Who is in charge?

Finding whom to call was difficult enough but navigating the menu has to be the worst such experience I have ever had and I have had some terrible ones. The online reviews are scathing and I must agree. However the gentleman I finally spoke to was polite, helpful and actually gave me the information I needed

Less than Poor

Needed to change direct deposit information. Account was locked. It took 2 weeks to receive a pin to change DD info and new mailing address. Once all changed request 2 checks that were delayed be sent. Spoke to multiple customer service reps. Each making up a different story as to why it takes so long to send checks. 3 day internal process. Several days to contact bank and believe it or not 7-10 days in the mail Asked to have them over nighted. Get this the bafoons said I had to have a personal UPS account. Naturally I told them that was ridiculous. So, I was told that one check was sent 1/18/23. After numerous follow ups on 1/26/23 I was told they were sent to the wrong address because the bank didn't update there address. I called Alight corporate offices and the gave me the same run around. The management of this company ( and I use company lightly) is worthless and has no idea what goes on. Singularly the worst in the universe. Less than 0 stars.

Alight is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with throughout my career. There is no communication, coordination, and /or business sense. We have been trying for over a year to settle some medical claims. There was obviously an error at their end, and we have been told numerous times the monies will be transferred, and nothing ever happens. We have been told a manager will call us numerous times and nobody calls back. I can't believe Merck, a major pharmaceutical company, uses this company. We have tried to call Merck and they give us other numbers that end up back at Alight and begin the same process again.

My HSA debit card was declined due to $0 balance. I called Fidelity and they informed me that they only administer the card and transactions, buy Alight is responsible for funding it. Alight failed to fund my account with MY money. It's almost impossible to get ahold of someone. After being transferred 5 times and being on hold for for 45 minutes, I was told that the card wouldn't be funded until the end of the month. All the while, I'm stuck with out of pocket costs for medical expenses and now I'll have to go through the always-fun experience of getting reimbursed. All the while they're making dividends off of my coworkers and my money. What a bunch of crooks!

Horrible Company

Throughout my career I have used many HSA/FSA companies and ALIGHTSOLUTIONSis the absolute worst. MONTHS after they have reimbursed you they come back and ask for receipts asking for more information and receipts. When you provide the requested information they claim you never had the service and in my case they stared a never had the surgery and demand back payment for any debit card usage. I had to file a formal complaint against the company with the Attorney General's office.

Long wait times.

Merck uses this company and the customer service wait times at Alight are terrible. TERRIBLE. Called and their automated system did not work well at all. They give you the option to press 1 to have them call you back when your time in queue comes around but the automated system did not accept it. I had hoped their service would improve with the recent name change but that clearly has not been the case.

This company is does not even stay consistent with their own policy's and procedures when it comes to FSA and HSA Accounts. I have had claims denied that are the exact same as others that have been approved. Their customer service does not even try to make sense of it they just say it is what it is.

Terrible service

It takes two hours to get connected if you call their customer service. And they keep charging fees on my HSA account and never respond to any requests.

Worst Company

They cannot process accurately or timely, I could not access MY MONEY for months because of their mistakes. Constantly blocking my YSA card. Duke needs another contractor.
Web site is not up to date and inaccurate. Useless.

Switch from them asap

Four hours to connect to someone just to have them tell me they didn't know how to do their job. I gave them simple suggestions of what they could do to provide better service (like get a manager) and they ignored everything and said I'm trying my best. No you are not. If you were, you would take some sort of action, anything, anything at all... They just sat on the phone saying they couldn't do anything until I hung up since they were wasting my time.

I'm very dissappointed in Alight, who manages our company's HSA / FSA Program. They send you robotic responses to questions and receipt submittals that have nothing to do with what you asked. Try to call them and you spend an hour as "the next person in line" - but they never ever answer the phone. It's a one way service - where you do all of the work and they just give you more work. No way to talk to a human being. No way to email a chain of correspondence. I rate these people a big fat ZERO.

Deceptive Mailing
November 30, 2022

After I selected a plan for 2023 I received a mailing from Alight. Envelope said "Time-Sensitive Response Needed" Inside was a small note (see black) that said 'there is nothing you need to do."
This was confusing and should not have been sent.
When I phoned Alight they would not let me speak to anyone about this

Incompetence personified
November 28, 2022

Had a court ordered QUADRO issued and accepted on June 2,2022 and as of November 28,2022 the issue is still not resolved. They consistently recalculate and review the paperwork, promise to call with updates that you never receive and when you get the documents for your choice of disbursement the signature page is missing so you have to repeatedly have to start the whole process over. In my opinion they should fire all the upper management and get some people in there who actually know what there doing and then train there representatives to properly process any retirement payouts. This has cost me thousands of dollars and the stress and frustration I have gone through is unparalleled in all of my 68 years of dealing with ANY business. Worst doesn't even come close to describing this company.

For adding Health Insurance thru this company is a nightmare. I had called them 20 times in last 4 weeks and still waiting on their paper work. Worst Company. There is no option to give less than 1 star, so have to put 1 star there.

I can't login on my iPhone. It's just an indefinite loop of changing my password and never getting in so I have to use my iPad. Then there's a notification letting me know I have messages but when I click on it it's just a blank page. Then I submitted a dental claim on my FSA then months later they requested a bill which I added when I submitted the payment but they required more info that I wasn't told of until I called them. It's so frustrating to use. Thank goodness once I use up the funds I'm done with it.

Incompetent agents
November 15, 2022

2 years of totally incompetent agents, Had no idea how to answer my questions. Took 2 hours to change part d from aetna to wellcare. Agent bordered on $#*!ed. Last year had an agent who had an african accent that could not be understood. My company has forced me to use this company but thy are horrible.

Horrible Customer Service

The worst company to possibly try to contact to ever exist. Working on a pension benefit from a client who is deceased. After numerous 2 hour long wait times to get through to any customer service representative we finally received a check in the mail. However, the check withheld federal taxes after we submitted three different times that we did not want withholding. So we sent the check back and requested them send us the full amount with no withholding. Two months later here we are, no repsonse from them. Can't get through to anyone on the phone. Absolutely the worst company I have ever had to deal with.

My nephew died four and a half months ago. He had life insurance and my father is the beneficiary. Between them and the Hartford we keep getting the runaround. Somebody is lying to us and I don't know who. Alight blames it on my nephew's employer, The Hartford blames it on Alight and the employer says they have done everything that was asked of them. I was told my father would have a check by yesterday. Now today they say they have been waiting on more info from the employer. He "attempted" to call the employer while I was on the phone so I could talk to them and they supposedly told him they can't talk to anyone other than Alight or Hartford. Sounds suspicious to me and I will call the employer later today. I actually have her home phone number as she was a friend of my nephew's. If they needed more info and that is what we are waiting on, why didn't they call to inform me of that instead of making my dad think he would have a check by now? My dad wants to hire an attorney and I think that is what we are going to do. I will update my review as developments occur.

Flexible Spending Farse
October 25, 2022

Your money is taken for flexible spending but spending it is not always allowed. If you leave your employer, they do not communicate (even upfront) that you have just a few days to utilize your funds. NO COMMUNICATION WHATSOEVER!
If regular customer service cannot answer questions, you can always wait 24-48 hrs. For a supervisor to call back.
