I couldn't check out as a guest because I'd dealt with you before. Didn't seem to be any way except by new password - unnecessary waste. Why can't I sometimes check out one way, sometimes another?
I had a basket with two books, then was asked to log in, went to reset my password as I forgot I had an account and when i logged back in, my cart was gone! No way to reset it!
I hoped to buy a book (non audio) for an address in the U.K. Using my Visa card with a billing address in the U.S.A.
I could not change the billing address to U.S.A.
Most Sites allow that.
Postage costs are really important in the post-Brexit context. It would be better to be able to see them before reaching the final checkout. Otherwise no problems.
Very pleasant. It would be good to be able to see the shipping costs while still managing the items in the cart, before moving into the purchase itself.
Very good, except for one little detail: When I selected the book 'A razor for a goat' to transfer it to the shopping basket, the ALibris site said that it was a 'New' book (which is what I want) but by the time I came to pay for the book the ALibris site was no longer saying what condition the book is in. It better had be a 'New' book!
I still can't change the billing address. I guess I could add the same card, then delete the other, if the robot will allow me to have two cards with the same number.
It was not clear which address, billing or shipping, I should add on the page with the credit card. I entered the wrong one, and was later not able to change it. Order has correct shipping (Yay) but incorrect billing address. Your fault, not mine.
So far I've just place the order. A great and easy experience placing the order. Will see how long it takes for the book to get here and the conditions of the book.
Zero impressed with the shakedown when you say other buyers have bought the item flagged, -- and as soon as it's flagged it gone.

It was fine but... I had to change my password and after I had done so my basket was empty which meant I had to go through the whole process of finding my items again.
Placing order was a straightforward process. So far, so good.
The PayPal option would not allow me to continue to the next page, forcing the need for my card details to be given. The purchase did not feel secure.
Fast and efficient. Slight irritation - I failed to select card type when keying in my card details and you cleared my card number so I had to key it in again
Very straight forward BUT I hadn't noticed that there was an option to check what edition of a book I wanted after my 3rd purchase here. Maybe make those options more noticeable

Simply the best means of finding and receiving quality books, used or new and always well packed and safe - despite the best efforts of postal companies to destroy the books!
All fine. However had to identify type of credit card having entered in the card number. Would have thought that would be automatic having put in the card number?

Very good but need it to be easier to edit addresses. Once a mistake creeps into the billing address it is hard to fix it.
Excellent as always, though I see shipping costs more, so it would be useful if Alibris could provide a list of sellers that offer discounts for multiple orders.
Last time I visited alibris website was 4 years ago, and you guys still managed to have the same, retro, minimal, but very straightforward layout. Such a breeze.
Payment system not compatible with my mobile phone browser resulting in 3 time wasting emails to your customer services when I need the item delivered for Christmas. Bit of a nightmare!
