Bavarian Clockworks

Good so far. Website is very informative compared to others. Now, just need to see how the shipping and receiving goes. Doubt there will be any issues.

Update. Delivery was quick, but there is room for improvement. When ordered, I never received any indication of when I could expect shipment or when I should expect delivery. I called to ask and got a recording that said someone would call back the same day and probably within the hour. No one ever called back. But, I did receive my clock three days later. Overall, delivery time was great, but if you say you will call back, I expect you to follow through and actually call back. That gap in customer service prevents me from giving 5-star rating.

Hope this gets here before Christmas. It's a gift for the wife:)

Follow up; I've ordered black forest clocks from two other well known vendors and the shipping was very long and very worrisome. That's why I said in my original comment that I hoped the clock arrived before Christmas. I normally give at least a month for shipping but it seems that even that's not long enough for most folks. I got my clock from Bavarian super quick and without the damage I've come to expect. The other two clocks I ordered from the other guys were damaged (but repairable) because the pendulum weights had come loose from their packaging during transport and beat the clock up pretty good. This clock came undamaged, delivered in under two weeks and even had follow-up emails making sure I was happy. Obviously, Bavarian gets my next order. I just wish I found them before using the other two very reputable black forest clock vendors.

Lots of decision points well covered in each item. I gave a 4 because your video doesn't work yet.

I was delivered the wrong unit. Upon advising the team, I was given highest prioity and shipped the right clock fed ex in 3 days in time for Christmas. While I was upset at the error (having wrapped the first one and put it under the tree) I was equally impressed with the concern and quality communications to get me the right clock. To me that's great service. Everyone makes mistakes! Merry Christmas.

This is the second clock I've purchased from Bavarian Clockworks this year. I've been really pleased with them. Cuckoo clocks are fragile and complicated, yet my 19" model arrived in great shape from Fittengen, Germany. I've never had a better shopping or customer service experience at any retail store.

I purchased my Black Forest clock while on vacation and could not get in touch with the vendor to explain a problem I was having with syncing the clock hour and cuckoo. I googled the this clock and found Bavarian Clockworks in Florida. I called and was immediately talking to Bob Ellis, an expert in this field with a obvious passion for what he does. I didn't even buy it there and was professionally walked through the process of getting my cuckoo back to working perfectly in about 10 minutes! I have always had a cuckoo clock in my life.When my last clock cuckooed it's last I was heartbroken. The service and choices at Bavarian Clockworks are excellent.

I was very happy with my experience with Bavarian Clockworks. From the information available on the website to help choose a clock to the quality of the product received, I couldn't be more satisfied. The clock was a birthday gift for my wife. When there was a slight delay in the availability of the clock I ordered, I posted a message on the website and received a call within an hour with an offer to upgrade my clock for free to make sure it arrived in time for her birthday. She chose to wait for the original order and it arrived within a week. The clock looks and works great! I would recommend this company to anyone looking to purchase a cuckoo clock.

I am so happy with my clock purchase from Bavarian Clockworks. My Dad was in the Army and stationed in West Germany when I was born in 1977 and my Parents bought a cuckoo clock for my Grandparents which as I grew up I was fascinated with. They didn't buy one for themselves so 1994 I bought one for them. They both passed away in 1995. A few years ago my Nana gave me her clock because she knew how much it ment to me. The only thing missing was my own cuckoo clock. So after a lot of research I called Bavarian Clockworks to ask a few questions about purchasing a clock through them instead of a different vendor and some restoration work to my Nana and Papa's clock. I spoke with Bob who was extremely polite, professional and helpful. Answered all my questions and gave me background information on the manufacturers of the model clock I was interested in. 1 week later direct from Germany was my cuckoo clock. In perfect condition, double boxed and bigger and better than I could have imagined. I would strongly recommend anyone looking to purchase a genuine Black Forest Cuckoo clock to purchase it from Bavarian Clockworks. You won't be disappointed, I most definitely am not. My clock was a big investment for me, but it is the heirloom I have always wanted. I now have my Grandparents, my Parents and my own cuckoo clocks hanging in my home. 3 generations of cuckoos starting from 1975.
