I received 6 mail that I'm pre approved and all my friends they have the card when I apply my application got denied knowing that I have high score and very good income and then they ask for form 4506-c for no reason don't believe this company
I am boycotting American Express. Who is with me? I was a customer for over 26 years with no late payments. I had a problem with my autopay. I was charged over $200 interest for 5 days between the problem and being notified.
It's honestly just a $#*!ty card. You cannot Venmo with it. You cannot cash app with it. You cannot Zelle with it. You cannot PayPal, circlepay, or buy crypto with it. The only thing You can do with this card is in person purchases and $#*! of that nature. I've been trying to get 1000 dollars off of this card using the cash advance system for 2 weeks. The customer service representatives are professional and nice but they are about as helpful as a hernia. If you need a card to pay for random expenses then yeah maybe this is an ok option for that. But if you would like a card to do more than there bear minimum please save your future self some headaches and consider a different credit provider than these federally backed loan sharks. It would honestly be easier to remove the stink from a hunk of horse $#*! than it would be to remove your cash from this card.
I applied for the American Express Card (Hilton honor card), I was approved and the company sent me the card. However, after three months, I spent the more money ($4000) they requested, then I asked when I will receive my rewards points, then I was told that I was declined for the rewards, but they never sent me the letter or email indicating I was declined. If I am declined, why the company still sent me the approved card?

After leaving an abusive marriage, and trying to turn my life around, then Covid hits. Without notice, AmEx took my BUSINESS account and reported it to my PERSONAL account as a collection. The last payment was in May, and they did this in July. We have had an excellent relationship with AmEx and always paid on time. Covid severely affected our business income, losing 75% of our business. My personal credit was great. They now have caused a more than 100 point drop on my report.
After contacting the AmEx credit bureau department, as well as the 3rd party collection agency (all day being sent back and forth with no help or answers, except that, "you need to pay the balance off") the 3rd party rep actually had the audacity to say to me, "once you pay this debt you can re-establish a relationship with AmEx as you are a valued customer". Is he insane? After they've done this to me, AND ruined my credit score?
DO NOT even think about signing up with this company. I wish I never had.
Dreadful customer service. I've been trying to change my bill to paperless for the longest time but it won't change over. Customer service won't do that for me. I asked to speak to speak to a manager who could do that for me. Nope. No one available. I told her that I would hold until one was available. Nope that wasn't allowed. Dreadful and what a waste of my time!
I've had my American Express card for over 5 years and in that time I've never submitted a claim for any fraudulent charges. Last month, for the first time ever, I submitted a claim for a fraudulent charge that was over $600. Customer service tried to make it sound like I was the one being fraudulent by submitting the claim. They did not help me cancel this charge or offer any assistance whatsoever. I paid off my card and I canceled it today. I know that canceling a credit card will hurt your credit in the short-term, but your credit will quickly recover in a matter of just a few months, and then you won't be stuck giving your business to a bunch of con artists. It was worth it!
This company is amazing. I lost my card, i called them and the next day the new card was in my house sent by ups. I couldn't believe that. Costumer service was excellent. I love this card. Never had a problem. I have another two credit cards and i don't use them, this is my favorite. Everyone should have this card. I'm so happy with it.

• Unable to see their "special" again on the web.

• Not included with Packing slip either.

• Called their number, as showed on Retail transaction, does not excist.

I have already spoke to an American Express representative and told me to send all the information gathered. I have sent three times this information and the three times it was declined. The Customer service agent told me it was my problem.
In fact, they made no effort to check the authenticity and legality of this company.
I have returned their card after 20 years of having been a loyal customer.

I have heard wonderful things about american express and so when I was looking for something specific in a credit card I looked at american express options first. I have a great credit score and can get and card I want and have pre approved offers sent to me daily but I chose this card for one specific reason however I am not sure if their wording was ambiguous as I no longer have access to the original offer or if they just changed the offer after I applied but they added a charge of 225 when I specifically chose a card that was showing no fee for the use I needed. After speaking with customer service I am so turned off by american express I will never use this card and will speak to financial advisors on ways to cancel this card without affecting my credit.
You would think an expensive card like this would protect a customer's interest. You would be wrong like my wife, and I found out. My wife and I back in January planned our 30th wedding anniversary in Italy for April 23 - May 6. Some of that trip was purchased through American Express and the balance through a VISA card. As you would guess, flights were canceled, and hotels were closed. American Express recovered none of the purchases on the American Express card while VISA recovered all those on the VISA card. I managed to personally recover all the American Express charges except one. This purchase had to do with a flim-flam travel business called Agoda. They kept our money because of a no-show! Huh? However, Trip.com returned all our purchases without the help of American Express. They are totally useless and do not care at all who they do business with. American Express is filled with bean counters that have no interest in fairness whatsoever.
American Express offers the worst products on the market, zero customer service and you cannot even online chat or email them if you are a customer. Being charged interest when the card has a zero balance for the last month and tried to call them about it, but the system hangs up on you after you go through the automated prompts. I have about 14 other things to complain about, but it would take too long to list here. Do NOT, AND I MEAN NOT, get an AMEX for any reason whatsoever as you will hate your life immediately if you carry any of their products.

They allowed me to open a new account and transfer partial balance from my AMEX Blue for the purpose of a balance transfer and then denied it stating that they do not process balance transfers beyond 7,500.00$. I spoke to at least 4 representatives to handle this transaction and not one of them knew that it was waste of "our" time. Furthermore, I am certain that the reps get incentives for opening new accounts and I feel that was the angle of this representative that I spoke to. Moreover the representative that I spoke to to resolve this matter had the AUDACITY to tell me that this happened to me because I wasn't listening after I was very upset with the lack of knowledge and misrepresentation in their error.
I was scammed on one of my two AmExp cards, and someone I associate with who has considerably more income than myself came to my rescue to pay off that card because AmExp didn't feel I was scammed. What did AmExp say? "Sorry, but ONLY the cardholder must pay off the balance! We don't accept payments from any other source." Who cares where the funds come from?! The balance is being paid off and AmExp shouldn't discern who is paying the AmExp bill!
I was offered 90,000 bonus miles for the Delta SkyMiles AMEX Platinum Card at the Sunport airport in September 2021, although I have the Delta SkyMiles blue card.
