Ordered £1100 for the products, fridge, washing machine, and Dishwasher. The website said the order failed. Check my bank account money left my account. Call them, they said the money will be returned to me in 5 workings, so I trusted and by phone, I placed another order, this time the guy told me the payment was declined, I checked my account, again money left, called my bank they say both transactions were authorized and gave me AUTHs codes so I could give AO so they could find the payments and refund. They decline to take the Auth codes and identify my payment. They push me out of calls with promises of calling me back with a solution, they never did, I keep calling then and they keep having different excuses, but refuse to return the money and or sends the goods. So I'm out of more than £2000 and unable to place an order in another place. I'm totally stuck. I won't be using this company again and I don't recommend it. It can happen to you and is really painful and frustrating as you feel powerless. I almost cried today.
This is advice for anyone looking to work for this shocking company avoid at all cost they discriminate against you from years ago even if you wasn't involved
Was not informed of changed delivery times and was left waiting till 9pm and then could not contact any one took the money and left with no cooker

Ordered a fridge freezer on Friday for deliver Wednesday. Wednesday came and the wrong fridge freezer was delivered. They then confirmed the new one would be delivered on Friday and that they would take it up the stairs into my flat. Friday came and the drivers refused to take it upstairs. So they took it away again.
I call AO to be told that they will have to look into why they refused. Two hours later my girlfriend received a call from Josh in logistics who explained that one of the ladies delivering the fridge freezer had hurt her elbow and was unable to lift anything. So we was confused why she was still at work if she is unable to do her job. Josh then went on to belittle my girlfriend, be continously rude and and refuse to help.
He then suggested the next delivery available would be the Tuesday. Six days after the original delivery, meaning six days with out a fridge freezer.
My girlfriend then told him to just cancel the order and refund the cost. Josh in logistics answered almost before she could finish the sentence with " no problem, it's cancelled"
AO.com is a great example of an entrepreneur coming good. If its origins are to be believed, the founder made more than good on his promise and deserves everything he's achieved, yet I understand he's still "one of the lads".
I have used ao.com since 2013 to replace my failing white goods, not only because of competitive prices but that's also coupled with great customer service. My whole kitchen and utility room appliances have now been replaced since I moved in in 1995, the latest being an original integrated freezer. First installed in 1995! It was delivered on time, the delivery guys were polite and helpful and the post Christmas discount was very acceptable. Unfortunately, when I came to install it, sadly a vital part was missing. I contactes ao.com and spoke to Pierce, who immediately contacted the manufacture BOSCH, which arranged to send out the missing part but! Said it could take a week or more! This was at 17.30 today, Monday. When I expressed my concern at this further delay, it's difficult in these Covid times being without a freezer, he very quickly responded and arranged a complete new freezer to be delivered Wednesday morning.

We had a driver that was so rude he said that he had just been working for AO for two weeks and was not willing to take the freezer out of box to see if it went through the door has in his words did not pay for
Insulation so would not help in any way my wife was shaken by this experience and had to wake me up
From bed has she felt uneasy by his manner this made me phone AO and a lady by the name of jessica was so helpfull but we could not get a guarantee we would not get same man again we cancelled the order has my wife could not put her self through meeting the driver again
I bought a dishwasher BOSCH Series 2 WiFi and I booked a delivery date and failed to deliver because their truck broke down, when it was finally delivered I was excited I opened and water was running everywhere, connected my machine and it come up with E31 error, which means the heating water pump is broken down. This means I have to book engineer to fix a broken dishwasher & still not workinGGGG.
I have ordered a AEG washer dryer from AO.com, including full installation and set up of the machine. The machine has been set up unlevelled and experienced problems in operation. There have been four different drivers sent from AO.com to level the machine but none of them came with spirit level so they were unable to check and level the machine. This has wasted four full days of me waiting for the drivers to visit me (including weekdays, which I took days off work).
At the end, I have been contacted by AO.com with the offer of my machine to be replaced with new one, and to be compensated for the wasted time. I have sent an email to agree on that offer. However, extremely disappointing, the AO replied back to me that they do not have in stock the AEG machine I have purchased from them, so they cannot provide me a replacement. That really hit me and disappointed me as per the controversial information different AO agents sent me.
I have bought the machine at a big discount time. So even I get full refund from AO, I have to pay additional money (more than £200) to buy the same machine from alternative retailer to cover the price gap. Hence, now it is not possible for me to buy the same machine from another retailer at the same price and I have to suffer monetary loss.
I really regret for purchasing my washer dryer from AO and I would strongly recommend noone to use their service!
The delivery of the washer/dryer was already a problem. The first time the driver refused to deliver, although I had put on the delivery note that my flat was on the fourth floor without a lift. When the appliance finally arrived the packaging was dented and the enamel was chipped. AO offered to replace it, but after the difficulty of delivery I declined and they promised me some compensation which to date has not arrived. When a few weeks later I ordered a fridge/freezer I had my doubts but the person taking the order was very friendly and assured me that he would put it on the delivery note of the driver that my flat was on the fourth floor without a lift and that this time there would be no problem. Unfortunately on the day of the delivery the same thing happened. The driver refused to deliver. Customer service was this time not very courteous. They said the only solution would be to deliver to the ground floor and I would have to organise people to bring it upstairs. I said that this was not the agreement I had made with AO when placing the order. The only reply was an email stating their delivery conditions. I replied that it was strange that they could delivery a heavy washer/dryer a few weeks before, but not a lighter fridge/freezer. AO did not even respond. I cancelled the order and bought the appliance from John Lewis for the same price. Will never again order from AO.

Their technician and customer teams are a JOKE! I got a washing machine, got it fixed by their team and I had a flood in my apartment (and my downstairs neighbor's flat). They're just taking the money and are totally clueless. AVOID AVOID AVOID!
I ordered a Sony KD43X89JU TV this morning from A. O. On their website they say the sound quality of this TV is excellent. However, a couple of hours later I received a call from A. O. confirming delivery and to inform me that due to the size of the TV and the amount of electronics inside, that a sound bar would be needed as the TV speakers were too small. "So i'll just add that to the account shall I" were the words of the arrogant A. O. staff. When I said that I didn't want to buy an extra sound bar, he sounded amazed, asking why on earth I didn't want to enhance the sound from my new TV for a mere £89.
After we eventually got passed that I endured approximately 5 minutes of him talking about insurance and when he finished I only just caught him saying that he'd set it up and I wouldn't have to pay the first month. When questioned, he was basically just putting me on their insurance. To be honest, I was used to 1990's hard sells, but this was just dishonest.
I have since cancelled my order and recommend you don't touch A. O. with a barge pole.
AO.com delivered £3,000.00 worth of TV's to my house and didn't even take ID of the person signing for them. The Signer stole the TV's and I am now £3,000.00 down. The customer service is appalling!
Ordered a Fridge Freezer, Washing machine and Tumble Dryer from AO. A few days before the first delivery was due a chap from AO called to give me the blarney which was basically a push to get me to insure the appliances I was buying for £19.00 a month! I explained that having just bought a house money was tight and so insuring something I hadn't even taken delivery of yet was not high on my list of priorities. I went on to tell him that my three floor townhouse had tight stair entry on the ground floor and delivery would be around the back.
On the day of delivery a subcontractor turned up, said that they would only delivery to the front door and that was all they could offer. I told them I wouldn't accept delivery on those terms given I had no other way to moving the item if I accepted it. Subsequently I ended up cancelling all three items totalling over £1500, Maybe AO should spend less adverting on telly and pay their delivery crew to deliver the goods rather than drop them on the pavement. As an aside I purposely didn't purchase from sites that clearly stated they delivered kerb side only. Wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole after this experience. Whats additionally galling is that until they refund my money I cannot afford to buy the items from another supplier. The only positive in the experience was that I was at some point able to talk to a live human being.
My fridge broke and wasn't sure what I wanted. Went to barbers in waveland. All staff very helpful and a fun crew. Got my fridge delivered next day without any issues

One of the worst companies that I bought from.
I bought a 3k item on eBay from their shop they contacted me outside of eBay asking for my driver's license & Bank statement and they kept calling and sending SMS Messages to me, after 48hours of wasting my time they dispatched the item and before the driver deliver the item they contacted DPD and asked them to return the item. This company is doing something sketchy and fishy.
A police report will be made today, I have contacted Information Commissioner's Office regarding this incident with AO.
They violated Ebay's rules, GDPR Rules, and Uk Law. And yet they still working as if nothing happened and I'm still waiting for MY MONEY.
I have placed an order for TV on Friday with delivery on Sunday 7am to 7pm. I have arranged for someone to come in to hang the TV on Monday. After waiting for half day on Sunday I have called AO and it turns they cancelled my order - they didn't notify me. As a result:
1. I have wasted Sunday waiting for the order that was never meant to arrive
2. I have no money in my account to go to a different place and buy a tv as it is on hold and will be refunded only in 3-5 working days (free loan!)
3. I have handyman coming in that i arranged next day after the delivery that has nothing to hang. Since AO didn't tell me they cancelled my order until Sunday afternoon when I called I couldn't cancel the handyman so I will be incurring charge. And I can't even go to a shop to buy tv in time for handyman as AO have taken the funds I had for this tv

No way to raise complaint- they person on phone has ho refused to provide full name insisted they are customer service and complaint team - all in one. Clear conflict here in the process.
I used AO to buy a washing machine – a mistake that I'm never going to repeat again! I've never seen such stuff incompetency and outrageous delivery delays. We ordered a washing machine at the beginning of November when we were told that we need to wait 2 weeks to get it installed. When they finally got it installed, the machine turned out to be a faulty one. We asked for emergency assistance and the earliest visit they could arrange was in one more week! We waited for a useless engineer to come after a week to tell us what we already knew – that the machine is faulty. We had to then wait for another 2 weeks to get an appointment to install a new machine and the most ridiculous thing was that when the ‘engineer' came he couldn't install it because the water valve was faulty and we need to call a plumber. When the plumber attended it turned out the valve is working perfectly fine and that the AO engineer simply didn't know how to turn it on/off. So all of our issues were caused because the AO team don't know how to install the products they're offering. Spare the troubles and don't order from AO.
Answer: Phoned them and I had a 55min call waiting time. Not willing to wait that long I hung up
