Deeply offended and embarrassed by the bank manager!
January 15, 2023

This happened a few weeks back, but I happened to look something pertaining to the bank online, and I figured I would put this out there. I had recently closed my last acct with my former bank due to increase of fees and such, so I used my cashapp in the meanwhile until I happened across 1st National in Walmart in Bryant, AR. It was new and they were luring customers in, so I thought I would try it. I had received an insurance settlement for my mother, as I'm her heir. (She was recieving payments sporadically when she passed). Her attorney then started began making them out to me. So, I deposited the check to open the new acct with no problem. It was a young man that opened the acct. Fast forward a couple weeks, and I recieved another one. I take it to the bank to make the deposit, and the manager (she was helping me at the counter) says to me in front of another employee and her customers, "I'm gonna have to call and verify this check"...so she gets on the phone AT THE COUNTER WITH EVERYONE LISTENING, and asked them to verify they had issued the check to me! Then, she asked them to verify the first one I had deposited previously! I was humiliated! OF COURSE the checks were issued to me, as they had MY NAME ON THEM, AND WERE MADE OUT TO ME! Even if she needed verification, she should have gone into the closed off office that's available to her. But, NO, she thought she would be cute and make an announcement about it. It was humiliating, and it hurt my feelings. The only reason I didn't complain, was bc it was right before Christmas and I didn't want to anyone to lose their job. I'm clearly more kind and thoughtful than she is...

Fraudulent Charges Being Charged to a Previously CLOSED DEBIT CARD
September 2, 2022

This bank sucks! I went into the branch in new Caney Texas gave the associate my debit card told her It Did Not work, asked her for a new one she gave me a new one told me that the old debit card account was closed that she would shred THE OLD CARD. She activated me a new one and I left. I could not get on the Internet but when I did I noticed that card was still active so I called the Dispute telephone number. They told me there was nothing they could do about it because it was longer than three months. To this day September 2,2022 it Is Not RESOLVED! This Manager woman told me that they saw me on video, I handed theTELLER MY OLD DEBIT CARD and then it shows ME PUTTING THE NEW CARD IN MY WALLET. They said if I could prove on FEBRUARY 8,2022 that I exchange cards then they would investigate it more. I have to do their work for their incompetent people. I would not bank with 1st Convenience Bank nowhere in the United States ever again. I have to do their legwor toGET MY MONEY BACK, I DON'T GET PAID TO DO THEIR JOB. Oh and she told me that, (The Rude Dispute MANAGER), that they don't give out cards that work right there in the bank, She needs to get her FACTS STRAIGHT. The teller activated my card right there so there she is wrong. Very rude manager. I am VERY UPSET, VERY MAD AND PISSED OFF AT 1st Convenience. I WILL NOT BANK WITH THEM ANYMORE. AND IF THEY CAN SCREW ME LIKE THIS THEN HOW MANY OTHER INNOCENT PEOPLE ARE THEY SCREWING TOO? AND IF YOU ARE NOT COMPUTER SMART THEN THEY GOT YOU BIG TIME! SO IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A GOOD BANK GO TO CAPITAL ONE ORE SOME OTHER BANK TO DO YOUR BUSINESS, NOT 1st CONVENIENCE Bank OR 1st NATIONAL BANK ( THEY ARE ONE IN THE SAME). If I was you I think long and hard before opening up an account with 1st Convenience or First National Bank. AS OF RIGHT NOW I'M OUT A PRETTY PENNY. AND I AM ON DISABILITY! SO THEY ARE TAKING MY DISABILITY MONEY, GO FIGURE!

AVOID FOR YOUR LIFE!
January 14, 2022

First convenience is the WORST bank in the history of America and I am unsure of how this bank even still exists. I had a transaction of 102 (approximately) that was cancelled and later processed for 20.69, which I approved of, after speaking with Bath and Body works due to their inventory no longer stocking the item. I was told that it would not be processed by BBW or FNB and come to find out, a few days after I was told this- they processed the 82.00. I called FNB to assure it would NOT process out of my account due to me having overdraft protection- which somehow "disappeared" AND the CSR also assured me MULTIPLE TIMES ON A RECORDED LINE that it was "just pending due to them trying to process it, but it will be denied DUE TO THE OVERDRAFT PROTECTION and would NOT post on the account". Welllll guess what? It is posted on my account and my account is now negative 81.05 because I took what I had left out of the account from me not trusting FNB. I called to speak with a sup, Elijah, she was absolutely TERRIBLE! It sounded like she was working from home, she kept placing me on this silent hold, she had me on hold at one point for about 30 mins and did NOT check in ONCE. She told me to dispute, the dispute dept stated I could NOT because I originally knew about it- even though I clearly explained that I authorized 20.69 due to the other items being no longer available. So now they expect me to pay the 81.05 plus 34.00 overdraft fee, when 1. I was told by FNB multiple times it wouldn't go through and I wouldn't be charged any fees, 2. I ONLY authorized 20.69,3. I had NO money in my account and 4. I had overdraft protection on my account that magically "disappeared". This crap is beyond unacceptable, and I have had this bank for about 10 years, if not longer. That is all ending though because I have stopped my direct deposit from my job and I am going to chase bank TODAY. Not to mention how ridiculous FNB is, they charge a freaking 1.00 fee every transaction to use zelle, A FREE MONEY TRANSFER APP. This is really sickening and highway robbery, I can't even speak to an actual manager or get a corporate number and I am utterly disgusted this is how they treat their "loyal customers" who have been there for years! The number of TERRIBLE reviews says it all, yet they are still in business. Smh. Stay as far away as possible from this bank, they will rob you just like any fraud transactions they allow. I WILL BE following up on any/every legal action possible. I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS, BUT I HAVE TO SELECT AT LEAST 1.

Tip for consumers:

The fees are ridiculous, they dont care about people or losing long term customers either.

10 day hold
November 17, 2021

Where do I begin, there have been many reasons to leave the bank but I stay for two reasons, I need a bank that allows cryptocurrency exchanges and it's a pain to set up a new account for all bills and payments.

This last one did it. I am moving my father and I, my mother passed and he wants a new start. I transferred funds from my crypto, and 2 checks from my father. The crypto hit that day, but one of my checks from my father, who I deposit his checks at least once a month for bills. It's a known person, but there has been a hold on the check for 8 days now. I finally called, since I needed the money ASAP, but luckily, I just transferred money through zelle and covered the rent and security. When I contacted them, I was told checks are subjected to 1-10 day hold. I've never encountered anything like that in the 5 years unacceptable rules and service. I asked what was the reason for the hold. There is not reason they can hold it, as per the agreement I signed. I said that's unacceptable. They said it will be in my account in 2-3 more days. They used dates, I am paraphrasing, if you want references check out my page firstconveincebankisnotsoconveint.com. I said there has to be a reason, then this was my favorite part, they copied and pasted me the information to dispute it and fight for the release of the funds early by writing and mailing a letter. Don't bank here. There tellers that work at the bank branches are very nice and helpful. It's banks flexing their power, and probably can't cover your funds. I'm speculating but since I have no reason given to me, I am going to picture the plot to "The Other Guys"

Thank you

WORST BANK EVER
August 20, 2021

Worst bank ever! I went there to get money almost a month ago. But they did not get the money until almost a month later. They had taken the money from a different account. (mind you, that was $1,500). Today I went and I had just paid all my bills. They told me that they had not taken the money back then, that it was their mistake and that they had to take it NOW. Sure enough, I told them that I DID NOT HAVE enough money in my bank account to withdraw that large amount! I asked the manager/supervisor if she could take give me a week (7 days) to put money in my account, that way my payments don't bounce (extra fees and whatnot). Mind you, I had just told her that I sent all my payments yesterday. She said that was fine, that she was going to call me in 7 days time. I COULDN'T GET IT MORE WRONG, THE MANAGER DID NOT CARE. She took every single cent I had in my account RIGHT AFTER I LEFT THE COUNTER, She lied in front of my face, my mom's face, and my sister. We were all there. I had to beg my family members to lend me money to deposit so I wouldn't have to pay SO $#*!IN MUCH IN FEES. This is the WWOOORRRSSTTT Bank Ever. Beware of the supervisor/manager girl from the one on Transmountain, she's a LIAR (She is short, black straight hair, sort of skinny, liar and is during the morning hours). I had NEVER in my life seen so much incompetence! Of Course I'm mad, who wouldn't be! For a MISTAKE THE BANK MADE. Because that was not my mistake, but I paid for their incompetence. I will be withdrawing all of my money from them and I will be closing my account, as well as my family. That was just horrible. BEWARE OF FIRST NATIONAL BANK!

Let me start by stating that I've been banking for...
October 7, 2009

Let me start by stating that I've been banking for 23

Years. I've had more trouble with this bank than any

Other bank I've been with in 23 years. Every payday I

Have to call them. It all started when I first opened

My Acct. I cashed a check and deposited half of it. I

Used my card the next day to make an online payment

Which they charged me a fee of 34.95 for overdraft

Because they had failed to post it to my acct. I had to

Call and have them remove the charge which they did.

Then I'm supposed to have a $200 overdraft, when I

Went over the amount available by $86 they called me

All day long from an unavailable #, never left a

Message and continued to call all day for several days

Until I finally called the number back. When returning

The call I sat on hold for 25 min waiting, not knowing

Who it was I called because the number doesn't tell

You. This has happened twice in the 3 mo. I've been

With them. Finally I get to talk to someone and they

Inform me that I'm over-drafted, I asked why they

Couldn't just leave a message and they told me

Because it done by computer and they have no control

Of it. Then I get charged an acct. Handling fee of $11

Something because I've not used the ATM card I have

Not received yet 5 times in that month. THE LAST

STRAW- I use my debit card to make a $200 payment

On my cell bill, keep in mind I have a $200 overdraft. I

Get a letter in the mail stating they have charged me

$69.94 in handling fees for paying a $41.75 ATM

Withdrawal on 09/30/09, my current balance is $183

Something. Then another 34.95 for the $200 payment

Made to my cell phone which didn't go through until

10/02/09. Now they tell me the fees are because the

$200 was pending and not available. Now my

Question is if the $200 was pending and not available

Why did the ATM say my available balance was $183

And let me withdraw the $41.75? Not to mention the

$200 overdraft which my acct is currently over $124

Which would truly only be over drafted $57 if they had

Only charged me for what was truly NSF which was

The $200 that went through on 10/02/09. This

Banking institution SUCKS and I have since closed my

Account and moved my funds to a much more

Pleasant bank, NATIONAL BANK. If you're considering

This bank for any reason, I RECOMMEND YOU DON'T,

You'll just be having your money stolen from you.
