What a complete joke. I've emailed and called and can't reach anyone. I'm convinced there is NO customer service, but instead just a circulating recording. I'm furious companies can get away with this. I'm close to driving to their office to reach someone! Horrible company.
My online purchasing experience was easy and streamlined. Hopefully there won't be any problem obtaining the prescription from my vet. I used to purchase my heart-guard there at my vet's office, but it is hard to make it there during business hours with my work schedule.
Allivet is great with prices. I feel they go out of their way to contact me if there is a problem with a prescription. I really trust their prices and never have to shop around again.

Early last week my vet sent a script to Allivet for my pet. 5 days later I received an email from them saying they never received it -- in all I received this same message 3x. Finally I called them and waited 25 minutes for someone to pickup the phone! To make a long story short NEVER do business with this company as they lie, send meds late, etc. This company will give you ulcers and then some!
I ordered Meds for my dog on 8/9/17. Allivet didn't request approval from my Vet until 8/11/17. My Vet faxed them approval ( I have copies of the Fax w/date received). They claimed they didn't receive it and requested approval again on 8/14/17. They said they didn't receive that also. I have a copy of proof that they did. After on hold for 1/2 hour with customer service and having to speak with a Supervisor they finally sent it. It was late and my dog went without her very crucial meds for 3 days. SHAME ON ALLIVET! They are also LIARS claiming they never received the FAX when I had proof of receipt. Customer service is BAD too. They lied, and never called me back after leaving 2 messages. BYE BYE ALLIVET. I will never do business with you again!
I recently ordered prescription food and medications for my dog. Firstly, it took them DAYS to even ship the items, and when we received them we were dismayed to see that a) they had shipped the wrong dog food, and b) the medications (pills) came with four pages of warnings and instructions for HUMANS, and there were no confirmable markings on the pills, leaving us to wonder (partly because they had shipped the wrong food) whether these were the right pills.
I have tried 12 times to get through by phone; I sit on hold for 10 minutes, and then get disconnected. Their system allows you the option to leave a message (which I've done as well) and four days later, still no response. I have also responded to their customer care email address and four days/three emails later, still no response.
Taking my business (and my beloved pet's wellbeing) elsewhere.
By far Allivet had the best online deal for what I was looking for - dog's Intercept heartworm chewables.
I experienced the exact same problem. I kept getting emails from Allivet saying they had not received a response from my vet. When I contacted my vet he said they had never received anything from Allivet. I emailed them the correct information and called them with the correct information.
If you need medication for your pet promptly do not use Allivet.
Allivet contacts my vet for script and ships in a timely manner. I have been using them for years now. I wood recommend them to others.
I ordered my pet's medication for heart failure early last week. My vet sent the script promptly on Wednesday. Days go by and they never sent the meds. Instead Allivet would send me emails saying they could not reach my vet. Allivet does not check their own emails/faxes for scripts sent in the from the vets. My vet even called them Monday to tell them they sent it. Yet it would still take an additional 5-10 days. I called Allivet and lingered on hold, no one ever picked up the phone. I emailed, facebook messaged them and nothing. Ya know Allivet, it's not I'm ordering some pet toys or treats I am ordering medication that my dog needs for his heart failure. Your delays, your incompetence are putting our pets in danger.
I placed an order with Allivet on 8/15. It is now 8/21. They have been trying to call my vet not during their business hours so it has been impossible for them to contact my vet. Then they proceed to send me notifications about how they have attempted to contact my vet. So my vet contacted them to change one of the prescriptions and then they contacted me because they needed to verify that with me. I left them a voicemail saying it was okay. Still haven't sent my medications out so I had to buy it at my local vet. I emailed them and called them a million times before my last email (which was a nasty one) finally got them to respond. I asked them to cancel some meds on my order, and the ended up refunding me for medication I actually needed. I cancelled my entire order because I am so sick of dealing with these people and their unprofessional and incompetent customer service. Never buy from these people.
I ordered flea meds (Comfortis) which I have purchased elsewhere several times. Allivet offered a 3 month supply so that is what I bought. They sent 3 tablets taken out of an opened box and stapled some paperwork to it! Opening up a package and taking half the contents out and selling it for more than half the cost of the full box is BS! They do not inform you that they are sending opened product or I never would have ordered. I will not do business with them again.
I called in and then went online and ordered. Very user friendly web site! The customer service agent was very nice and assisted me answering all my questions.
Allivet is the WORST pet supply company! As others have noted, to get through on the phone is practically impossible. Their ship time is Very Slow. If you want something shipped from them, plan way ahead. Better yet, don't use them. I'm done.
I tried to call them during office hours, and nobody came to the phone. Even after office hours, there is no message saying they are closed. I ended up just opting to leave a message, to which they never responded. Finally, I went online to talk to them via live chat. I spoke with an agent named Holly, who was extremely rude: no hello, no goodbye, no thank you, no you're welcome - nothing, despite my cordiality. At this point, I am just going to find a vet to price-match, because I don't want to give unnecessarily rude people my money. Next time I'll just pay more for a company that actually wants my business.
Ordered nearly 1 week ago & all I've had is an email to say they hadn't received approval from the vet. The vet said they approved it straight away. Tried calling & got cut off each time after 15 minutes. At this stage all I want is a refund & to never have to deal with them again. DO NOT waste your time with this company.
Prices are significantly lower than at the vet, and that's great. I have four dogs who use prescription meds. I mail the scripts in and they are kept on file, even when I don't need the right away. It's very convenient. I'm happy with this site.
Answer: They advertise medications with photos of the manufacturers' packaging. However it seems that when a customer gets the meds they are not in the original packaging. There is really no way to verify that the meds are either authentic (as opposed to counterfeit) or that they are not expired. Individual tablets are not stamped with dates. When they failed to send me medication in the manufacturer bottle, I contacted my credit card company, then ordered from a different vendor.
