I can't say enough good things about Virginia! She listened to all of my concerns and needs for my loved one! She set up tours and honestly the first one we visited was the one! She encouraged me to tour all of them just to be sure, they were all amazing and all met our needs so it was a hard decision but she helped us choose the one best suited for our needs. We are really grateful to Virginia and A Place for Mom
A Place For Mom was recommended by a hospital employee. Once I reached out to A Place For Mom I was immediately taken care of. The staff was very prompt in responses. They were full of very helpful information. They made the process of finding a facility for my mother-in-law much less stressful.
We toured four facilities in one day, two recommended by A Place For Mom and two that my brother-in-law found on his own. The two facilities recommended to us by A Place For Mom were the only two facilities worth consideration. Clearly, they have standards that they uphold that help weed out less desirable communities. They maintained contact and followed-up to make sure adequate tours/service was provided.
I put in my information on the Monday of Memorial Day, by Tuesday, I was in touch with Alycia who worked with me every step of the way. She gave excellent recommendations and insights, Clairified all of my confusions and misunderstandings, and sent me some articles for me as a son to help with my perspective and attitude.
We were asked all the right questions including our budget and were given a list of facilities that were a good fit. We think we have found just the right home for my husband.
Kathy was so kind and helpful. She was supportive thru the whole process, it was like getting help from a friend.
Tried to find options for my father in law after an accident and losing the ability to drive a car. The people I was connected to with A Place for Mom were so friendly and helpful and we found him an affordable option within days!
I have been trying for several years to convince my mom to move into a Senior Living community. However, I was unsuccessful. In 2022 my mom took too much of her medication and accidentally overdosed, due to dementia/Alzheimers. I was given two weeks to find her a place to live. My mom is still capable of dressing and feeding herself. So I needed an assisted living community with an attached memory care unit because I know that decline is inevitable. Our family is from El Paso, TX and I live in Upstate New York so trying to handle things from afar is difficult. I contacted a place for mom because I wanted to move my mom. At first to Las Cruces, however ultimately to El Paso. Christian gave me several places in Las Cruces to consider. I checked one out, which was nice. Had a lot of things I was looking for. Then I requested locations in El Paso. Christian gave me three to start with. I went and looked at two. The second one I looked at was very nice. Had all the things I was looking for. Assisted Living, memory care and Rehab, all in one place. They had a recent vacancy and no waiting list. Since the location was ideal, the community was good, the staff seemed friendly I decided to move my mom from NM to TX.
My case caseworker (Melanie Ramos)was utterly fantastic! Her experience was solid, demeanor gracious and ability outstanding. She guided us every step of the way during this challenging time. It felt like a trusted friend was helping us.
Jennifer at a Place For Mom was so incredibly helpful to me. She was so kind and answered all of my questions. She made tour appointments for me and also changes and cancelations. She helped me find the very best place for my mother. I highly recommend A Place for Mom.
Looking for Independent Living facility in Dallas
We found what we wanted and signed a contract within 10 days.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I answered the call from "A Place for Mom" with Matt Corley but he was very informative, helpful, and encouraging. He asked questions and listened to what our needs were and sent a great list to get started with, which got the process looking at places started. I really appreciated that there wasn't any sales pitch/push, just helpful information. And one of the places turned out to be exactly what my Mom likes. Thank you so much Matt!
Thank for the help and direction. I have never gone thru this situation and had no clue on how to proceed, what options were available, costs, etc. A Place for Mom helped me every step of the way, contacted me to check in and see if I had any questions and where I was at in the process. No pressure just direction.
Thanks!
We quickly had a tour scheduled and fell in love with the first place we saw. What a wonderful service for busy people
My search for an assisted living facility had already begun when a fall made the search time line shrink. I didn't know about all the facilities in my area and A Place for Mom was a blessing to inform me and then set up tours of additional facilities as well as to compare the options. The help I received was phenomenal.
I reached out to A Place For Mom about a friend of mine that needed to transfer to a memory care facility. Sarah quickly responded and helped me and my friends family locate a facility that met his needs. Thank you for your help and guidance!
It was good. People were helpful. Baked me back when they said they would. That's all I have to say.
Kate was so wonderful. She took all the time we needed to discuss my moms needs and came up with multiple places to tour. She set up the tours and followed up to get my opinion. We found the perfect place for mom! Thank you Kate for all your help and understanding.
Very helpful. Essentially though I found out there is little in home care support, but that is not their fault but an overlooked area from state and federal sources.
Literally received a call within 2 minutes of my inquiry. Recommendations sent shortly after, Had our care team secured within 24 hours. Several follow-up calls from them as well. Very attentive, caring and thorough.

Answer: In the Greater Louisville (Kentuckianna) metro area there are several I can recommend you consider based on our tour of recommended facilities in Southern Indiana. As residents of Southern Indiana, just across the river from Louisville, we chose Silvercrest in New Albany Indiana. They offer independent living in freestanding apartments as well as assisted living and also more complete care for those needing it. We also really liked Traditions at Hunters' Station in Sellersburg which has identical options, and Bennett House in Clarksville, which offers assisted living and additional services but does not have independent living. Some of these do have limited Medicaid beds in their nursing facilities.
