item! Fine. Since they don't know something as COMMON as Marvel items, just send them back and refund my money. Took a MONTH and had to do a BANK reversal to get my money back. Very condescending and rude customer service after THREE levels of asking for next level. The first three level of people had ZERO information on why my stickers were coming back. GMA and PSA have been MUCH MUCH better to work with for any and all grading.

The grades on cards were wildly inaccurate, much lower than they should have been. I tried another service with the same cards and felt it was much more accurate.

Well over a year ago I sent in some cards to be graded. Apparently sometime within those 12 months I lost the card I gave them. I got multiple emails and multiple phone calls over a 2 day period that I need to update my CC for payment. I emailed and called them back within few days and gave them my CC info. Two weeks later I realized I had not received the cards. Below is my email with his response. No wonder they get a 1 star rating.
Me:
You take a year to grade a few cards but you are in such a rush to get paid. I updated my credit card info to you 2 weeks ago. I paid you. Why has it not been shipped? This makes no sense. Send it already.
His response:
Any orders that are declined go on a problem shelve in the vault until they are paid. While we are waiting for payment other orders go in front of them. We ask for payment when the verification stage come up. Your order should ship between now and the end of October.(PASSIVE AGRESSIVE)

- SO THE CARDS WILL SIT ON A SHELF FOR ANOTHER 2 MONTHS. THAT IS 14 MONTHS TOTAL FOR 2 CARDS. DONT DEAL WITH BECKETT, USE PSA. SORRY PEOPLE LIKE CHARLES ARE WHY BECKETT GRADING IS A JOKE.

I ordered and purchased a LOA for a autographed helmet a while back NEVER EVER RECEIVED IT!

I grew up with Beckett magazine to look up current pricing. Twas a good mag. The site; however: when I first signed up you could see your organizer and all that it contained (without the price values), now if you don't pay for a service you no longer have access to your database or collections in your organizer. I called cs and went around with them, asked the guy a simple question: "So unless I pay for a service I can't even see my organizer, my collections, or the or the cards they contain?" the cs had me to wait, when he came back on and kept going over the pricing and subscription info. I said to him "you can't give me a straight answer? A simple "yes or no"? Again he attempts to go over the pricing of subscriptions, again I asked him the same question, this time he tells me he "can't answer a manipulative question" - now how the hell is that a "manipulative question"? This site (and company in my opinion) should be blacklisted, bankrupt, put down and shot like a lame dog. Poor business ethics, poor "sucker (customer) service"! Trash Site!...:: fuming:: I have right under $300,000 in cards in my organizer/collections and I can't even access it to see them, I'm not needing the pricing values, just to be able to see my database. > :( :( ... p.s. Having expensive things graded with Beckett is very often a bad experience. It seems that even though they've been around for so long, they do not understand the basics of how to ship expensive items. Shipping 101 is use sufficient padding and air pockets or any kind of protection to pad expensive items that can break. I know children who sell online who know this basic idea of protecting an item when shipping. But Beckett, run by a bunch of adults, does not have this concept. Oh and by the way when you receive your items back with damaged casing due to improperly protected items, they offer no compensation or anything to help mediate the inconvenience. They simply ask you to send it back with your next order. So they're pretty much saying if you give them more money then they will fix the problem. Otherwise they could care less about your problem. The representative I could tell, was not genuine and I could care less about my concern. I have received so many damaged casings from them in addition to lint and other particles or whatever getting trapped inside the case. I feel like their quality is getting lower and lower because they think that they are so safe sitting up on their high throne. Just wait till up-and-coming companies like CGC who actually ship their cards with care, come around and wipe the floor with them. Shame on Beckett for being "prestigious" Grading Company and not know the basics of shipping and customer service. The latter which can be learned by observing Amazon and how they do their business. Maybe you guys can learn something from them!

Joke of a company and the people that work there.

This has been the worst customer service I have ever had. I have tried for months to get my cards back but can't get in touch with anyone there. I was able to email a salesman but he keeps telling me I will be contacted by FRITZIE who now seems not to exist. I had autograph cards that were authenticated on the cards themself by pro set and embossed with special seal stating they were authentic. Well this was not good enough and I was told they had to be sent off for authentication. Even though the price was different to authenticate the same card signed by two different people I agreed to have it done. Now six months later I have nothing and can't get a hold of anyone except a salesman for new submissions who passes it off to FRITZIE and then nothing. NEVER TRUST THEM WITH ANYTHING I WILL BE FLYING TO TEXAS SOON TO GET THESE CARDS AND DEFINATELY WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. IF THEY OFFERED FREE GRADING I WOULD PASS ON THEM AND WILL NEVER BUY ONE OF THEIR GRADED CARDS AGAIN JUST CANT TRUST THEM HORRIBLE COMPANY STAY AWAY, STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE.

Beckett grading services unlawfully took money from my visa débit card this is called crédit card theft

If you're a Pokémon collector, do yourself a favor and get your cards graded by PSA because the folks at BGS are clueless about Pokémon. PSA $20 grading is really slow and $75 grading is expensive, so I thought I'd give BGS 5 day service at $40 per card a try. Boy was I wrong. I have a few dozens of the same card all fresh out of pack, and I picked out 6 of the best that easily would've been PSA 10's (I've graded enough with them to know what I'm talking about). All 6 came back as BGS 9.5. Two of them didn't score a single 10 sub score, and the other 4 scored a single 10 sub score. I thought it's probably impossible to score 10's with Beckett, but then I started to see BGS 10's of the same card on eBay. One seller listed 5 cards with consecutive BGS numbers; 3 graded BGS 10 and 2 graded stronger BGS 9.5's than mine. I looked at my cards under magnifying glass and there is absolutely nothing with the corners, edges, and surfaces. This leads me to believe my cards were graded by the same bad grader who had a bad day, and there was no second grader to validate the first grader's grades. So 9.5 and 10 is really a luck of the draw, but the price difference between PSA 10 and BGS 9.5 is humongous. I will have to crack the cards out of BGS slabs and resubmit them to PSA, and I wasted almost $300 between grading and shipping with Beckett. Never again though.
