Allivet is very easy to use; they have been very helpful and efficient. They are my pet med company.
I ordered next business day shipping and my prescription will not arrive for 6-7 days! This is unacceptable. The turn around time for Rx is 48-72 hours before the shipping, and the communication is horrible and the wait times are long. Use someone else!

I put in an order for heartworm medicine on Sept 5th they sent the prescription approval 5 different times to my vet which all 5 times he approved and by the end was so pissed off and angry that he will never do it again for me. Then finally on the 18th of September I get an email saying that they shipped my product but they shipped it to my old address which when I ordered the product I changed my address in the system, when I noticed that they were sending it to my old address I called them 4 separate times sent 3 different emails and finally got somebody to respond just to let me know that it's my problem they're not gonna refund me my $91.95 nor will they send me another order, that if I want it I need to drive to my old address and hope it's there! I will be contacting the Attorney General to see if there is any legal means that I can follow being that it was ordered on line I might be able to get them for mail fraud
Literally the worst service and customer service ever. Placed an order aug 26 and it arrived Sept 16! This after I called to cancel 2 different times because it was taking so long. Created online "tickets" of complaint. No response. Called and talked to a supervisor who was supposed to call me back. Never did... HORRIBLE! They have no email to write to customer service but ever time I called i was on hold for 30 minutes! And then they wanted me to pay to ship it back. NEVER AGAIN. Beware.
I have not received my pet's medication for nearly two months, even though they were quick to charge my card. I have tried calling numerous times, but I was placed on hold for over twenty minutes each time.
I tried contacting them via email, with absolutely no answering. This is horrible service, especially if your pet requires medications. Please use your local vet as this site will not deliver your meds. I will be disputing the charges through my credit card company to get a refund. If anyone at allivet is reading this, my order number was SO-*******

I see reviews saying the no customer service, the snotty attitudes and the horrid service is worth the price. First, nothing is worth being treated like this company treats its customers. Next, there is a lot of other drug companies with the same prices with good customer service. You have been warned.
Horrible customer service. I ordered medicine for my dog and it took a month to receive. Company offered nothing in return for me having to wait and my dog ran out of his medicine. No phone call and no email to tell me my medicine was going to be late. Decided to give them one more try. Ordered again, same thing happened. I finally called after two weeks had passed since placing my order, and they said part of my order was back ordered. Were they planning on letting me know this or just making me wait for weeks on end. Will never use Allivet again!
Misleading product that is non-returnable. Generic Tri-Heart Plus advertised as a subistitute for Heartgard Plus. Genuine Heartgard is in a soft, easily-fed, treat-like format. Tri-Heart Plus is a huge, hard tablet that most dogs want nothing to do with. Allivet's response was "sorry".
Must be getting written by Allivet employees.
I started using Petsmart online pharmacy. Customer Service was fabulous! They answer the phone quick. I used standard shipping and had the medication in 3 days delivered by Fed Ex. Hope it helps anyone looking for a reputable company.
Ordered a common dog med for the first time through Allivet. Was warned by a friend to call the vet and let them know the scrip request was coming. My vet immediately approved it and sent back on a Sunday. Called Allivet on Tues and they said they received the scrip approval but the pharmacist office was closed Mon. Found this odd because there is no mention of this on the site. Call back on Thurs and now I'm told the pharmacist office was closed Mon AND Tues so they are now behind on orders. There was no explanation for this and no offer to rush ship or help with my order. Insane and cruel business practices. Do not use this for your beloved pets.
I've had exactly the same problem with orders, promises to ship the next day but it is instead "Placed on hold", promises that they Faxed requests to my vet but hadn't heard back yet (which I KNOW is bull because my Vet records every request and response in their files), etc, etc... Will somebody PLEASE tell me an online pharmacy to use for my dog's meds? I'm DONE with Allivet.
I ordered some products and needed them before I left for a horse show so I paid second day shipping to get them before I left. The package never came so I called them to see what was going on and they said that it just shipped out today the day I should have received it. They said there was up to 24 to 48 hour time to process the order. I asked them to show me where that was stated on their website but they could not because there is not. I asked for them to just refund my shipping cost they said they could not because it was not their policy to refund shipping costs even if I didn't get it in the time I paid for. After 30 minutes on the phone waiting to speak to a supervisor she stuck to the same story. Horrible customer service!
Due to the devastation in Florida where my regular pet pharmacy is located I turned to Allivet to order HeartGuard Plus for my Pit Mix. I notified my veterinarian that I had ordered from Allivet and to expect a request for the perscription.
According to Allivet they faxed the request to my Vet. I called my Vet who told me that they had not received anything. I called Allivet and was told that they Fax 3 times and THEN make a phone call.
I asked them to please call because my pet had been without for 4 days. They promised that they would.
By the end of the day the Vet had not heard from them. The next morning when I checked online my order still was on hold.
I called Allivet to see if they had received the prescription. They said that they had just received authorization this morning which I found very strange since the Vet is closed on Wednesday but I didn't question.
This is what angered me. When I asked if I could expect the medicine the next day since I had paid the very expensive shipping rate for Next Day Delivery I was told that it would take 24 to 48 hours to process the medicine and then the shipping company would have to pick it up so probably sometime next week I would receive the medicine.
Unbelievable and Unacceptable. I will never use this company again. Please make sure you understand that when you order something from Allivet Next Day Shipping does not mean you will get the medicine the next day.
I clicked on an ad for Heartgard Plus for my dog, shown for $49.75, and the site prepared a quote (with free shipping and no tax) of $54.99. I will call them and see if they will honor the ad and credit me back the extra $$ i paid. Who reads this review? Does anyone at Allvet see it? Does my name and contact info from my order show up on the Allvet manager's screen? If so, please straighten this out for me.

I just placed my doer and so far it was pretty easy. My order just contained Nexgard and Heartgard, so I was wondering why they needed my vets contact? But hopefully they deliver quickly.

Their return policy is a total lie! It states that they will not accept prescriptions or cold medicine back and that is understandable. I wanted to return dog vitamins because I accidentally ordered 1oz. Instead of 4oz. The idiot told me that they won't accept it back if it was the wrong quantity! After wasting five minutes of my life arguing with the moron that could barely English, I told her where she could go and that I would never do business with Allivet again! Don't waste your time with this company!
Allivet provides meds that are necessary and useful. The product, however, is overpriced. While Previcoxx is approved for dogs it is not approved for horses. The compound equivalent, Equicoxx, has the same potency but costs 50% more. Shame on the makers of Equicoxx/Previcoxx.
Answer: They advertise medications with photos of the manufacturers' packaging. However it seems that when a customer gets the meds they are not in the original packaging. There is really no way to verify that the meds are either authentic (as opposed to counterfeit) or that they are not expired. Individual tablets are not stamped with dates. When they failed to send me medication in the manufacturer bottle, I contacted my credit card company, then ordered from a different vendor.
