I retuned the first pair of jean which did not fit for a store credit to avoid the $10 return fee as I planned to try another style. These did not fit either so I requested a cash refund. They charged $10 fee for the return but absolutely refused to refund my credit so I am now out $217. I wonder if this is legal.
The worst customer service experience I've ever had.
I bought an online gift card for my father for Christmas, that was never sent to him. I continuously called the company, spent long periods of time just waiting on the line, even hours without answer. Finally, after over a week, I got a hold of a customer service person. At this point, I wanted a refund since it was January and past Christmas, and the gift was never sent. They told me they don't do refunds on gift cards which isn't indicated anywhere on their terms and conditions, nor anywhere on the website. The person told me that they would send the gift card to him again and never did. I now call almost three weeks after my initial purchase to dispute the charge once again, and they still didn't offer me a refund or any type if accommodations, and sent me the gift card during the call, pretending like it was already sent prior.
This business is trying to scam you. I am very disappointed, because I loved this brand for what they make.
Take this into consideration and don't shop there.
Below: email confirmation I received while being on the call
I have bought jeans from their website and experience extremely shoddy customer service in terms of returns. They seem to try every trick in the book to not return your money. I returned the jeans I bought and did not hear back anything for a whole month, by which time I had forgotten to check for the refund of this return. When it finally struck me, I checked and saw no refund so I contacted the customer service, only to be told that there was some issue with the labels on my return and so they could not except the return. When were they going to bring this up with me or were they just happily going to keep 500+ dollars plus all the clothing for themselves? They finally sent it back to me and the entire box was torn apart and the clothing was falling out. I re-contacted customer service and they kept harassing me and asking for photos of some label, I sent them all the photos of all the labels that were on the clothing and then they said oh OK thank you we will send you a return label to send this back to us again. Made absolutely no sense to me and it took me over four months to get my refund. Never buying from this shop again, I don't care about the quality, there are many good quality clothing stores in the world, but one with Shoddy practices is off my list
We have been loyal customers of this brand for many years (since the beginning) Fast forward to these modern times where everything goes on sale but nothing is returnable. Be VERY careful of what you purchase here. Make sure it fits and it's to your liking because everything seems to be 'final sale' in certain aspects of the website. This is not the 'customer service agent's doing, this is the company itself and their higher ups. The customer service is outstanding and responsive and have been nothing but gracious to us and apologetic. They (e commerce customer service agents) hope to change the policies and loosen up the reigns from corporate on the final sale items. They understand how 'online only' shopping can be dicey for many and since we are relying on that these days, it's always a gamble. But again, the brand is some of the most gorgeous products and denim you can find and customer service is top notch (don't get mad at the messengers) Possibly look to Nordstrom for your AG needs if you are unsure of product fit since at least Nordstrom the return policies are looser. Other than that you cannot go wrong w/ AG quality. It's some of the best out there.
Fit, wash, durability. AG jeans take the cake along all dimensions. Maybe 15 years ago it was 7 jeans and maybe 8 years ago it was Citizens, but now it's all about AG.
They charge you shipping cost for return which is ridiculous. All other companies do free return. Bad service! Not recommended.
AG jeans are seriously cute. True-They are shorts. True-They are high riders. VERY TRUE- They are AWESOME! If you want a pair of jean shorts, go check them out RIGHT NOW!
Bought two pair and the crotch started wearing out in 2 months. Now I cant get corporate to call me back.
Answer: Paige Denim (decent stretch, overall great quality of product), DSTLD Denim (similar in stretch 'recipe', very durable) Both these lines might save a bit of money during their promo's and sales (which are more frequent) The other company we recommend is Everlane (new denim line that's up there in price but not as extreme) To go a step further into 'fast fashion territory' try Express or American Eagle, but be warned. Sizing inconsistencies abound.
Answer: Some of their product seemed to be 'streamlined' and made elsewhere (perhaps in the 'fast fashion' manufacturing plants?) I noticed the quality in some items is not the same as it was say, three years ago... we have items from then that just lasted so long (henleys and t shirts, and three pairs of jeans) and they are still in excellent condition. Lately we noticed the stitching and overall 'feel' of the clothing is almost akin to something we'd get at Target or Kohl's. Upon doing some research we find many of these designer brands have shifted their manufacturing to a cheaper form of oversees labor or division, and we all know what happens when a company does that... disposable fashion you have to buy again next year. Quality going downhill and a lack of 'making things right' (no returns or exchanges) is a sign they are desperate for business numbers... we as the customer, suffer in the process unfortunately. (Try Paige Denim... they're pretty good w/ returns and their 'stretch denim' is manufactured rather well)
