Complete rip off
January 6, 2024

Leads that lead to nowhere but cost you £10-£20 a pop! Don't even have the chance to sell to a client. Accounts get closed pretty soon after with the reason from bark that they likely went with someone else lol leads are not genuine and not contactable - avoid at all costs. Also on site saw duplicate leads - twice in a week! This outfit should be shut down.

We had our house cleaned by one of the bark cleaning ladies. She didn't speak English but that's OK we used an interpreter application. She did a thorough job and we were extremely pleased. Looking forward to her coming back next week, not enough stars

Total scam, avoid!

As a photographer I learned the hard way by succumbing to "So and so viewed your profile and wants to hear from you urgently." It doesn't follow that 9 out of 10 times my response goes unanswered, leading me to conclude that these were bogus prompts intended to hook me to buy more credits. It's a scam, there's no other explanation. I often asked myself, who goes to Bark in the first place? No one I know has ever heard of it. Most people just Google whatever they're looking for. The language on the requests is always curiously similar too. In hindsight, so many red flags, but I was hopeful that it was legit. Just another web scam. Lesson learned. Unless you enjoy losing money, stay away.

Pretty useless
September 1, 2022

Despite one company showing interest in my posted job there subsequent lack of contact leads me to believe this is an other useless company making promises it cannot keep. Gave them a chance and they failed miserably.

Zero responses. Leads come from obscure places. There is no way to verify those people. Their get hired guarantee is also a scam. They don't refund the money, only the credits, which then being reused prove useless.

Warning - Do not join Bark if you are in business, as they are complete rip off merchants - who generate false (and some real of course) Contacts using misleading information to benefit themselves. Waste of money.

With their keen "buy more save more" credit promotion, I spent too much on "points". The description says most jobs are 3 points, however, all mine have been 10-15. I did get a lead within a week, super excited! A party planner for a baby shower in chicago! My quote to her was around $2500 including decor, rentals and my fee. She came back and said she has a $500 budget and now I see its at a tiny park district South side of chicago. Very disappointing. I came here to check the credibility of Bark and after seeing all these terrible reviews, I wish I had no points left.

Found tradesmen for job very easily and set out requirements. Within 10 minutes two telephone calls - not pressuring simply asking for some more details. Received very good quote. Would certainly go through "Bark" again.

Needed to find two local tradespeople - one PC repair, one TV repair. I found each on Bark with very little fuss and both were excellent. Hard working, very polite, completing the jobs for a fair price. I may have been lucky but am very grateful.

Most of the leads on Bark are very low quality. Either tire kickers, businesses with little to no budget or bots/intentionally misleading requests. And for that you'll pay more than a useless lead is worth.

These people are thieves. They got my husbands credit card information from somewhere, and have been charging us money since 2 months. We didnt pay attention at that time. Recently when going through our statement we found this bark.com transaction on our account.
I was surprised, We never received their spam emails or anything ever.
After reading all these review, it is now confirmed these people are scammers and Thieves too.

Exceptional Service
October 2, 2020

Oven Genius Derek picked up off the Bark Website that I was looking to have my cooker cleaned. He phoned me within half an hour and we made an appointment. He arrived on time and did a superb job. Highly recommend. Previously phoned another 2 numbers one didn't rep! Y the other said was booked up till after xmas! Will definitely use again.

William and his dad cut down evergreen tree and levelled hedge...
Professional job... Arrived promptly... Took away cuttings leaving the garden as they found it... would recommend them.
Its refreshing to find someone who is straight talking and does what he says he will do... Good communication skills.

1 out of 10 leads are legit. Don't waste your money. Even the verified numbers are fakes. I will call verified numbers as soon as the lead comes in.(I am talking minutes after)
There is always no answer and even the text messages go unanswered. Border line scam stealing hard working entrepreneurs money and then selling you the lead at a premium... Do yourself a favour and invest in your own marketing tactics to acquire legit leads... I am pretty sure they have an automated AI submitting fake leads between the actual few real ones... This company needs to be investigated ASAP...

What at brilliant company after being conned out of £ 100 from guy and partner on facebook bark came along and matched me up with a lovely permanent wonderful gardener so thank you bark, and they do lots more than gardens all trades ect if you are vulnerable or not contact them they are magic

Well upon setting up my Bark account for catering and cooking class parties I started getting leads... out of 15 leads 10 did not fit my criteria and had false info within them and the other 5 were odd situations such as strange noises coming from phone and when a person answered one of them you could tell he had no idea what to tell me and I knew his answers were scripted... seemed as though the calls are set up and really no business to be generated here folks... save your money and time... SCAM 100%

We're sorry to hear that you haven't found our platfrom useful.

Due to us being an open public platform there is a certain amount of personal filtering that can help with these leads. By going to Settings, My Services and Filter Questions you can remove leads that include "other" and "I don't know" - essentially anything that makes the lead more vague or not customised for you. This should then mean you receive leads where the buyer has been specific about their needs which suggests they are fully aware of the service they desire. We always advise our professionals not to respond to vague requests, as this then prompts us to get in touch and prompt them to add more details.

This should make a difference to your only going for the right leads for you, and will help you go for the ones you want quickly.

We do also have a credit return policy for issues with leads, so please do report leads where you believe there is a problem and explain the issue you have had.

Dishonest and rude
April 30, 2019

I would highly recommend businesses keeping their money for other more legitimate lead generation opportunities. I have my doubts that Bark.com leads are even real- and even if some are, their advertising practices are completely dishonest and the customer service is literally the worst I have ever experienced. I've been LAUGHED AT by one representative and they've tried to have my poor reviews taken down on several websites-- which just shows how much they have something to hide. Definitely do not use this company!

You are charged more for those who supposedly have asked you to contact them. (Why the f don't they just look up my website and contact me?) The poorest leads possible, too far away or no interest/like I'm bothering them - one even hung up on me... like are you kidding?
If your sell is high in price, this construct works. I'm paying around $25 per qualified lead/i. E. converts but I'm having to spend a ton of phone time selling because there's so my competition.
If you can learn how to adwords right, it's far better because by the time leads contact you, they want to buy for the most part and the cost per lead is far lower.
Customer service SUCKS. You have the chance to write a personal message to the prospect when you sign up for a lead. On multiple times bark.com's system has dropped me and blocked this. Customer service could give a $#*!.
