Had an account with them for a while, and I signed up with account for no overdraft. However, first convenience bank some how managed to still charge me those fees and are continuing to charge account while I am discussing with managers about issue. Terrible service and will be closing and taking business else where. I Hope pandemic shuts them down along with poor review website. First conviene bank is mockery of business they might as well operate in the black market!
I've been banking with First Convenience for several years now and find it to be a very good bank with affordable fees, when necessary, compared to the larger "Big Banks." I suspect some of the negative reviews above are because those folks might not know how to balance a checkbook and fall into the "fees" category. I have a direct deposit checking account and have not had any problems at all getting funds when I need them. The only negative thing is "whoever" repairs their ATMs. They need more help keeping the bank's ATM working because they seem to frequently be "out of order!" That's NOT "convenience." I find the bank's tellers and other personnel GREAT!
First off, the man on the phone was VERY nice and tried his best to be helpful. My mom passed away 6 months ago after taking care of her for 2.5 months watching her suffer and pass from cancer. My sister worked diligently as the executor of the estate to get all of my moms things in order. After almost 7 months, we received our inheritance payment. Believe me, I would rather have my mother back than the money. The point is...The bank put a hold on the check. I get that. I didnt even ask for any of it when I deposited it. They told me that it would be held from 9/11 to 9/18...being available on 9/18. I had to even sign a paper stating that this information and acknowledged it. It is still being held. I waited on hold for an hour...no kidding...and they told me that because of where it came from, they revised the hold and it now would be even longer. This is hard enough as it is. I have had this same account with them for at least 12 years...12 YEARS! I will be closing my account and going somewhere else. This is sickening that they do this to people. I would NOT bank here! You will find better elsewhere that actually care (not talking about the man on the phone). Go somewhere else!
This is the worst bank for customer service on the planet. They don't have a rep you can talk to 24 hours. I had to wait from Friday night until Monday morning to report fraudulent use of my debit card. Don't use this bank for anything
The customer service at this bank, especially via telephone, is horrible! I have NEVER banked with any other bank as ridiculous as this one. They give you an over draft fee even if you have over draft protection and once they put your account into the negative because of the fees they give you, they add a negative fee charge on top of that! Tried to reason with them on these fees and they refused to help or wave fees. I bank with BB&T and Wells Fargo and anytime there is a problem with my account, they are willing to help. I only opened this account because of my son but we will be closing it. I would NOT recommended this bank even if you need a second chance account, I would first seek a real bank with the means to accommodate their customers.
My father has an account with this bank and when he got diagnosed with Dementia and it was declared that he can't handle money anymore, so I added my name to the account which I'm his daughter. I have POA over him to where I handle all his business. I gave the bank everything that they needed to show that he has it severe, but the bank still gives a temp card so that he can overdraft his account so when he gets his SSI, he doesn't have nothing left and then I have to take from my personal account to help him when he messes up. I have made numerous complaints and there are notes on the account not to do certain things. No courtesy calls to the person who has the POA over the Dementia parent. They don't listen and I really want to get my attorney involved. This is a poor bank who does not listen
Worst bank ever customer service is a joke, some business made an unauthorized charge to my card and they say there was nothing they can do but they sent my card to a negative after hours and hours of arguing and explaining that hasn't been solved yet and is not pennies is a good amount of money...! If you can take your business to another bank this is not worth it
There is nothing convenient about your Bank and its services. To have a customer repeatedly enter their SSN # and wait for an hour when it is just a question that needs an answer is ludicrous. I close my account because of the lack of help and care not juts by your staff but the bank services in general. You need to change your name to First Inconvenience Bank.
Worst bank I've ever dealt with I had money in my account to cover everything then I see they hit me with 68.00 NSF and when I called I was treated like crap. First she said their was no NSF charges so once I pointed it out she said we should have charged you 3 times and never even once explained why. Watch out!
This bank has caused me so many problems i can't even use my card online i have updated my billing information twice and i still am not able to use my card anywhere i have never in my life have had so many issues with a bank before it's really ridiculous you guys need to a whole lot better the second i can switch my bank i plan to
My reason for being disappointed with first convenience bank. Just making a dispute on unauthorized charges in the past. I had my debit card, mobile app and online services revoked permanently. Now tell me what is the point of being member of this bank. If you have no capability of checking on your balances or doing any transactions without a debit card. Only because I had made dispute transactions in the dispute. I personally feel non-existent to first convenience bank. If there is any high level supervisor of first convenience bank that is able to assist me with this matter. Please do assist me or else I shall have no other choice. But to always advise people not to do business with first convenience bank.
We opened an account with this bank to have a second bank for cashing checks etc. when our regular bank is closed. We had less than $100 in the account. When I tried to use my debit card it was denied. When I went to the branch they said I didn't have an account. Couldn't find anything in my name or SS#. Then they kept my card. My husband went to another branch, same thing happened to him but he kept his card.
Manager said since there was no activity on the account they charged us fees until all the money was gone. Then they closed the account. We NEVER received statements or any form of communication stating they were charging fees and closing account.
If you use this bank be aware of your balance at all times! I will never use this bank again.
I would recommend a credit union instead, in the past someone somehow charged my debit card 2 times (how if i have the card) had to cancel order another and then the same thing happened. I then got scamed with a fake check warning the clerk it ls the first time i deposit this check to find out a week later it had bounce and instead of doing a investigation after i paid 5000 they decide to close my account not doing a thing for investigating.
I closed my account after a dispute issue in which they owed me $. Every time I called to resolve it, it was over an hour wait to speak to anyone- only to he transferred to another department and wait another hour OR be hung up on and having to start the process all over again. It never got resolved. The ball got bounced from person to person until I finally gave up and just closed my account. Yup, they kept my $. Their goal is to make things as difficult as possible so that customers finally give up. DO NOT BANK WITH THEM.
My mother was Diagnosed With covid 19 earlier this year. She spent the majority of this year in the hospital. She's home bound can't walk in they locked her out of her online banking. Call customer service was on hold for 30 minutes before I got to talk to anyone I was on the phone with them for 30 minutes and they were still unable to resolve the issue. They said she needed to come into the bank, Again I told them she can't walk and then she's home bound there was still unable to resolve. We have determined that we are going to close the account. If you have an account there I would recommend you close it. Their online app sucks. This should have been an issue resolvable thru a customer service call as with most banks
I feel as if I've been scammed. I was charged for hidden fees. The lady sent my card to the wrong address she enter in the wrong i. D information it's been one problem right after another. I'm finding a knew bank asap. The supervisor was cold and rude as heck.
I got mailed a fraudulent check, i deposited via mobile banking app which it accepted. It locked my account. I didn't know it was fraud i explained and showed them messages and i basically thought it was for this mystery shopper job. Anyway walmart didnt tell me it was fraud at the money center they just could not cash it. He said the numbers were a little high. I didnt know. He even said i should try it on the app since the bank was closed. I didnt know ive been banking with this $#*!ty bank for years and now they are trying to restrict my access over some bull$#*!. I cant even talk to the man in charge to plea my case. $#*! first convenience
It was one thing after another with them. From not giving me my money out of my account to turning my card off without notice(on several occasions); 1 time leaving me stranded 2 hours away from home with no gas and no way to access my account that had money in it; when my daughter was at church (2 hours away) waiting to be picked up (at night). ***Horrible*** management at the NRH location. This lady was very rude every time I had any interactions with or around her. I would drive across town just to avoid her. And when I asked why they turned my card off the girl at the branch said she would find out and call me Monday because the card dept was already closed... it's been over a month and she hasn't called... I still don't have answers.
Needless to say, after 8+ years of using 1st convenience, I had enough. I no longer bank there and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Unprofessional staff I don't care what branch you go to. The atm at the branch I frequent was down for over a month? The customer service is a joke. I have a 13 year old grandchild that can do better. No one and I mean no one will give you the same answer to the same questions. They are a rip off with the fees. I paid for a stop pay $35.00 and the item was still paid and the $35.00 fee was non refundable. I have discontinued both of my direct deposits and found another bank. Aa soon as I pay off my loan all of my accounts will be closed. I don't know how this place is staying open. Please if you are reading this DO NOT BANK AT THIS BANK!
I have been banking at the Valley Ranch location since 2010. They are the best! So helpful & friendly! Always best of customer service. Lucia, Amanda, every singal one of the them are awesome!
