I bought new struts from 1a auto inc in November, 2021 (5 months ago) for my wife's Honda Pilot. She only drives on regular roads and highways, and does not do any offroading or anything besides normal driving. She was driving on the highway on April 5th, 2022 when one of the struts broke in half. Luckily no one was hurt in the process. She had to get her vehicle towed to a local mechanic. They said they have never seen a new strut break like this in all there years as mechanics. The cost to replace the broken strut is around $500, not including a $150 tow bill, and rental car costs for my wife to get home and have a vehicle to drive. I asked 1a auto to do the right thing and only pay for the cost of replacing there broken strut, which themechanic. Upon further investigation, I see they have over 60 similar complaints on BBB where there new parts fall under normal driving condtions.

Bought ignition kit with 3 coils, 6 spark plugs and wires. Had random misfires. Finally put my old coils back on and oldsmobile silhouette is running good. Noticed one coil had different part #. And that one didnt misfire according to plugs. Shouldn't companies selling electrical parts test them themselves before selling? I read somewhere that someone else had this problem and the seller said that a good mechanic would check them before using them. But does the seller sell bad stuff? Do they care. Well is 1a auto a good supplier?

Brakes
September 1, 2021

Order brakes and rotors which was a great deal for ceramic. They sent the wrong ones for the exact fit to my vehicle. Sat on hold for over an hour to be told that there are 2 different sizes and being as that i was sent the wrong ones or was prefitted the wrong ones I am now obligated to pay shipping to return the parts in order to receive a refund.

Fuel tank depicts painted but it's bare metal
November 8, 2021

I paid more to order from 1A Auto since their pictures show a painted metal fuel tank. When it arrived, it was bare metal and it also had scratches on it. The shipping box was undamaged so I feel the scratches were a manufacturing defect, not 1A Auto. I called to complain about the misrepresented "painted" fuel tank but the operator said they make no claim that the tank is painted. Gave me the option of returning the tank at my expense for a refund. I ended up buying the necessary undercoating and did it myself. I posted a negative review for the gas tank and a positive review on the filler neck that I also bought at the same time. By the way, the filler neck shows black in the pictures and does in fact come painted black. Of course 1A Auto posted my positive filler neck review and deleted my negative tank review.

They do not stand behind products when they make the mistake in ordering. They told me the part number to order using my VIN. I took the part to my mechanic and he charged $175.00 to install and aim. They told me it was horrible to install them. I called 1A Auto and all they told me wrong part number based on VIN rep gave me previously. All they are willing to do is refund my money after I ship the headlights back.

I am out $175.00 and I have no headlights now. I realize and am fine with the cost for th install. Now I have to repay to have them uninstalled, than install new ones which is just wrong because it was 1a Auto fault that they did not fit.

My order number was

Parts wrong size
April 29, 2020

2014 impala lt cv axle. Came in in decent time went to put in car the spline shaft on tranny side lined up well. But the spline shaft on the wheel side didn't line up. Got out calipers and measured. The O. D. on the original spline shaft measures 1.28 the replacement part 1.4. Emailed and i'm responsible for shipping it back for refund when all i wanted was the correct part. Would not recommend unless you want to waste $$ on shipping for their mistakes

They have my back
February 26, 2020

1-A Auto stands behind they're products.
I recently had a delivery sent to me a little busted up. I sent 1-A-Auto a email about the problem and they sent replacement parts no questions asked.
I know it probably wasn't their fault but they stood behind they're products and they had my back

Parts did not fit
June 4, 2021

I am shocked.
I bought 04 scion xa control arms for over $ 100 and get them in there, and the holes in the bushings are way to small for the OEM bolts (I just took off the car) to fit through. And, there not just a little to small, they are WAY off in size. Not to mention that they have to be mallet in to place with way more effort then they should need. I ordered them 4 days ago and now I have to hope for a return.
I have a lot going on and this is a huge inconvenience, especially if I have to eat the cost.
I have loved 1A auto for a while, loved them on utube and used some of there other parts. I'm so disappointed I cant see straight.

I ordered a set of tow mirrors for my 2016 Silverado. The first set had all the bells and whistles. My bad, I can not upgrade to options. Second set, determined by * in a chat, did not have the ambient air sensor circuit in it, although I was promised it did. Now two times of removing and installation. Last chat, as it takes 40 minutes on hold, was that was the wrong set. RMA sent to me. 10 seconds after being told they did not have the product I needed, they cut the "Chat" due to lack of communication on my end. Seconds after they admitted screwing up the order. I am $750.00 deep on a card, out $89.00 on RMA costs, and have nothing to show for my effort, other than the doors are going to make noise now that everything is loose. What a crap company. This sucks.

Purchased a complete break kit package front and rear rotors, pads and accessories. Installed the front rotors and pads and had an excessive noise with pulsation during stopping. After many times of removing the calipers and verifying proper installation and regreasing every point. I even purchased a front CV drive axle and determined the problem still existed. I had the rotors inspected and found they were warped and not balanced. I contacted 1A Auto and they refused to do anything about my problem due to the timing. I at this time do not recommend buying any critical drive components from 1A Auto.

I bought a pair of expensive headlights and paid a lot of money for extra fast shipping and they decided to cancel the order without even telling me. I received no confirmation of this and had to call multiple times just to get an answer, they also never gave me an actual reason why and I'm STILL waiting for my money to be returned. Do not use this company, they're AWFUL.

I had 3 of the same part fail in the exact same way 2 on my vehicle and one on a friends. And now I have to replace almost $1300 in race bearings on my bottom end because they use garbage Chinese parts. And got a nice "theres nothing i can do" and "this part only has 1% return rate for defect" my distributor wich in my vehicle, drives the oil pump. Literally explode on the bottom side and I lost all oil pressure immediately. I replaced the dizzy because the hall sensor was defective on the oem one. NEVER IN MY LIFE, and ive been building and racing mk3 vw's for about 6 years now, have i had the oil pump drive pins explode at 2k rpm! While driving it softly. It also never fixed my hall sensor issues. I have built these motors to rev to 9600 rpm on a factory dizzy and they take it. For your sake do not buy oarts that matter from here.

December 19, 2022

Ok so I ordered a O2 sensor for my wife car and it made it to UPS pretty quick then from UPS when they dropped it off at USPS some how it got lost I waited and waited contacted customer service and they responded within 24hrs and they went ahead and sente a new one out right away. I really appreciated 1A handling it quickly. I would recommend them to anyone. The package getting lost was not their fault but they made sure I was satisfied! Thank you very much. I'll make sure I order through them. I may pay for UPS expedited to make sure it doesn't have to get dropped off at USPS have a great day

Defective axle
September 30, 2020

I ordered an axle and they sent me a defective one. I didn't know it was defective until I tried to drive my car. The bearings fell out immediately. I sent it back for a refund and they denied it. I ended up ordering an axle from UroTuning and its been working great since. Bad experience with 1aauto. Will never order anything from them anymore.

I purchased a wheel bearing hub on 6/20/20 and the part has failed in February on 2021. As far as I know (insert sarcasm here) a wheel bearing hub should last a few years, no? Here's the kicker. Since I was absolutely sure the noise I was hearing wasn't from the hub I had just replaced in June, I ended up replacing my whole front end. Front Struts, motor mounts, Axles, lower control arms, inner and outter tie rods, wheel alignments, two new rim and all new tires. Also replaced the other wheel bearing hub. While I'm not entirely upset some of those repairs were done, they were needed especially my motor mounts. The struts, axles, new tires, the rims, lower control arms and tie rods could have waited. Scratch 1A Auto off your list if you don't want to do double work replacing parts and putting your families life in jeopardy with inferior parts! It took me 4 mos to find out the noise was coming from that damn hub! Smh! Epic Fail 1A Auto!

This company is a joke a get they advertise ok parts but overall I had a bad experience with These guys.
