Yes, this website makes me feel like my computer is constipated and can't move... anywhere! So many darn ads that it's guaranteed to freeze up. I hate when I see a very interesting article on Facebook only to soon realize that it's something posted to Answers.com... stupidest website design/management ever!
Sometimes the topics are interesting but I avoid it like the plague unless it's something that I'm really curious about because it's generally not worth the wasted time waiting for... Each... Screen... To... Load...
Yawn!
They lure you in with interesting content, then make it virtually impossible to view. Every link takes FOREVER to load, and 9 times out of ten the site with freeze completely. They also overlap ads, like when you try to watch a video some other one is playing at the same time and you can't turn it off. I have had it with you Answers and will no longer click on your tempting links! You suck!
The only good news about this site is that they don't have original content. I have learned to search for their stories elsewhere and can usually find the same vid or photos on other sites. Far as I can tell, answers.com is solely intended to shove ads in your face? It's the old fashioned bait and switch, now more like bait and spam.
In trying to read what was ostensibly a short article, I had to click through literally dozens and dozens of pages.
It's ludicrous.
Answers.com made their money from my clicks in the cheapest possible way, but that's going to be it forever because I will never, ever read anything on Answers.com again.
Looking for an answer for one of your queries? If yes then I would suggest you visiting answers.com. They are a top-25 com-score site and offer one-stop solutions for integrated media across mobile, social and the desktop. It is human nature to ask questions on different topics on a regular basis. This website is visited regularly by 75,000 people who actively ask, answer, learn and share their knowledge on varied subjects. The site even offers updated news and articles covering a variety of topics. Their video library provides detailed, hands-on guide when words do not make up while describing a topic.
I've seen some interesting posts that have been sponsored on Facebook, only to be riddled with advertisements when I click on the link to the Answers.com site. These adverts slow the website down so much that it is nigh on impossible to navigate to the next section of the post. Also, make sure you turn your speakers down when you visit this website as you'll usually get a random advertisement video start automatically playing with sound. Awful if you ask me.
Answers.com, sure they have lots of interesting stories to click on... but you will never get to read it. I am not wasting 5 hours getting 13 slides to load. You guys have so many crappy ads that is sucks up all the load speed. I avoid everything on your site.
This site provides helpful answers in a large number of categories, and many are well-researched and accurate. However, it is user-provided and some answers are not helpful at all. The wiki concept means that they can be improved over time, and updated if they receive enough interest - they will not always remain static, outdated, or completely wrong, as is the case on other sites.
I have finally learned not to go there... thought it was just my computer. I see their stories pop up on my Yahoo home page all the time, interesting leads and you can never navigate the site, it's just too frustrating. It is also making me avoid the Yahoo home page, now I just use it for a quick mail check. How do they keep that site on the web, it barely functions? Advertisers are wasting their money.
Since nobody, really NOBODY can get reliable answers on Answer.com, one wonders why they are in business. Why do they have ad revenue?
Advertisers like the fact that Answer.com has figured out how to seize a top spot in search results, mostly when people type a question into a search box. They don't care that the user is universally disappointed on arrival at answers.com, they are just happy that answers.com is willing to stick ads in your face before you can read what idiots who pretend to knowledge on a topic post there.
It must also be pleasing to advertisers that answers.com will play unsolicited audio that you have to root out to turn off, usually having to leave the site just for peace and quiet.
I have an 8 processor PC with 8 gigs of ram and a high end graphics card. Answers dot com loads so slow that I have to close the tab and move on. They get paid for ad "views" even if you close the site before it fully opens, so they don't care that it is slow. I wish some hacker would shut them down.
It should be a crime to say these people answer anything, its all incredibly vague and general information. And 9 ads on the same page! Yes 9, motion advertisements were on the page. Answers.com needs to answer why their so full of crap, figure with all that ad revenue you could improve something
This is click bait at it's very worst. There is nothing about this site I like. In order to read one (generally poor) news article there is so much page clicking and ads just slow the whole thing down to a point its not worth the trouble. If you want to know Google, damn site easier and not nearly as keen to push every ad imaginable on you. Avoid like the plague
This has to be the worst site ever visited. You are lured by what appears an interesting or amusing article only to be bombarded by utter junk and mountains of advertising before you can view the content you went to see. Then without fail it NEVER produces the promised review. Absolute garbage.
If there was a zero I would give it that. This has to be the worst site ever. Have never managed to read an entire article as it is just too annoying waiting for it to change pages. As someone pointed out earlier, do the advertisers realize no one will ever read the ads they are paying for?
answer.com sucks! When I'm on yahoo and directed to their site once I get there It's like having the old dial up internet. You'll sit there forever before the page loads. What a sad site! I will avoid it it as much as possible.
They have some interesting slide shows that you CANT view because the site is so bogged down by ads. I understand they need ads to make money but they also need people to be able use the website. I make sure to NOT click on any articles from answers.com because you cant read the article and end up frustrated. I often wonder if the people that run the site ever actually try to use it. If they did they would know it is complete crap. I would have like to been able to give it no star for the rating or negative stars.
This site is so bad, whenever I see something that might be interesting, I look to see if it comes from answers.com. If it does, I don't even bother clicking it. If it's a list of top 10 or top 20, I can never get past the 1st one because it's trying to load some huge page of crap I didn't want to see, before it lets me go to the next page. Totally useless!
I avoid this site at all costs. I admit their topics have peaked my interest from time to time, meanwhile, once I see "answers.com" as the sponsor and I move on past it. The website is entirely to slow... kinda like the old "dial up" when signing on to AOL back in the day.
Answer: Same I dint get an awnser
Answer: The content is meaningless fluff, so don't worry about reading any articles from Answers.com as their site has anything but answers. It's a clicklbait site designed to draw the curious in and lock their computers so they stare at the ads waiting indeterminable amounts of time for the next slide to load. Stay away, it's a trap.
