Be advised, I was suckered into the Asurion warranty. They told me there would not be any hidden fees, just your monthly membership fees covers it all. Went to make a claim on a handheld switch game. The red tape and hoops to jump threw were ridiculous. All kinds of emails with tons of things to fill out. Then the grand scam cost….$99 service fee! It only cost $99 to repair glass as a walk in non member. Why bother w the membership that rips you for $300 a year. Stay away!
I purchased a protection plan because I had never used earbuds. They worked well for about 8 months and then stopped working. Asurion guided me through filing a claim and refunded the purchase price with an Amazon gift card.
It is good to have the protection plan that covers damages other plans do not like cracked screens. Like all insurance must pay monthly and there is a deductible for replacement but $29 for repairs. Cool thing is the technician comes to you. Wish it was free replacement though for what we pay monthly other than that I highly recommend having it.
I registered last year in autumn. I brought in a Dell computer, they had me mail it to get fixed, assuring me that if they could not fix the issues, I would receive a voucher for the value of the computer for the year of the model. None of that happened. I received the item back, as is, stating unfortunately, we do not repair this model, although it has Windows 10, they stated also it did not... Such a waste of time and money every month + having to pay $99. For each repair.
The people were curious and respectful. Explained exactly what was wrong and they could fix in two hours.
They delivery top notch warranty service. Their technician Marco is well trained and experienced. He showed up on time and was neat, courteous and extremely knowledgeable about his trade.
Working in service industry myself, I have a tough grading scale for service techs, I give Marco a 11 out of 10 stars. To Asurions credit they hired a real pro with Marco. I would not hesitate to use Asurions warranty services for any other products I have.
I have a LG double oven range that had multiple failures. Marco repaired my range that will be 6 years old in January 2023 and made it work like new. Awesome job and many thanks to both Asurion and Marco.
There had been a busted pipe in ceiling drowning my 2 year old range. I called GE and they referred me to a third party. Then remember I purchased an extended warranty with Home Depot. I received outstanding customer service. A&E Service arrived to evaluate range. The serviceman knew all about the appliance. Took it apart to make sure no water damage had been done to electronic control,, circuit board, fan etc. tested temperatures and cleared range to use. His knowledge and work history put me at ease. Early in my career I was a utility Home Economist and we discovered he had done training classes I attended. He was a good resource the and still is. I recommend everyone buy an extended warranty as Home Depot stands behind the warrenty.
When I initially filed the claim. I'm not kidding the very best in telephone customer service responded. To the bosses please look up the two reps who answered the first one we disconnected and she made sure my information didn't get lost and made it extremely easy for the rep who I ended up talking to when I called back to help finish
I insure many purchases because unfortunately we live in a disposable society and it is not uncommon for a small appliance, TV, computer, tablet etc. to fail within a couple years of purchase. Most recent experience was with a child's tablet. It was broken in a matter of days and Asurion claim took all of 10 minutes to complete for a full refund.
Purchased two 100 foot garden hoses and paid for an extended warrantee. Did not receive it. Went on the chat line and explained

I was concerned with my new phone, primarily because my photos had not shown up. Jamil assured me that the photos would show up eventually, but that it might be an hour or so before they appeared on the new phone. Jamil was a very pleasant person to talk to, and I felt like I was talking to someone I had known for a long time. He has a very positive disposition and seems to know how to do his job really well. Customer Service can be challenging, but Jamil seems to enjoy it, and he reflects that back to his Customers. Me, in this case! We had an enjoyable and very encouraging chat.
Everyone working inside of the store was wonderful, friendly and helpful! I had a small issue where my fingerprint sensor wasn't calibrated correctly, but when I called them about it they immediately apologized and offered to fix it for me if I brought it back. Took maybe five minutes and now it works perfectly! Would definitely recommend.
Submitted a claim over two months ago and recently heard that the device i wanted to replace was ready to be shipped and all that was required was to confirm my identity but after confirming it was me their website error messaged and now it says the device is on back order again. This would be fine except all of the asurion customer support is automated and whenever I get to a rep either through my cell provider or through their number it is always followed by a redirect and almost an hour wait while im mislead by robo assistants who pop up from time to time. Honestly Im ready to just buy a new phone at this point instead of deal with their ineptitude and total disregard for person to person customer service.
I have a device that quit working on me and I went on here because of the protection plan I had and I chatted with a guy named Rolando he was fabulous it didn't even take 15 minutes and he filed my claim and had it approved. I am very satisfied once I send item back then I will receive a e-gift card for the price I paid to be able to purchase another one. Thank you
Pleasantly surprised at the short amt of time it took to set up my new phone and recover my old data, particularly because my other phone was lost. My Tech Coach Ms. Rae talked me through it step by step, much more patiently than my husband ;) Saved myself a trip to the Verizon store and waiting in line for in-person help. Highly recommend trying this yourself with the assistance of the live chat option. Well Done.
Techs came out twice and offered flimsy excuses each time as to why ghey could not fix a microwave that Samsung approved repair of. Excuses included... Need to order part, 2-man job, physical damage, owner not home (consenting adult was).
This is a sham. They collect money from Samsung but do not do the repairs.
Michael helped me and made it an extremely enjoyable experience while he resolved my issue! Having a personable individual on the other end makes the hassle (minor in this case but still) seem like it wasn't even there in there first place!
It was a great experience. Filled out my claim form online, replacement phone arrived the very next day. Backed up, reset and boxed up old phone and packaged with their instructions and took to the ups store. So easy and fast.
After my son lost his phone we panicked thinking about how much it cost us and now we would have to pay for a replacement. Then we realized that we had purchased Assurion insurance. I placed a claim and received the new phone in less than 2 days. Amazing value. No questions asked by the company. I was expecting to be interrogated or some kind of push back but no, it was quick and fast. I'm still in disbelief as to how awesome this company is.
I paid for my replacement and my claim was "approved". July 20/21. Today is Aug 14, so almost 4 weeks later and I have yet to receive my phone. I've called 3 times and that got me absolutely no where. "Wait for a shipment tracking number within 24-48 hrs" and that keeps coming and going. I got a supervisor last wednesday and assured me someone else would contact me within 48hrs. What an absolute joke. I'm going to contact my cell provider Monday and see if they can help. Its a good thing my phone isn't totally dead. Will absolutely never get the protection again.
Answer: Asurion insurance is who: Cricket Wireless, Verizon, & most remaining cell phone companies are with now! Just be careful b/c they are IMO SCAMMERS that will get you at one time or another!
Answer: Well, when that happened to me they sent me their IMO SPYWARE phone by the next day. I think it was like twenty-five days for my phone! I hope you kept your charger, case, & took the cards out of your phone first!
