Wanting to use a local florist, not FTD or flowers.com,, I ordered off their website While I understand that substitutions may be necessary depending on availability, the arrangement that was delivered was not even close to what was ordered. The vase, the flowers, the colors, etc. In a case where it is going to be so drastically different, contacting me to discuss options would be appropriate. The square vase is what I ordered. The tall vase with ribbon was what was delivered. They are still beautiful, just nothing like was ordered.
I needed flowers delivered to my fiancé on NASP, I ordered a large bouquet for 100 dollars, I got the delivery confirmation text, but it never delivered. When I called 3 days later the lady said it was never delivered, and she would make me a new set and deliver it the next day. This was already a weekend and 2 days after our anniversary. I asked for a refund and she gave me my money back. I'll buy my lady flowers from a place that cares more about their work and their costumers next time.
These people don't have any flowers. They charge double and don't deliver any flowers at all. And when you try to find what happened to your order it's an endless loop of voicemails that end your call. Don't use this company.
Wonderful flowers & plants, a bit spendy. I understand the delivery procedures, 2 days late. Not acceptable to me.

TOTALLY SCAMMED by AVA'S! — placed an order to be delivered Monday, the day of recipient's birthday. I ordered My Sun, Moon & Stars bouquet. On WEDNESDAY the birthday girl received seven sickly looking roses, all different colors and nothing else with them in the vase. AWFUL! Contacted Customer Service numerous times with no response
I have read plenty of bad reviews on this company. One thing always comes up is cannot do that arrangement. We have to substitute? Terrible way to run a business.
Happy with delivery but when I was hit with a fee totaling almost 50% of my order at the end of a tedious online session, I went forward but thought "Shame!" Shame on this sneaky method of charging customers at the very end of the transaction.
Would've given 5 stars but balloons had Happy birthday written in Spanish I paid almost $150 for this order they should've gotten in right also ordered from this company earlier this month no problem. Will change to another company going forward because consistency is important to me.
Avas is the place to order from if you have money to burn and want to be disappointed. At first they added an extra $25 "miscellaneous" charge that I wasn't able to see until they authorized my credit card. Then they weren't able to deliver the flowers as promised. They did refund my money and if you ever need flowers in the Sarasota/Venice area order from Happy Flowers. Ann the owner is a delight!
Ava's Flowers used a shady florist from another state to fill the order. Mai Flowers Bill gave us a small arrangement with only 7 roses in it when we paid for a large arrangement that should have had a dozen. The lilies were brown and wilted! When we tried to call upon delivery, the owner would not answer the store phone and there was no answering machine. The store was effectively closed for the rest of the day from 2 pm on. We asked the delivery person to have the owner contact us, which she did, and she forwarded to us the owner's response to her which said she would not call us back and instructed the delivery person to just ignore us as well. She (owner) said we could contact Ava's Flowers, as she was just the one who fulfills the order and thus not responsible. Ava's is NOT a local florist, contracts with shady, bargain basement businesses and is not responsive to customer service issues. Their advertising is intentionally misleading to cause consumers to believe they are doing business with a local florist. This is a shady company!
Flowers were great. Very pleased with the arrangement and quality. Balloons really helped for the occasion.

It was a gift so I never saw the arrangement but my sister loved them. Daisys are her favorite. Delivery went without a hitch
My flowers I ordered were exactly what i wanted - beautiful! They were delivered the same day when I placed the order. The website made it very easy to place an order as well. Thank you!
Prior to placing my order the confirmation page indicated a $24.95 Service Fee for a total billing of $107.44 which I felt was excessive therefore, did not confirm my order at which time an offer popped up for a $5.00 discount... after confirming the $5.00 discount the Service Fee increased to $28.94 for a total billing of $106.34, which in essence gave me a discount of $1.10, which made no sense to offer me a discount! (Unfortunately I was ordering for a funeral therefore, had no choice but to confirm and accept the billing)! The minor discount amount is not the concern, rather the bait and switch tactic of price swapping which is unacceptable. (Original confirmation and final billing attached, showing both fees as described above).
If this was not frustrating enough, a replacement planter was received in lieu of the floor plant that was ordered! I specifically searched for a floor plant and selected a Dieffenbachia Plant ($74.99) and received a table planter with mixed plants instead. As a positive, my order was received on time and the planter received was very pretty. I completely understand the occasional need to replace an item if necessary although this in no way resembled my original order and the planter received was not comparable to the original value of the plant ordered. Furthermore, the site should not have accepted my order for a plant if it was unavailable.
I received an immediate email after the delivery requesting my feedback of which I replied and explained as such although have yet to receive a response from this business!
I ordered flowers and balloons 3 days ago to be delivered today. First, when I got the invoice I was noticed that the order was wrong. I called multiple time=s and was hang up on multiple times. I ordered 24 pink balloons and 1 mylar balloon for a total of 25 balloons and 2 dozen pink roses. The order came as 1 mylar balloon and 12 mylar ballons. I called again and again because they keep hanging up when they put me on hold. They finally resolved the issue by telling that I will not receive the balloons and that they will deliver an AVAS basket instead 4 days later and that they will refund me 45% of my order but they only refunded me $58 of my $277 order. They refunded me what they over charged me for and not delivering my 25 flowers. This is the worst company ever. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY IN THE FUTURE! This is a scam!
I was pleasantly surprised at the beautiful arrangement. This was hassle free. The experience left me happier than with the bigger National companies. Buy local!
Answer: It's a scam. Very dishonest company. They advertise with a very detailed picture of their flowers, sizes and pricing. When my daughterv received these flowers they didn't look anything like the picture online. I wish I could attach a photo from my galleria for you to see. The picture tells the true story
Answer: I thought they were a local florist. Bc when I typed in the city and Avas Flowers popped up. They are NOT a local company and they are NOT a florist company per se. The Real business name is Flowers Tech Center, Inc... doing business as Avas flowers. They are out of New Jersey and they contracted florists in your local areas nationwide. They don't make the bouquets and the ones on the website are nowhere near to what you're getting. Which is CRAP! LEFTOVER flowers thrown together LAST minute and supposedly delivered fresh from their warehouse. FRAUD & SCAMMERS! Use your local florists or buy them from your grocery store which would be much better and NOT costly. Save yourself time, money and headaches from rude customer service reps and all you get is the run around and lies.
