Dittos on the other comments. I must have had a lapse in judgement for not seeking reviews before buying this. I couldn't even find myself in advance mode.
D I only been smart enough to read the reviews first I see that others feel the same way I do. Not only was the report a total waste. I knew way more info then they even came up with-but when you complain to them they lie to you. Their excuse was in the small print in the disclaimer that it states that not all states allow records check. Could they maybe list these states, no of course not. I have the feeling they would have to list the entire world and that no matter where to report was coming from you would get the same info I did. NOTHING Then the say they will apply a credit to your credit card for the amount you were ripped off. It takes them less then 30 seconds to e-mail you a bill and charge your card. But will take two or three days to seen the credit and a e-mail verifying that. It has been six days and is still charged on my account. Today they assure me I will see the refund credit to my credit card with in 24 hours. I'm not holding my breath, but if it's not all info will go to the BBB.
I signed up for a one time back ground check of myself. I noticed that I was getting monthly charges. Had to call the credit card company to get a refund. I'll repost if I ever get it.
I signed up for 30 days of unlimited reports priced at $22.95 - I wanted to run reports on my old classmates to see how many of them were still alive. Out of a clear blue sky the service locked up and I could get no more reports. I immediately called their telephone number *******027 I spoke with Kelly, and Ashley they both told me that the computer automatically thought I was a business because I was requesting numerous reports, so it shut me down, well, so much for unlimited reports. They also told me that the account would be reviewed which never happened. I called back and spoke with Brandon, he gave me the same line of Bull. Then I called again and spoke to James, he first started by telling me he would issue a 50% refund on my credit card, I told him B. S. your company did not live up to the terms which were unlimited reports so either issue a full refund or I will dispute the full amount with my credit card company, he said ok. Today I checked my Credit Card Account and saw the charge and disputed it. Ergo,, they are a bunch of lying sons of blitches furthermore, the information is totally inaccurate, I checked at least twenty individuals who I knew to be married and divorced, they showed nothing. I checked on myself and my previous marriage did not show at all. If you pay $22.95 you are paying for $1.00 worth of information, this is a total ripoff and these arssholes should not be allowed to do business anywhere.
Lies, lies, lies. Stay as far away as you can from this fradulent sceme. They lie on the website and lie on the phone. They will keep charging your'e credit card long after you cancel. Stay Away!
Ran a check on myself and there was no information and it even had my birthdate wrong. Terrible! Do not waste your money!
Forget that the information they supply is inaccurate, incomplete, and outdated The bulk of revenue this business takes in is literally STOLEN. As it comes from recurring transfers that the customer is unaware of and would never agree to. Their offer page goes way out of it's way to hide their true intentions and convince consumers it is exactly what it says it is. ONE Flat Payment For ONE Month, 3 Months, or 6 Months. Really simple right? None of that membership or free trial bullcrap! They should all offer this type of deal. Or so I thought.
When I get the confirmation email, it lists the transaction as recurring. WTF?
So I called customer service Why is this listed as recurring? I only needed the service for a few days. I did not and will not authorize recurring payments. I authorize ONLY the one payment already made.
I made it perfectly clear exactly what I did and did not wish to purchase.
Now im going over accounts for tax time and see that they went ahead and made recurring transfers anyway. 7 of them. I demanded they return my money and they reply «oh so SORRY you weren't PROPERLY ADVISED of our trial membership...» They are not in the least bit sorry, they actually COUNT on customers NOT being advised. Everything about their offerings of plans page is intentionally designed to hide this fact and they have every intention from the start to rip off as many people for as much as possible.
They have the nerve to say they are doing me a courtesy to return 3 of the 5 months stolen. They figure they stole it fair and square.
But they are wrong. NOthing is square, not even under scum bag scammer standards. Because I DID notice the «recurring transfer» in the confirmation email. Because I DID catch their scam before the second transfer was made. And I DID call them and UN-AUTHORIZE any future payments.
But they did it anyway. That puts them beneath the average variety of scum bag scammers.
What is BBB thinking accrediting this business? How on Earth can they give them an A+ rating? And Where did they find the 3 and a half stars from reviews that are 100% negative experience?
THEY are like EVERYONE ELSE, the LIE in their ADVERTISING. FREE ANYTHING IS A "STRETCH" free meds cost shipping and handling. FREE probaly means $$ involved! BEWARE!
SAVE YOUR MONEY! You will find more on Whitepages.com than this site. So bad of a scam it is embarrassing. No truth in advertisement. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCRAM
The person I asked about had committed a sexual offense and been married and divorced. They said he had done neither.
THIS IS A SCAM-- YOU GET THE SAME INFORMATION FOR FREE! WHAT BS SO PISSED! YOU PAY FOR NOTHING--DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION!
When I paid my dues for the information this site contained, I was overjoyed with the data I received. Although it isn't entirely complete, it provided some information to be used for my family tree. I was running report after report, confirming dates of birth, deaths, marriages, names of spouses, etc. True, the county courthouse where I live provided much of the same information for those living or married here but another avenue was required for those that didn't.
As I was busily pulling data, suddenly, the website would send me to the sign up page as if I had not paid for this service. Finally, I sent an email explaining that I was unable to pull a report or review one previously pulled.
I received an email from Risk Management asking me what I was using the information for and ordered to send a copy of my ID. I was happy to explain my purpose but refused to send an ID. Who are you, anyway? Now, I'm under suspicion of using this site for some type of illegal purpose. Don't ask me what because I don't know what I could do with this information as the majority of my reports were for deceased people.
A customer support specialist tells me I'm in violation of their TOS. I ask, "Why, from running too many reports? Your TOS does not state that the number is limited." They all act as if I'm suspected of some type of espionage and want me off the phone. "You have to deal with corporate", they say. So, again I write to Corporate asking why they blocked me and receive no answer.
I paid for this service, in addition, paid $19.95, for additional information only to learn that that amount was to be charged each time it was requested and wasn't for an absolute, complete report on all... they will not refund my money.
Do not use this site for Family Tree research or any other purpose that requires too many reports, as the end result is they grab your money and ignore you.
Cancelled my account before the end of the month and they charged me for the following month anyway.
Do not try it
It, s a scum. You will lose your money
Answer: They don't give you any information that you can't find with a google search. And that's free.
Answer: You'd have to ask that person. But I would guess they made a mistake.
