AT&T Reviews Summary

The reviews reflect a predominantly negative perception of the company's overall reputation and customer service. Customers frequently express frustration with long wait times, ineffective support, and unresolved billing issues, leading to a sense of distrust and dissatisfaction. Complaints about unauthorized charges and poor communication from representatives are common, suggesting systemic problems in service delivery. While there are occasional mentions of product reliability, the overwhelming sentiment indicates that customers feel neglected and undervalued. This pattern points to a pressing need for the company to improve its customer service protocols and enhance accountability to regain consumer trust.

My Internet was down and after an hour on the phone I was transferred to tech support. They offer free home security equipment and I kindly refused and said I don't won't to add a bill. The AT&T tech service hung up on me. I called back and told the lady what happened. She told me At&T employees cannot transfer customers to tech support so we cave to call and then she hung up on me. I was with Verizon for 15 years and this is why I left them. No one I have felt with through AT&T customer support has helped or fixed an issue. It's sad and pathetic

What customer service?
November 4, 2020

After 25 minutes on hold for customer service I gave up. Att we pay you for a service and you take advantage of that. Extremely disappointed that a phone company doesn't have anyone answering their phones. Your an embarrassment

I have been a loyal AT&T customer for over years and years. Recently, I made some changes to my account and the representative clearly told me that there are no changes with my bills. I received a bill with a double amount of the bill I would have paid. Called customer service and the representative was so rude and refused to solve and understand my issue. I am not shocked that many other customers have the same issue. Never going back to AT&T.

Terrible, I was lied to in every aspect. I switched from Verizon because they said bill would be $20 a month cheaper than Verizon when regular bill takes place in a couple months. Ended up at the same price. While I was waiting for my first normal bill, I was talked into getting AT&T TV with salesman saying that it required one box and my other TVs would work with Roku, went home set up with box and found that it didn't work with Roku. Returned next day and cancelled TV service only to find that they continued billing me for 6 months. I will switch to another carrier as soon as I can and never deal with AT&T again.

We have been customers for over 10 years. No issues, really. Until a few months ago when two personal email accounts have somehow become connected. Only one person can log in to their email at a time. When they can't and need to reset the password, the passwords on BOTH accounts are washed. Once you log out, you need to call them AGAIN to reset the password. This is turning into a daily basis! 6 times so far today and I have been "disconnected" 3 times! THEN, I receive an email stating our account has been removed and cancelled but when I call, they say it's still active. I am losing our on job opportunities, requests for interviews, ect because I cannot log in! I have had enough!

The techs literally showed up 15 minutes early at one location I work at and 45 minutes early at the other location I work at and canceled the tickets claiming no one was there. Well yeah no one was there because you came during closing hours! Then they hang up on you when you're on the phone and try to act like it's your fault when the tech person came outside of the ticket hours hat were scheduled! I wouldn't even give them one star! Except that I have to in order to post this review!

I sold my house on Oct. 30. I canceled my service on Oct. 29, however they will not cancel until Nov 20. They said because of billing. However the new owners work from home and would like to have ATT. They told me they can not have it until Nov. 20. This is crazy. I talked to 5 people and all told me the same thing. I would never use ATT again. They said they do not prorate I said ok I will pay just let the new owners hook up with you. They said cant do it. SO BEWARE

Terrible customer service. The overseas rep who sold me my new phone assured me that I would keep the same features with the upgraded new phone. Now I am told that to add back the hotspot, which was on my previous plans for many years, now will cost an additional $10. So I am starting to shop for new companies and open to new cell phone company suggestions.

Unfortunately, AT&T decided to increase their profits during a time when people rely on communication more than ever. COVID-19 has hit us hard both economically as well as socially.
My bill this month went up almost $40.00 do to AT&T raising their prices, and removing their discounts and promos. They offer no additional data or perks for the extra charges.
This company has taken advantage of their customers at a time when we need them most.
After being a customer for over 60 years, I said farewell to AT&T. This was no time to increase your profits at the expense of loyal consumers.

I've called countless times and out of about 15 people only about 2 of them gave me quality customer service. I had an issue with my service where I couldn't use my phone due to service issues. But I didnt know that till about 15 days out after reaching out to them countless times. One woman even told me I had to figure it out myself. I do not recommend being that the customer service is very poor.

I used to like DirecTV!
September 29, 2020

DirecTV was a good service until they merged with the AT&T company. Ugh. Now DirecTV has gone downhill, as you'd imagine. They sold out, basically, to the corporate greed of AT&T.

I called them today to fix my DirecTV account, which they'd shut down due to no payment. One check my dad sent them a few months ago never arrived, and he wrote another check and mailed it five days ago. The customer service was terrible. They said it can take TWO WEEKS from date of mailing a check for it to post as a credit to your account. TWO WEEKS. They said they wait for the check to clear. I wound up frustrated, and I canceled our service. Now, as I type this, my dad's up here in my room watching the presidential debate on my TV, which gets antennae service. Tomorrow, we're getting a setup delivery from the cable company. AT&T is a truly evil company. Today's incident wasn't isolated. Their customer service is a joke. For one thing, they kept transferring my call to a different department. For another thing, they NEVER offered to get a credit card payment from me of the minimum needed to restore service. They never suggested it. They were too focused on telling me that I have to suffer because they haven't received my dad's check yet. Fortunately, cancelling was easy. Hopefully my dad will stop payment on what he owes this awful company. He's 75 freakin' years old. He shouldn't have to deal with this sort of garbage, and quite frankly, neither should I. Old people like to pay by check--geez, AT&T, sue us. Notice in the screenshot where the first person I interacted with said, "Thank you for your understanding and I hope you will not take it against me." I knew that was the beginning of the end.

Unfair practices
September 27, 2020

For 5 months they were charging me for Internet services which they never provided and when I disputed their Internet bills, they disconnected my Directv while the Directv services were fully paid and the TV and Internet services were never bundled. This what customers get when Feds allow the merging of AT&T and Directv.

Two weeks a go I bought a long charging cable for my iPhone from the ATT store at 1800 N federal hwy pompano beach, fl
Along with $50 of other stuff. I have purchased 2 phones from this store over the past few years.

The charging cable fell apart after 2.5 weeks. Both schmucks in the store told me they didn't cover damaged cables. They never even looked at the cable! They blamed me for damaging it. It has an open circuit and doesn't charge. Both Josh and his manager were rude and told me they are willing to loose a long term Customer over a $10 cable

File this in the "CAN'T FIX STUPID CATEGORY!"
The lack of service and rudeness is mind blowing

So glad I got rid off them
September 23, 2020

Bad experience from start to finish. Service charges are uncompetitive compared to other carriers, bogus access charges, international data service is a total rip off (look at google Fi, for example), international roaming - be ware, if you are abroad and receive calls which you don't pick up- still charges appear, $3 per call, spam calls, anything. At the end, they charge you monthly for their services in advance, and if you disconnect them, you still need to pay in advance for the last month even if you don't use it. Otherwise late fees. Cannot dispute or argue anything, cannot contact them by email, must call, must speak to 5 service reps, because no one knows what's going on, must waste hours on the phone, ruin your day. Wish those clowns learn someday how to do business right, its competitive now, and not America of 70s.

Death Threat To Child
September 21, 2020

AT&T technician and Vice President Of Inglewood Chargers Youth Football Organization, Christopher William Parr, 1-31-1964 -*******447) retaliated against a mother on FB over a comment she "liked" about somebody named Brinona Taylor. In his own words as shown in the image he told her he searched her FB page and found her address on Google and threatened to shoot her "small child". When I confronted Christopher in FB messenger he went off on me in an angry hate filled, radical racist rant in which he wrongly assumed I was White, I'm not. He also went on to explain that he was avenging the death of Brionna Taylor and his cousin who had been shot by the police 12 times. I have images of the entire documented text exchanged saved. I have also sent this image of the death threat out to numerous media outlets in the Los Angeles area and have alerted all law enforcement, local, state, county, and federal. I can be contacted any day after 1:00 PM Eastern Time if you have any questions or need any additional information including images in Christopher William Parr's own words. Image of death threat and other photos for identification uploaded below.
