- Paypal not available to pay in the web desktop version. On the mobile version a "paypal" button appears but doesn't work.
- The final page to place order is a bit confusing
Trying to pay by PayPal just kept returning to "you need to select a payment method". Also, when I decided to trust paying with a card, after I clicked to complete checkout, the price changed.
Shopping was fast and efficient, no problems or hassles, just a pity the seller is in the US as it will take longer to arrive and more chance of hassels or loss, but it will be worth it.
I just placed order, hopefully it will come quicker than the order I'm waiting for.
I did not tick the right box about which credit card I was using i. E. visa or mastercard. I got an error message but lost the input of my number which was irritating.
PayPal wasn't straightforward as I had to enter my card details plus wouldn't allow me to choose options on my data management. Hesitated before going ahead.
Not the easiest website to navigate, especially when choosing items to order.
However we're pleased with our order and the prices seem very competitive.
The instructions on the website are clear which saves a lot of time in ordering. Alibris had the books I wanted wheresa other sellers I searched didn't. So a good buying experience,
Good service for alibris but Brexit has made it more difficult for us to buy books from the UK because of customs charges which often cannot be known beforehand and this raises problems with the Italian post.
Normally when you begin your credit card number, the type of card is immediately recognized (ie visa, etc). Now I had to go back and mention the type of card and then complete the numbers again.
I was not happy to discover that I was automatically signed up for your newsletter on the order confirmation page, having deselected it on the previous screen.
I wanted to pay with PayPal but was unable to do so. After several frustrating attempts I ended up putting my card details in which I didn't want to do.
Your blocking me on my workhorse computer where I keep my records is inconvenient - forcing me to move to this computer means I have to transfer the purchase details manually. Not impressed.
I have ordered a book from you the P&P is £2.99 for UK delivery but over £15 for the Channel Islands.
If you use Royal mail the cost to you will be the same for Jersey@ £2.99
I would have liked to have an approximate date for delivery before paying for the book. I am now risking over £11 and might not get the book before my course begins.
It is good, but I can't find an option to choose which country I'd prefer my books to come from (I'd prefer to buy as locally as possible).
I'm in the UK. Alibris have always been good for ordering from the US; the delivery is a little longer but reliable and the rate is universal and cheap
Easy. No problems. Not Amazon (so far as I know) which is a big plus. Amazon is a productive river and forest, not a hyper-consuming pseudo-organism). Keep it non-Amazon!
Good information about the book title and sellers made it easy to order.
Simply smooth and easy -- then again, I very familiar with shopping at alibris, so I am not surprised by experiencing no surprises!
After many years of online custom, registration could have been a little more transparent.
I don't want you to retain my credit card details, and definitely not the CVC
I would like a gift option - at least to say I sent the book (how will the recipient know otherwise?).
