We love browsing books, drinking coffee, and talking with people who love good stories.
Alibris enjoys a generally positive reputation among customers, particularly for its wide selection of used books at competitive prices and reliable shipping. Many customers appreciate the timely delivery and the ability to track orders, contributing to overall satisfaction. However, concerns arise regarding the variability in book conditions, with some items not meeting expectations, and delays in shipping for urgent needs. Additionally, the separate shipping fees for each book can deter purchases. Despite these issues, the platform remains a favored choice for many due to its extensive inventory and user-friendly website.

Shipping gets outrageous, last time I ordered 1 of my books went to the billing address so money down the drain for me. I hope I get all my books
Love shopping at Alibris. I can find most books that I'm interested in, and save money.
I really loved how easy it was to see the cheapest prices for the books and manga I had bought! The only thing that I was worried about was that the free shipping that I was eligible for only shoed up once I was at the end of reviewing my order, but even then it wasn't a problem!
Selections are as stated (used) and shipping is efficient.
1. I am so pleased to have finally secured a copy of this book.
2. Everything was quick and easy.
Good bargains! I shop here frequently. Always pleased with their bargains.
User friendly. Good selection of books and prices.
I dont understand why if you're purchasing multiple items from the same seller that you have to pay multiple shipping costs for each item and not one discounted flat rate
Great prices and great selection to complete a curriculum book list
Easily found the book I was looking for & was able to find a softcover used one in good condition at an amazing price.
It was confusing with the discount, it really wasn't as stated... I may have gotten a cheaper book but then the shipping was like 7 bucks...
Blessings to you, Lisa
On 5 May 2021, I rented an ebook entitled Biology by Lisa Urry for 90 days from Alibris. After I paid, I received an email link from Alibris, pointing me to VitalSource. I had to create a new account on VitalSource Bookshelf website to access my rented ebook. Fine. I did exactly as I was told. After I successfully logged into the VitalSource Bookshelf website, I could not read the ebook. Never mind, let's try downloading the VitalSource Bookshelf reader app onto my laptop to read the ebook offline, still no luck. Then I clicked on the Launch Courseware button in the VitalSource Bookshelf website. My browser took me to the StudyEdge Facebook page and made me answer 10 biology questions (university level questions which to me are quite difficult) to win some games. To me, this is so fishy. Immediately, I contacted the VitalSource support team and the customer service officer said I can only read the ebook on the StudyEdge website because the publisher is StudyEdge. Fine. I went to the StudyEdge website and there is a ZOOM room that provides help. When I tried to join the StudyEdge ZOOM room, no one was manning it. I could not even join the ZOOM room in the first place. When I emailed StudyEdge, they pointed me back to VitalSource. StudyEdge claimed that they are not a book publisher! Until now, 24 hours after I paid for the rental of the ebook, I did not even get to see the content page of the book. There are obviously some bugs in Alibris book rental system. I have just opened a resolution request with Paypal to get a full refund from Alibris, who insisted that my ebook is already "opened" and not eligible for a single cent of refund. If you are thinking of getting anything digital from Alibris, think again.
Easy to find Books and Seller information. Easy to update personal information.
There was some weirdness with adding and removing items from my cart (once accidentally), but overall I'm very happy with the site.
Answer: Let's just say, they advertise falsely. They misrepresent what they are selling. Buyer beware.
Answer: Hi Dennis, That depends on where the seller is located and where your deliver address is as well. Generally, shipments within the States are delivered within a week or so, though holiday shipping might slow down a bit. If you send us the details with your order number in an email to info@alibris.com we can look into the specifics for you. Thank you for writing. Michael B. Alibris Customer Service

Answer: HI Zoila, Delivery timeframes within the States are usually between 3 and 8 days, but it depends on where the seller is that is shipping the item to you. If you have already placed an order, please contact us at info@alibris.com with your order details and we can investigate for you. Thank you for writing. Michael B. Alibris Customer Service
Answer: Really Michael, contact you directly? Why should we have to. There is a bad trend here. Seems MANY of us contact you and you DONT respond
Answer: I saw the fake stellar reviews and did not dig deeper. I til... I had an issue. Initially, I wanted to give a small seller some business after COVID and the site looked really good. What a big mistake that was! Shame on this outfit.
