Bad service
December 4, 2022

One month ago, my car started over heating. I pull my vehicle over and they left my car sitting for over 13 hours at a gas station unlocked. One good thing they did do was let me and my husband and kids leave without showing I D. Which I wasn't doing anyway. I told them to tow the SUV to my mechanics house and they towed it to my apartment instead then had the nerve to charge a tow on their screw up. I asked for the tow back, and a lady called and told me that it was back on my account, turns out it wasn't. Then I try to use the gas, the driver tells me that they no longer put gas in at the location, just that they tow you to the nearest location because of fast prices. Ridiculous. I used to live Triple AAA, but this time they really pissed me off.

I have never had an issue when calling AAA! Tonight for example I live in Connecticut, my EV literally died on the Berlin Turnpike and I called AAA. The call was answered in about 45 seconds she took my information and phone number. In two minutes they called back stating they had a two company in route and it would be at max 60 minutes! Another 1-2 minutes the tow truck driver called and gave me an ETA of 30-35 minutes and he was actually early! His name was Eddie Reyes and he was quick and efficient. He was extremely polite and well mannered and had no problem taking my car to New Haven to a charging station that is quick to charge! In a time that is extremely frustrating and stressful especially in the freezing temperatures he was kind and understanding as well as patient and made it a much easier situation to deal with! So thank you Eddy and AAA

Legal scam artists

They have legally found a way to steal from people. It used to be a good company I heard from my grandma but they now just legally steal from people. If I had a suggestion I would say the safest thing would be to stay away from them unless you like getting stolen from. They will even almost tell you it in the fine print. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I could definitely see them going bankrupt if people start reading the reviews before they mess with AAA.

NO LOYALTY

NO LOYALTY; Ive been a member for over 20+ years and the automatic renewal was messed up somehow even though I received a card valid through 4/2023. I went to renew by phone and they said I haven't been a member for over a year and if I wanted to join, that I would have to start a new account and lose the 20+ years. How can there not be confusion when I received the card? Where is the loyalty? Find another company.

Lost lifetime customer

AAA Southern Auto Club USED to be a great service. Unlimited towing within town, and 2 100 mile tows.
Now u get THREE PERIOD then MUST PAY $100!?
Ever since this company was purchased by Northern investors it has become horrible service. I would strongly recommend DO NOT JOIN!

After 18 years of being a AAA member. I was ousted by AAA. No reason, no notice, no email, no mail. I only discovered this after making a call today (October 29,2022) asking about my membership bill that I normally pay each September (I had not received the bill). According to the CSR@ AAA, there was nothing I could do to resolve this discontinuation of membership. I barely use my AAA membership card, I also pay for my Daughters membership to protect her and my Grandchildren. This is quite the slap in the face after having the comfort of their service for almost 20 years. I've always bragged about AAA, being a single parent, and now Grandparent. AAA you could be more respectable to long time customers. Expect more posts about this disgrace and leaving me and my Family basically abandoned without the peace of mind you've provided in past years. Loyal member since 2002, it reads on the card. Despicable.

Very bad
October 28, 2022

Two days of terror with AAA my car was damaged in my office on Wednesday afternoon I called for them to pick it up and they would take it to my house at 8 at night after two hours they call me and tell me to wait two more hours I mean 12:00 am cancel the service for ridiculously bad service. I leave the vehicle parked outside my office on a lonely street. But the worst was yesterday, Friday, I asked for the service again at 9:00 a.m., I waited until 3:00 p.m. and after 5 calls they finally picked up the vehicle, this was the worst experience of my life with a service company, I do not recommend it for nothing this is the last year i have this crap

I won't quit AAA... BUT

I would like to say that I have been with AAA for 4 years, I have never had a problem. They have helped me out on many occasions and I'm very grateful.
That being said I have to say that they did not help me out today. All I needed was an email stating where my car was picked up and where it was brought to for a warranty company. They sent the wrong information, I was not in New Jersey.
I called back spoke to a woman named Hazel and she tried her best to have this mistake fix today.
Because they would not fix it until tomorrow I cannot get a rental car until possibly Monday. There is illness in my family and this changes everything.
Hazel's supervisor says it can not be emailed to me before tomorrow morning at 9:30. Does anybody believe that that is the case? I know I don't. Aren't they sitting in front of a computer? Please don't insult me.
I will not be quitting AAA, but I did need to vent.

Terrible

Today I got stranded with my car and I called triple AA. I have been waiting for them 3 hours and nobody has any answers as to when they will be coming. I was stuck with my 6 month old baby and all they do is give me the run around. I have been with them for over 15 yrs and today I decide to cancle them indefinitely. I've had enough. I had to call another tow truck service which cost me out of pocket. Never again. People triple AAA is not what it used to be they don't care about you go another company you have been warned.

Its been 8 hours and I'm still waiting for AAA to come. Had to abandon my car in the middle of the street. I was told 5 hours ago that my car was assigned to a tow truck driver already but that we clearly a lie! What's the point of having AAA? ITS 4am in the morning now!

I called on 10/1/2022 at 2:14pm. They said they would send help/towing approx from the windows between 2:30pm and 5pm.

I called them back at 4:56pm to further inquire about the progress of my help ticket. The lady informed me the ticket was CANCELLED!?!? After I had already waited for 3+ hours.

I had to call a local towing company to assist me.

Slandered

Had AAA since 1987 used them arox 6 times in 35 years.
Last winter alternator went on rv call AAA for tow they sent tow truck out and towed me to there station.
6/9/22 I get a letter that there not going to renew me for disproportionate use of services
Witch is slander I called for tow and I had RV towing.
I called and stopped at Duluth MN AAA no one can tell me what I did wrong!

The only thing I did was use the service.
Use to be a good company I guess not any more!

DO NOT continue to use AAA for roadside assistance. I have been a faithful AAA premiere member for 25 years and i always felt comfort knowing i had a valuable company and service in my back pocket when i was in need. That changed very quickly. I was traveling home down 75 south by Adairsville, Georgia and my car broke down. I was stuck on the side of the highway with family and a dog. With confidence i called AAA and put in a service request. I did NOT hear back from help. I called again an hour and a half later and they said they were trying to find someone to help with road side assistance. I then waited another hour and called them again. No luck. The representative suggested i try to find someone on my own to come help me. WTH? That's your best service plan AAA? The one service that i need you to do for me and that i have paid for you to do for me? Unbelievable. So i had to find someone to come help me on my own which thankfully i was able to. AAA did NOT help me at all. After sitting on the side of the highway for 5 hours and having a mobile mechanic help me, that i had to find on my own, i was thankfully on my way. Thank you to Brumleys Mobile Mechanic service out of Adiarsville for helping me when a company like AAA, who i have trusted for 25 years, FAILED me. I called the next day to speak with management at AAA and they didn't really seem to have much empathy or didn't seem to really care that i was cancelling with them immediately. So... take this how you want. I just wanted to share that i am no longer a AAA member and i do NOT recommend anyone else using them. I strongly suggest that if you are a AAA member that you do not renew your membership for next year.

Roadside assistance

I have never had such a bad experience before! Terrible customer service and horrible towing! 100% would not recommend. They left my mom on the side of a dark road for 4 hours in the middle of the night before sending a tow truck. Then the tow truck left the car in the wrong place at the body shop and my mom now has to pay to tow it to the right place.

I have been an AAA fan since I was a kid. It always provided excellent service and, to me, is a necessity if you own a car for all kinds of reasons. It has other advantages too that have been added on over the years. However, today was a bad day for AAA.
I had a situation where I needed to move my old classic car from our garage to our driveway. We have home repair people coming tomorrow morning and it has to be moved. We tried renting a truck to do it as we have a tow rope, but they screwed up our reservation and no others were available anywhere in our area. As a last resort, we called AAA because we know they would send a tow truck.
The tow truck driver was awful, didn't do the job and didn't even call us until after he left our property. I called AAA back to complain and they said they would send someone else. A supervisor then called me and said that wasn't something they do as part of their service. She said their service was for emergencies only.
I explained this was an emergency because we've been with air conditioning all summer and this car must be moved before the workman arrive. I told her I tried other options but none were available. NONE. She refused to budge.
I don't understand why, if I'm willing to give up one of my tows to get this done, that AAA won't do it. I was honest about the situation and the original customer service person set it up. The driver did come out. It's not like they are law enforcement or paramedics being taken off someone else's emergency to handle mine. I didn't ask for immediate service. They set up the tow two hours later, when they had down time.
AAA, over the years, has restricted service in many areas and that has bugged me. They wouldn't come help tow our van because we used it for business and had a sign on it. However, a few years later we had an identical van we also used for business but it had no sign and they did come tow it. Even if it was against official policy, AAA could have made an exception and helped me out since it was technically towing a vehicle and not trimming trees or some other nonsense.

Never sign up, never be a customer of AAA. I am a customer for the past 11 years and today on August 27,2022 I called for a concierge service at 4:22PM and at 7:25PM I call AAA and all they say is that they do not have a tow service ready and they do not have an ETA.

Very very poor service, this company is a joke!

Extremely disappointing and frustrated, I have paid them 11 years and this just only my 4th call overall. Never have they been prompt, but this time it is such a joke. They have never improved and rather the response is cold and no empathy.

PLEASE DO NOT BECOME A MEMBER OF AAA.

Horrible

Horrible. They used to be so good. NOT NOW! I've been with them 42 years. I'm canceling my membership. Trying to get a live person on the phone is challenging. Then, they don't show up as promised. I was told a tow would arrive 1 hour after my call. When they didn't show, I called and was told it would be another 45 minutes. Imagine if your wife, son or daughter was stuck on the side of the freeway. You cannot count on AAA.

I have been a member for over 17 years. Now they only want you to request your tow online. If you speak to someone. They keep you on hold if you call back. Over 45 min. Terrible service now.
