Their dispute and claim center is biased, never trust Chinese. I ordered phone cases and supplier wrote wrong address and USPS reported the status "Undeliverable to the address" the shipment lost in the limbo, my money is kept for 40 days now, and this is what Alibaba Claim Center told me... the tracking numbers in the USPS website are "RI*******CN" and "RI*******CN"

I launched a complaint against Fushun Lusheng Machine Co after they failed to deliver my product I had waited over 8 months and had been told story after story of why they could not deliver the didn't have any problems making a sample in which I approved then I forwarded half the deposit to the tune of over $6000 US half the order was for chrome products and the other half was powder coated the story they told me that they could not do the grinding for the chrome. With powder coating you do not need to grind and they still did not deliver with my frustration I found a new other factory on AliBaba who had provided me samples of acceptable chrome products so believing that the problem withFushun Lusheng Machine Co was the grinding I had all the molds and blanks sent to the new factory once the mold showed up at the new factory I was quickly informed that the molds were unusable and would be good for one or 2 samples I submitted a complaint to the complaints Center and I patiently waited to my surprise I checked my phone and it said the case had been closed I got to work and checked my emails there was nothing there all their emails had gone into the junk mail in their comments they told me to contact law enforcement which I believe is a joke and they still allow them to have gold status so they can screw someone else this just proves that the complaints Center does not work
I agree with other reviews that alibaba.com is just a hive of thieves. My daughter ordered some Playstation4 consoles from a supplier that had been "verified" by Alibaba. After paying for the requested number of consoles, the supplier contacted her saying the minimum number that could be ordered was 10 not the 2 originally stated on Alibaba. We paid for the additional consoles then were told that we had to pay customs fees so the logistics company could release the goods. This was paid then we were told to pay a late fee, in all we paid USD2000. All payments made via Western Union which did ring alarm bells but I figured a lot of Asian companies prefer to use this payment method so dismissed my concerns.
Needless to say, we never received the goods and Alibaba were absolutely no help. All they did was remove the supplier from the site but I know they will re-list under a different name so they can scam other people. It's appalling that Alibaba does absolutely nothing to verify sellers using their service and allows scammers to blatantly abuse their system.

I have bought a few things from this site. Some with great results and some so so.
I had a dispute with one of the suppliers and we resolved it directly and he deposited a refund to me via paypal so I released his funds from AliExpress. On another purchase from a different supplier I placed and paid for my order but the the supplier came back with a stipulation that there was a no return no rfund on the product once it was shipped so I cancelled my order before it was shipped and I got a refund put back on my credit card in about 3 weeks unfortunately because of the currency exchanges I lost about $200.00 but did get the full refund put through. I am now in a dispute with a cell phone company through AliExpress as the phone I ordered doesn't work on North American networks even though they claimed it did. If I can't resolve this through AliExpress I plan on having VISA refund my money. I'm wondering if anyone out there has tried to get a refund this way and if they were successful.

I am in the human hair industry. I posted an ad looking for Brazilian and European hair. I ordered samples and got good hair from one of them, but when I placed a larger order I was sent cheap Chinese hair. This happened with 3 different Chinese human hair manufacturers.

Answer: Alibaba does not offer any protection from either scams or mistakes. Dispute resolution to them is you lose your money or pay more money and then lose it. Only pay with CC and then give alibaba 1 chance to fix then dispute with CC company and get money back. IMPORTANT in contract state that you get a full refund of any monies if their are any problems.
Answer: I would echo Hugh K's comments. Never ever rely on Alibaba whether the supplier is trusted or gold whatever. Insist on paying via PayPal. Ask seller to send you PayPal invoice and before making payment, call and confirm with PayPal if you are protected by PayPal in case seller doesn't deliver as promised. Personally, I stay away from purchasing via Alibaba. Try Dhgate.com. I'm doing all my business from this site

Answer: This is what they tell you but in fact it doesn't happen. Alibaba only look after their traders. The traders buy gold supplier stars like we buy lollipops. Gold star supplier means nothing. Ghangzou Mega Beauty firstly showed 3 stars, the following week 4 stars, following week 5 stars and the next week 6 stars. I complained to Alibaba who don't care as long as they get the money. Now DHGate do not release the payment until you receive your goods. Buy from DHGate to ensure you are not scammed.
