I ordered a sink which was supposed to come with a drinking water faucet. The sink arrived without the drinking water faucet, instead it had a soap dispenser substituted by the manufacturer who failed to update the ad. I called Amazon customer service and in about 5 minutes they gave me the $280 sink for free and I bought the water faucet for $32 That's above and beyond. Amazon is a fantastic company.
Basic reasonable service for all customers spending their hard earned money on this site? No. Amazon literally looks for ways, to penalize those who don't have their prime" subscription. Also would have just gone to walmart had I known this would happen. Placing a simple order for non custom items, then having to wait a week before arrival is unacceptable.
Its been almost a whole three weeks since I send my item back and still haven't gotten a refund their return service is so slow I'm really mad I need my money now the fact I contact three people didn't help they all say the same thing "wait another week" like the heck smh I'm disappointed in Amazon love them for their shipping but beware of sending items back.

I bought an agitator assembly, container bottom, and sealing ring for an extra Oster blender jar that came with a new blender. The order shipped fairly quickly, but when it arrived, there was no sealing ring. I contacted customer service, and they submitted a refund without offering to send the missing part. I requested a refund for the whole lot and was told I'd have to pay the shipping cost which was over $6. I will use Amazon next time!
I don't like leaving negative reviews but I am tired of Amazon sending me the wrong product that I didn't order it's happened morning three times. The packaging department needs to do a better job and the delivery drivers also it's upsetting when you are expecting something and you don't get what you paid for and that makes the process even longer if you pay for Amazon Prime they need to respect it and do a better job for their customers. When ordering from Etsy I've never had this issue!
Lately things have been packaged in no shipping box at all, or packaged in padded envelopes where product is damaged or parts have fallen out. I received a cocoa machine that was cracked because it wasn't in a shipping box.A present of metal deer that was in a envelope type box that was open and hanging options had fallen out along the way.Ordered juice and wrong item was sent…Twice boxes were sent to wrong address.
I used to never doubt this company but now I do.
Tip for consumers:
I used to trust Amazon but over the past few months orders have been wrong, damaged, missing items and sent to wrong address twice.

This is Amazon in general. This is about Amazons shipping practices.
I don't understand how it could possibly take over 40+ (I gave up) minutes to speak with a representative.
Amazon doesn't care how people get their packages correctly. Delivery to the wrong address, career do not manage.
I'm going to write a quick summary about how it has changed in the last five years with Amazon. Within the last five years I have noticed Amazon has not taken care of the customers like they used to. For example, I used to spend 10k and even sometimes more. The reason Amazon showed that they cared about their customers whatever date was showing on that other end is what date you got your package and if not, they would accommodate you. I never had to worry about my packages, not showing up or the date changing three times before arrives. Also back in the day when you had a problem it was dealt with with a quick response nowadays I think I'm on my seventh or eighth complaint about the same thing they have not offered me anything for compensation nor have they even get back with me on the situation they say the same thing I will leave notes about your problem, but it don't even matter because I know it's not get it taken care of. I've had one of their drivers set a package on one of my windows of my vehicle in the freezing cold and cracked my window. I called and tried to get it fixed. They told me that they would take care of it and we are on eight months later, and I still have a busted window, but I do not complain about that and how convenient they don't show records and if you get somebody to admit it, they say your past a certain amount of time before they pay you and I say I know I call every week about the same situation until six months goes by and it's a waste of time. I really have nothing bad to say about Amazon back in the day. I don't know if it has new ownership, new management or they're going a different direction but I do not buy Amazon products anymore unless I have to I rather drive or find another place. The drivers nowadays have no integrity no market package attempt for delivery when I'm standing in front of the door with all the doors open watching him pass by or they said across the street at a store and never come over and Mark attempt I have wrote a email to the owner of the company And I still have not heard back from no one. I think I have a total of six emails out in the last five years and neither one has been answered. Or if you ever do read this and you are someone at Amazon, they can take care of business I would like to make a suggestion. When a company is spending $10-$20,000 a month with you can you please not leave that company very last on your route because at 10 PM most companies ain't open and if you pass it 12 times during the day before 10 o'clock at night can you please deliver the package sometimes I might have a chance to get the job done. And also, can you please update your system to show the accurate date products are really going to arrive because here lately it's 1 to 2 days difference, and the time it says, and it really is hard to set my schedule for my jobs.
Tip for consumers:
If you always start showing the care y’all used to have and treating me like a customer there’s no doubt I would order everything from you. But as of right now I don’t think you even care if you have a customer because all they ever hear is sorry and that is fine but sorry only goes so far before. Sorry is not a sorry anymore It’s just an excuse. Fixing the problem is a better sorry.

I have forwarded all pertinent information showing tracking information and delivery of dress back to the retailer.
3 months... still no refund...
If you actually have a particular item in mind show around. Walmart, Google shopping, department stores. I'd say at least 85% of time you will find it cheaper. When it comes to convenience those same stores ship so you still do not have to go anywhere. Third party sales on Amazon will eventually ruin them. People don't realize that they are paying way more for everything because of the convenience.
Amazon promises fast delivery but more often then not the deliveries and shipment is late. I have a high return rate because of either bad quality or the description is a flat out lie. Bezos needs to concentrate more on getting better quality products and fix their shipping issues. He seems like he doesn't care about Amazon anymore, he's more interested in cheating on his wife (ex-wife now) than a quality shopping site with fast reliant shipping. I'm going to stop using Amazon and just shop local again. Totally disappointed.
One of the big points of shopping with Amazon
Is the ease of their return process. However, this is no more. They have done away with UPS as a drop off/shipping option. Non of their other options for drop off/shipping are close to me or have a pick up option. This has caused a major hassle with my returns. This will definitely impact the number of purchases I will be making on Amazon going forward.
I have been an Amazon Prime Customer for years. I rarely get my deliveries in 3 days much less same day. I get it, I'm down in a holler in the sticks. Recently we ordered some chainsaw parts. Five days later... parts have not even shipped. More like TWO WEEK delivery... but at least it doesn't cost more than $184.74/yr...
My smoker jacket showed up missing its sash rope. A call to Amazon only resulted in them telling me to return or exchange the entire robe. Nope- my preferred color is now out of stock. Just send the darn rope!

I looked forward to Amazon switching to their own freight/delivery infrastructure... at my rural address they used to use USPS, which was a disaster (had to drive 10 miles to the post office to pick everything up, and USPS only bothered with a parcel notice perhaps 20% of the time).
But Amazon's services are extremely flaky in their own right. Ridiculously inaccurate delivery estimates (date and time of day) are typical. Delivery is estimated at time of order, but is subject to change, at whim, from day to day, hour to hour, and sometimes from moment to moment while the shipment is in transit. At this point, Amazon's estimates are not useful even in an advisory fashion... indeed nearly random, only their hairdresser knows... until it actually shows up.
I suppose a residential customer in a crime-prone location could adapt by using a locker or drop nearby (assuming there is one, assuming they never order anything too large/heavy to be accommodated by the drop). What do small business customers do, when they need stuff to arrive during a coherent window during the day? Probably also have to use a drop, and accept the same restrictions.
You would think Amazon could model delivery estimates based on empirical data, rather than whatever it is they are actually doing, and come up with something that is not such a joke. Perhaps they are already doing this (badly), or perhaps this is beyond them. No doubt at some point they will circumvent their incapacity and just quit generating estimates.
Bloated bloated bloated, their website or even doing the most basic function can be near impossible. Yes good prices usually but their interface was designed by those who are incapable of understanding user interface.
Amazon motto should be "more is less."
Tip for consumers:
They disallow any actual reviews of amazon itself: only products or other sellers. Who’s minding the store or holding them accountable?

Too many to list. How do you rate a beached whale when it can somehow legally say in stock and ships in 2-3 days but then it does not have to ship for weeks?
I purchased a Hayward DE3620 filter which worked fine for about 40 days then the cloth around the inner fins sprung a tare. Contact with the seller In-The Swim gave me no help, with the manufacturer Hayward and even though Amazon boasted Claim process, I was told it was past the 30 day limit.
I've now learned not to trust any of these merchants to support their products. I'll only buy small items and those that I'm sure I return in the return timeframe guaranteed.
I've been a long time customer of each of these and got not help.

People have projects to do on time. We buy based on the delivery dates and count on that. Don't like being told one thing then get something all together different. Next day means next day. I bet Jeff didn't deal with this while building his empire.!
Ms in wrong address, they require nonsense passwords for deliVery, they deliver damaged packages, like a book I've ordered was wet and was ripped… it's becoming a real pain to shop with Amazon.
Amazon is a hit or miss half the time here lately. I mostly buy books and tea. Sometimes dog things because i do rescue work and also have 4 dogs of my own. But the last couple of time amazon has missed their delivery time and dates by at least 24 hours and im not sure if amazon is having the same problems as other businesses are but i just dont know. On the other hand this has been happening with alot of businesses lately.
I want to score them higher because they have a lot to offer, customer service has been helpful on the few occasions I've needed them and with Prime I get free shipping. Here's the catch - the shipping and delivery portion of the order is so awful that it supercedes and cancels out the good. When you order something from other sites, it gives you a delivery date and that's it; the item is there as expected. With Amazon it's a crapshoot! Very, very few orders ever show up on time and that's inexcusable. The cost of shipping is built into the cost of my membership, so remember nothing is free. They give you no recourse for late shipments. I order things with plenty of time but when you're expecting a delivery it should be there. My daughter's birthday present is already TWO DAYS late and the only offer is a refund, but then they reverse the shipment and that's not feasible because I still need the product. They shouldn't be allowed to charge you a fee if they don't hold up their end of the agreement. I'm not ordering from them anymore. It's time to get back to shopping small, local businesses again. Bye, Amazon
Tip for consumers:
Order with extra time to spare or your item will not arrive by the date you need it.

Another 2 more day Another message that the order will be cancel. 3 to 5 business days for refund. So now missed the Black Friday sale. If Amazon can't fulfill black Friday sale.

If been a prime member with Amazon for years. The pass few months starting in June. I see a trend happening of not getting my delivery as promised. In fact a good third are late or lost. The aggregating part is CS gives a hard time to resolve the problem. It's bad enough CS is outsource but they can't speech English clearly or disconnect. Their famous line "can you hold on". Ring a owner of several businesses the most important part is CS known as the gate keeper. I see a down fall of a company that taken to much on. For one raising the Prime member rate. Amazon has a good concept but needs to slow down and perfect each new idea. Yes I'll still shop Amazon but Walmart and Target is right on their heels.
... stop using fly-by-night vendors that sell crap products that are either always defective or garbage in the first place? Might be time to look elsewhere for products online!

Went back and ordered the right product for my vehicle, unlike the one that claimed it was the right product.
USPS is know for having slow deliveries yet Amazon insists on using USPS because the cost is cheaper than UPS or FedEx. We pay Prime membership for fast shipping but yet delivery is always delayed! In one week I have had 2 different orders delayed because of Amazon using USPS.
Amazon sells everything (almost).
