I couldn't be more disappointed with this 'service'. First, they do some kind of trickery to make you think this a local florist in the area. I found out after placing the order that this is national flower store like 1-800-FLOWERS. While shopping I picked out what I wanted and they quote a price. You go through the process of putting in all the details, delivery address, credit card info, etc, etc and then on the last step they inform you that there is $25 'service fee'. With the service fee, their flowers are more expensive than other flower sellers especially local flower shops.
They also bungled the delivery really badly. They were supposed to deliver on Monday and my fiance's work. Her closes at 5pm and Ava's wanted to deliver it at 6:30pm. I called and explained and they agreed to cancel delivery since the place was closed and deliver the next day. Monday night I got a notification that the flowers were delivered. They weren't delivered. Tuesday, they weren't delivered either. I filed a complaint and Wednesday, they confirmed it had not been delivered and that they would deliver it Thursday. Today is Wednesday, maybe it will come tommorrow which would be 4 days late. At this point, I'm not betting on it. I only know this is the plan because I've had to call them 4 times. Their customer service is horrible too. They go out of their way to make it difficult to talk to someone and they just keep redirecting you to their website and that was telling me incorrect information.
Avoid this place. It sucks.
Ordered flowers on Tuesday for a Friday delivery. Couldn't do it. Told me they would upgrade boquet for inconvience, delivered one smaller then what I ordered. Do not use.

I ordered Flower Floral Harmony Bouquet "LUXURY GRADE" Added 10 latex balloons, 4 Mylar ballons, a card Fullsize greeting card, large box of chocolate, and a Large Teddy Bear. To the tune of $243.00. Im in Iowa for work and this was for my wifes Birthday. What showed up was, a small Bouquet of flowers, hardly any thing close to "LUXURY GRADE" (I have Pictures). The Teddy bear smelled of Cigarette Smoke so bad My wife had to run it in the washing machine, 4 latex Balloons(I ordered 10), and 3 Mylar Balloons (ordered 4,2 I Love You and 2 Happy Birthday). And for the Card I paid for they gave here a Piece of Paper. Now no one answers the phone, the machine asks you to type in a number for a call back, machine called back and then it hung-up.
I ORDER FLOWERS FROM AVAS THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DELIVERED FOR MY GODMOTHER'S FUNERAL I HAVE AN EMAIL STATING THAT THEY WERE DELIVERED CONTACTED THE FUNERAL HOME NO FLOWERS WAS OVER THERE ON THE DAY OF MY GODMOTHER'S FUNERAL THE FLOWERS STILL WASN'T THERE SPOKE WITH SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO CALLED THEIR SELF TRACKING DOWN THE DELIVERY PERSON THE LAST PERSON I SPOKE TO STATED THAT MY FLOWERS WOULD BE DELIVERED BY 2:00 P.M. MY GODMOTHER'S SERVICES WAS AT 11:00 A.M. I EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT THERE WAS NO NEED TO DELIVER THOSE FLOWERS SINCE BY 2:00 P.M. SHE WOULD BE LAID TO REST I HAVE TWO DIFFERENT DELIVERY DAYS FROM THIS COMPANY I SPOKE WITH THE FUNERAL HOME I SPOKE WITH EVERYONE IN THE FUNERAL HOME THEY SEARCHED THE FUNERAL HOME MY FLOWERS WAS NEVER DELIVERED NOW I'M GETTING A RUN AROUND ABOUT GETTING MY MONEY BACK FROM THEM WHICH WAS $152 I WOULD ADVISE ANYONE AND EVERYONE DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE BECAUSE THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS THEY ARE THIEVES AND THEY DON'T DELIVER ON THEIR PROMISE
I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered... it was a 75th Birthday gift... I was assured that the azalea plant was in stock and would be delivered the next day (on her birthday) An azalea Bonzi (NOT WHAT I ORDERED) was delivered 4 days later, the plant was wilted and in bad shape when it arrived. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
My word of advice don't order on line or 800 flower. They do not care about your best interest. Order from a real flower shop.
Don't use this company! They buy gas station flowers and charge you $130 for delivery and then not on the correct date ruining the occasion!
I wanted to purchase something special for my Godmother who is 98y/o. I wanted to make her smile and be happy since this may be the last Christmas she is here with family. I found a beautiful arrangement at AVAS Flowers that I knew she would love. So, I purchased the DELUXE arrangement. First, I was shocked seeing that there was an additional fee of $17.95 as a Service Fee, God only knew what that was for! Next, I received an email from AVAS requesting I call the Customer Service because there was an issue with the arrangement. They were out of berries so there would be a delay in Delivery [after Christmas]. Okay, things happen and at least I was happy to hear that "they cared" about what they provide to their customers. Well, my Godmother received the arrangement on the 26th and her daughter sent me a picture of what it looked like. OMG – I was so embarrassed! I didn't even look like a $15 arrangement you could get at a grocery store! Hardly any berries, huge bow to fill in the empty spaces. I will NEVER purchase from or recommend AVAS Flowers to ANYONE.

DO NOT use this service! It's expensive & they don't come through. Paid for expedited service and the flowers weren't delivered until the next day, AND only after many phone calls made to their customer service. They argued and fought with the sender and the recipient stating the recipient wasn't home (completely untrue) so they couldn't make the delivery. Asked for a refund and to cancel, they would not even consider it and argued about it. Demanded a cancellation and refund the next afternoon when the delivery had not been made - they still would not entertain the idea. I offered to go pick them up. I was told they didn't have the information on the local shop that was to be delivering them so I couldn't go get them.
They had our money and they were keeping it.
We googled them to see what others had to say. Interestingly, Ava's Flowers answers the question - is Ava's Flowers a scam. They say NO with a lengthy explanation of their 'business' and it's growth. Growth made by taking people's money and refusing to deliver the product or provide a refund.
When they finally arrived, it wasn't what we ordered. Understandably there are changes to flowers and such. The balloons aren't mylar as pictured, they are latex. Paid $5.00 for a large card and received the normal bouquet card. There's just a bunch that went wrong here.
Do yourself a HUGE favor and look up local florists in the area you wish to have flowers delivered and use them directly.
I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone, ever.
My husband has had a colon resection and my work sent a vase and 10 stemed Sunflowers to our house - I received 10 DEAD flowers and a Vase. I called customer service and asked if they could resend me some live flowers - I was told NO - however, they would let me BUY another arrangement at 50% off. I explained these arrived dead and were a get well gift. I asked to talk to a manager and they said they would have a manager call me back - NO CALL BACK. I called my work and had them dispute the charge on their credit card as they shouldn't have to pay for DEAD FLOWERS. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, they should be ashamed!
On July 6,2017, I ordered a standing funeral spray, to be delivered for the viewing on July 7,2017. I indicated in the instructions that the viewing was on July 7, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the funeral on July 8,2017 at 2:00 p.m.
On July 7,2017, I checked the status and was advised the flowers were on the truck. On July 8,2017, I checked the delivery status and was advised that the delivery had been rescheduled for July 10,2017. I explained that I ordered a standing spray for a funeral today. I was told the flowers would be delivered to the familys home. When I remarked why anyone would send a standing spray to a home, I was asked if I would rather have a fruit basket. When I informed the representative that my cousin lived alone and there was no one at her house to send a fruit basket to, this person replied where would you like us to send it. When I requested a refund this person indicated he would see what they could do.
I was subsequently transferred to a supervisor who asked if I wanted flowers delivered to a different location. When I responded no, I was asked if I wanted to cancel my order. Cancel my order, didnt that happened when the company failed to deliver the order as promised. I am not sure which was worst, that this company failed to deliver flowers to the viewing, the funeral, provided no notification until I inquired or their nonchalant attitude towards the entire ordeal.

That prompted me to order flowers for my daughter-in-law's birthday. I live in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, and I was lead to believe that the flower shop was in Wake Forest, N. C. where she lives, which has a population of about 44,000. On the web site, same day delivery is advertised. I ordered the birthday flowers on Sept. 27 for delivery on Sept. 30. At about 3pm on Sept. 30th I received a call telling me that the driver had gone out for the day and the flowers would not be delivered until October 1st. NOOOO! Why can't someone just drive them over, or send them by Taxi or Uber? There was a language barrier with the person to whom I was talking. When I asked her if she was the proprietor, she did not seem to know what I meant. The order had been expensive…with the total cost being about twice what the original cost had been. No compensation was offered. When I said that it would be good business practice to offer compensation, a $10 discount was offered… and then $20. I thought a 50% refund would have been more appropriate. No. Really? Didn't Ava's breach their contract which stated same day deliver?!
I canceled my order and I'd better see the amount come off my card. No compensation was offered. I will NEVER order from Ava's again. I then called customer service and was offered canned platitudes that seemed to have been read from a script. No sincerity and no offer to compensate. I would advise customers to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

It was horrible. They charged my husband for a gorgeous arrangement what I got looked like a child arranged it. Worst florist ever.

Answer: It's a scam. Very dishonest company. They advertise with a very detailed picture of their flowers, sizes and pricing. When my daughterv received these flowers they didn't look anything like the picture online. I wish I could attach a photo from my galleria for you to see. The picture tells the true story
Answer: I thought they were a local florist. Bc when I typed in the city and Avas Flowers popped up. They are NOT a local company and they are NOT a florist company per se. The Real business name is Flowers Tech Center, Inc... doing business as Avas flowers. They are out of New Jersey and they contracted florists in your local areas nationwide. They don't make the bouquets and the ones on the website are nowhere near to what you're getting. Which is CRAP! LEFTOVER flowers thrown together LAST minute and supposedly delivered fresh from their warehouse. FRAUD & SCAMMERS! Use your local florists or buy them from your grocery store which would be much better and NOT costly. Save yourself time, money and headaches from rude customer service reps and all you get is the run around and lies.
