I have been using Bank of America for years now and was very happy. However, BOA hasn't yet realized that employees like Rachel Son threatening a very loyal customer with nearly perfect credit will cost them that customer. I intend to close everything I have with BOA. Being contacted and threatened by an employee whom isn't even informed on the situation isn't something I intend to deal with again. She doesn't want my money and perfect payment history, ok I'll take it back. Excellent business practice Rachel. Nice job.
Don't ever use this bank ever for anything. They make every step of any financial choices absolutely near impossible. It takes 2 hours just to make a car payment or credit card payment. Their app is a damn joke. I know 5 years that design better. None of my accounts appear in the same location on either their app or online. After 2 years of calling them to repair this they still haven't fixed it. I call in and get transfered to 8 or more representatives that act like it's my fault or hang up when u try to explain the problem. This happened Friday 7/21/2023 both being hung up on and getting a representative only interested in telling me the department I was holding for was closed after being on hold for 45 minutes on the 3rd call. When I chose this bank it was my single largest financial mistake. The fees they charge for their standard checking account are astronomical. This bank should never be used by anyone.
Just came to send a wire transfer and I'm being told there is a 3 hour wait. I have come to the bank at CC least 3 times in February and my shortest wait time was about 1.5 hours. Appointments are 7 to 10 days out so when the title company gives you the wire information you can't plan ahead. Seems like no sense of urgency here.
Most mismanaged financial institutions out there. Horrible customer service. Under staffed banks. Horrible communication. Whoever is in charge of this company would be better served as a street sweeper. Wish you could give less than 1 star. More like a negative star. Do everyone a favor and go out of business.
This sad remnant of a legacy bank is great for testing your patience. I long ago closed my checking account when they baited and switched on fees.
I thought they were OK for credit cards, but they have a bad habit of suspending the account for no good reason and making you validate yourself time and again. Maybe it's a desperate ploy to get more people to walk into their unattractive branches.
Received an offer of a $14,000 cash advance interest free through October 2023. I pay off my purchases on my credit card every month plus the minimum balance. They don't allocate my monthly payments to those balances so I get an interest charge. They could care less whether I remain a customer. The CEO will still get his millions in bonuses and will get bailed out when there is another banking crisis.
I have found this bank to have a better understanding of personal needs and requirements than many (over 6 different banks). They are well trained professionals that work as a team and focus on customer service.

Waited 8 1/2 minutes to the most obnoxious recording asking me the same questions over and over. But no answer I gave her seemed to satisfy. Near impossible to get to a real person. And when you do, you may be sorry. She was the rudest associate I have ever dealt with. I could not understand what she was saying and so she would yell and say "what I just told you." Very, very unfriendly, downright hateful. Will probably cancel this card because there is no customer service.
I'd give a 0 if possible. I Filed a dispute because a hotel charged me 3 weeks for a 2 week stay. With proper proof they still declined my dispute and put my account in negative and gave the hotel even more money. They told me there was nothing to be done that they concluded their investigation. What's the point of even providing proof when they refuse to be on the customers side? I've had nothing but ISSUES out of them since day one 2 years ago. Customer service SUCKS, and the bank is ridiculous. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone else again. This should be the next bank shut down. If they can't treat their customers right and do the right thing, they don't need to be open. I've had people say money comes out of their accounts with no description and random charges.
Absolute nightmare trying to use their credit card while traveling abroad. Let them know I would be gone for several months ahead of time, card was still flagged, and the only option to continue using it is to travel hundreds or thousands of miles to the the nearest physical location. Absolutely ridiculous customer service in the 21st century.
I contacted them in regards to an account that was opened in my name that I did not open. I've had to call 4 times because of them dropping the call everytime wether it be during conversation or call transfers. Everytime I call I have a minimum of 15 minute wait before answering and 10 minutes between transfers. When I have finally gotten through they treat my issue like it's no big deal. The account has been closed and that's where they leave it. I've worked to hard for my hood standing in the financial world to let some petty criminal destroy it and Bank of America has been no help what so ever. Horrible bank.
I've been with BOA for over 30 years. I missed the grace period for my CD so they changed my interest rate from 3.4 to 0.03 instead of their top interest rate of 4.89. I think is pretty sad that they treat a long time customer in this manner. This was a blatant attempt to rip me off! Being with them for 30+ years should have afforded me enough respect to get their higher rate without contacting them.
Problem solved, I'm moving my money to a different bank, perhaps one that like it's customers.
Very disappointed with this Bank after being a loyal customer for many years. I can't fathom how they treat their customers. Will be moving my accounts elsewhere. Poor customer service and pick and choose what they want to do. On top of that, they want to quote laws but can't tell you the exact law they are quoting to you for you to even look them up to see if they are telling the Truth.
Place holds on your account for days costing me money and then refuse to fix it. I am done..
I am power of attorney for an elderly parent in assisted living. Have been for 5+ years. Moved to PA where the closest atm of branch for deposits is 30 miles away. Tried to enroll in in line banking and cannot. Bank wants to speak with elderly parent who is unable to assist- hence having me as a POA. No help, no compassion, no assistance. Only thing left to do is close the accounts and rearrange all auto pays. Frustrated beyond belief.
Have only a credit and that's too much! Horrible service and getting worse. Have been a customer for a very long time; suspend their bill pay system as per a mistake making a payment and selecting the wrong (an old) bank account stored in their system. Payment was still made on time but the insanity in holding on the phone for hours and no help. Even the main menu when you call cant direct you past the basic stupid inquiries. Gone from ok, to bad to horrible! I will pay this card off and not look back!
After being incarcerated for 4 months I come to find out during that time Bank of America transferred all the money out of my bank into accounts I didn't have after filing a claim it took nearly 4 months for them to deny two claims after showing proof of incarceration phone and credit card locked up no way of making transactions from jail yet somehow nearly $2,000 was put into other accounts is your money really insured? No! Not only that they closed my account while I had fraud claims active
We've been a BofA business customer for years. At some point over the last year or so, BofA changed their policy to assess an overdraft fee on transaction that are processing. This has resulted in overdraft fees on items that never posted to the account. Although BofA has reversed the inappropriate charges, they count against adjustments they will do as a courtesy. Additionally, BofA no longer processes deposits and credits first. On the last overdraft charge there was a deposit wired on Friday 4/29. The detail description of the transaction on BofA site says 4/30 (Saturday) and yet the deposit was not credited until Tuesday 5/3 instead of the next business day which was Monday 5/2. Since there was a transaction processing on 5/2 an overdraft fee was charged. There was a time we were really happy with BofA. This policy change has resulted in poor customer service and we will be moving our business account
I found Bank of America's business banking services to be poor - there's a monthly fee regardless of what balance you keep, and there is a fee for inbound wire transfers. Moreover, it's impossible to get useful help on the phone. I'd bank elsewhere (trying Silicon Valley Bank at the moment... will review in a couple months).
So a month ago I have to go out of town for a few days and I get paid early the morning that I have to leave. I try to make a mobile deposit and it's rejected. The BOA app tells me there are NO branches and NO atms within 50 miles. I call in and get no help. They just inform me that I'm not aloud to make mobile deposits for ANOTHER 90 days. These clowns NEVER helped me, and now a month later they have the nerve to pretend they're helping me. They won't even communicate with me. They sent me an email requiring me to open a special account just to message. THEY CARE ABOUT NOONE!
Answer: So many other and better banks please stay away from this shithole. Bank of america yup sounds about right. America..
Answer: Nobody at BOA can help me resolve this issue! Which is sad
