" thank you for your patience, we are currently experiencing high call volumes" NO your just understaffed! All because you flagged a purchase as fraud when i have purchased from them hundreds of times! Still on hold for over 45 minutes!
Still on hold... Modify your pay structure and hire more people to deal with YOUR customers issues. Being on hold for over an hour now is ridiculous!
One star too many! Have had two business accounts with B of A for years. I made an honest mistake applying payment to wrong account and other became past due. Adam the "representative" could see I made a mistake, but had NO authority to make the adjustments, forcing me to pay the late fee and finance charge. We're done - closing 2 business accounts and 1 personal account. More callous than any bank I've dealt with in my +30 year business career; and I have done business or had accounts with at least 15 to 25 over that time.
Customer service sucks and very rude. I definitely will be taking my money somewhere else. I tried to call and let them know I was making a purchase that they kept declining for fraud. They can't verify $#*! now my baby will have to wait till in the morning to get formula. I am so frustrated and fed up with this bank.
They are useless, I'd give them 0 stars if I could. They just keep going around in circles and don't do anything to fix the situation that their system messed up. I
I was banking with them for years going to a different bank now. BOA is garbage.
I'm dissatisfied with their service completely. I just waited 40 minutes to get connected to a regular representative and then another 40 minutes to get connected to the Claims Department. It is impossible. Their customer feel themselves helpless and unfortunately due to their corporate policies no on is responsible for that. Actually, they are get paid to help customer but they are not doing this job properly. They are just gathering good reviews, not the bad ones.
They lie and manipulate their customers to charge them fees, so CEO', share holders, etc can line their pockets. Recently I made a 400 purchase, it was taken out of my account that day and in the course of 2 days, was credited back to my account so after I paid all my bills, they charged me again for the 400 dollar purchase. Now I went 400 dollars into debt because their dirty tactics. Nothing more than con artist and thief's. Closed my accounts today.
Applied for credit card online for balance transfer. Was quickly approved. Card arrived in the mail, I called number to activate but was told there is a block on it for fraudulent activity. Over the course of days I spent many hours speaking with at least 6 Bank of America customer care representatives plus went into a branch as advised.
Every single person I spoke to said they could not correct the problem with my brand new card, and they would transfer me to the correct department.
I finally called and canceled the card. I then easily obtained a credit card from a competitor.
BOA has a bad reputation for a reason. I will avoid Bank of America at all costs & advise others to do the same.
Why do you not automatically credit an account that was mistakenly double charged for a credit card bill? Why do I have to manually request a refund myself, and wait god knows how long for "processing" in between each stage?
On top of that, why is there no way for users to review if something like this has happened in the past? Was speaking to an agent and all they said was "we have no record of past duplicate charges" and they just LEFT without waiting for an opportunity to inquire further. Seriously?
Jesus Christ.
I've had an account with them for 6 years and u finally close mine. Each year I wanted to close it but kept putting it off. They make frequent mistakes with the available balance that cause the account to be overdrawn. Some times pending charges are not taken out of the available balance and then when the charges go through at once you are in the negative because you thought you had enough in your account. They love to charge overdraft fees and do not remove them if you call. With other issues as well such as faulty charges they have terrible customer service and have a hard time paying back fraudulent charges. 10/10 do not recommend, under no circumstances.
10 yrs with this bank, no over drafts.
Sent me an application for a loan of $500
Turned me down and did a hard hit on my credit!
Really after 10 yrs.
You guys are horrible and could care less about your customers!
Going on 15 days with no follow up after filing a claim for credit card fraud. After 12 days, I discovered that my initial fraud report did not result in an actual claim being opened. After 9 phone calls I finally got a claim filed. 7 phone calls were within 2 hours as I got transfered from one office to another. At one point I was transfered to a pipe fitting company that had no relationship with BOA. This is dreadful customer service and I'm considering switching to Capital One.
Tech support always transfers you over to a different representative until one eventually tells you that the solution to your problem is to walk into your nearest bank. Accounts suspended for no reason. Transactions block way too often.
I went in with 5 deposits from my job. I waited in line. When I was next the teller, his name is Cesar huffed and said this is going to take at least 5 minutes. He then started speaking Spanish to the people behind me and holding up my deposits and had a full on conversation with them which made him work slower. He made me feel like I was a huge inconvenience for him and was not nice. I will find another location to do business at and definitely will not be back to this location in Smyrna Tennessee
Don't ever use this bank! That's the minimum I can say to help you. Bunch of incompetent people that hang the phone on you, give you wrong information, hours on the phone and chats and then they close my account because of there incompetent! Now as a result my credit score went down 60 points. Will never use them again for anything!
Basic issue with credit card charge for a flight that was flagged/blocked by the BOA fraud dept. I was on the phone for over an hour and transferred to 4 different agents with no resolution. Absolute incompetence.
I have to wait about 10 minutes, answer 100 questions, then verify everything all over again when they finally do answer. Then they proceed to ask me questions they already know the answer to that wastes even more of my time and really makes me angry. Other than that they seem like an ok bank, and are very conveniently located all over my city. Real stingy about who they lend to though. They don't mind playing with your money and making money off of it while you're not using it. But when time comes for you to need some, expect them to run you through flaming 100 hoops, then tell you no, unless you have lots of money, then they'll give you some. This is not a bank for poor struggling folks like me. Poor people would be much better served by joining a Credit Union like I was wisely advised to by a close friend. They gave me $1,000 line of credit like it was nothing!
This bank is horrible. I have to make bank deposits for work and there were 17 people in front of me last week. There were only two tellers opened although there were plenty of other workers in the bank your lucky if they have 2 tellers. After I waited n line for an hour and five minutes to get waited on I was told they have no change. To anyone who is even thinks ng about opening an account there; Do Not!, You will regret it.
When I say worst possible service, I mean my car was broken into (police are involved and everything!) they have now denied my claim twice and took back the credit they originally gave me because apparently they have decided I gave permission to the person to break into my car and spend my money? Additionally, it seems every customer service rep I talk to just lies out there $#*! to get me off the phone. Saying they re submitted the claim only for me to call back two weeks later and they never even resubmitted it. Oh, and this is after waiting on hold for 20 - 40 minutes every. Single. Time. You. Call. Them.
Have banked with BOA for about 7 months now and regret ever switching to them. The govt should allow some financial institutions to go out of business and this is certainly one of them.
Bank of America should close their doors. My 94 year old mom has banked with BOA for over 50 years. First you can never call and speak with a representative at the location you use. Secondly, they closed the location she used and unfortunately she decided to continue banking with them so now I have to drive her over 10 miles to do her banking. And for me the straw the broke MY back... they closed the drive thru. BOA do you have any idea how inconvenient it is for a elderly person to struggle getting inside? Not to mention someone who is in a wheelchair and even a parent with small children. When I asked why they closed the drive thru I was told they didn't have enough staff to cover the window. Really? Shame on your greed BOA!
I want to started by saying don't apply for any loan with them. I applied 5 weeks ago I spent time getting all the information they need and finally today I got a 2 min call saying unfortunately we are not going to be able to process your loan due to you income. I asked them if I can use my son income and the answer was apply again and literally wait another 5 weeks I got 20 other offers and I refused waiting on them. They don't care about you they have plenty of customer and you are one more.
The person. Who called me is very rude and very unprofessional. I will end the review by saying I have been banking with Bank of America for the last 20 years
Answer: So many other and better banks please stay away from this shithole. Bank of america yup sounds about right. America..
Answer: Nobody at BOA can help me resolve this issue! Which is sad
